President Trump delivered the first State of the Union of his second term as a deeply unpopular leader, at least according to the polls. But he didn't sound like a man on the back foot - and he didn't give any indication that he's about to change course. It was the longest speech in the 236-year history of the President's annual message. And is now so often the case, the amateur dramatics will be remembered better than anything the president actually said. There were standing ovations for the heroic US Olympic hockey team, for Charlie Kirk's widow Erika, and for a Venezuelan prisoner reunited with his niece after Maduro's arrest. The only mention of the Epstein Files, unsurprisingly, came from heckling Democrats - for whom the president had strong words. Joining Piers Morgan to discuss the latest in the world of US politics is co-host of Steve Bannon's War Room, Natalie Winters, host of Gains For Girls on Outkick, Riley Gaines, host of No Lie, Brian Tyler Cohen and mayor of Newark City Ras Baraka. Piers also speaks to Colorado Republican Rep. Lauren Boebert and Princess Diana's former butler Paul Burrell. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Political activist Riley Gaines calls in to talk about transgender-related controversies, recent violent incidents involving transgender individuals, and what they describe as Democrats and media using labels like “racist” and “misogynistic” to silence criticism. Gaines argues that the “affirmation model” harms children, contends the suicide narrative is used to pressure parents, and says some activists are taught that “words are violence,” which she believes can justify real violence. Sid and Riley also discuss parental rights, with Gaines speaking as a new mother about government overreach, and review progress on keeping men out of women's sports, citing 27 states' laws, Trump executive orders, and the need for Congress to act while naming states they say are defying the orders. The conversation ends with criticism of Olympic athletes who disparage the U.S. and of reporters asking athletes political questions, which Gaines says is baiting them to attack Trump rather than focusing on sport. The swimmer she tied with, Riley Gaines, believed the NCAA never should have allowed her to participate. The matchup, and Gaines' subsequent transformation into a leading anti-trans activist, has fueled a growing movement to “save women's sports” from trans women—and a conservative crusade against trans rights more broadly. This week on Reveal, we examine Gaines' rise and radicalization, as her rhetoric shifts from calling out NCAA policy to calling trans women  sexual predators.Over the last year, the anti-trans movement has reached a tipping point. Bryce, who boldly shares the gospel with everyone — from KKK members to furries, politicians to the homeless — reminds us that every soul needs Jesus. He opens up about his dramatic conversion at 17, when a supernatural encounter with Christ ended years of depression and suicidal thoughts. Bryce also shares how he went from timid “Jesus loves you” street evangelism to confidently proclaiming the full gospel and the lessons he's learned in five years of fearless outreach. Plus Allie has a special conversation with Riley, who just welcomed her baby girl — and how motherhood has intensified her fight for fairness in women's sports, shifted her worldview, and fueled her unapologetic courage. In this episode of The Clay Edwards Show, host Clay Edwards kicks off with a fiery take on living in interesting times, battling cancel culture, and fighting for unfiltered truth in Jackson, Mississippi. Joined by caller Derek, the conversation dives into personal growth, embracing stoicism inspired by Marcus Aurelius, and the importance of men stepping up as leaders—surrounding yourself with like-minded people to build strength and normalize masculinity. They touch on cultural shifts, from making testosterone great again to the upside-down food pyramid and the need for real masculine role models like GI Joes and Tonka trucks.   The discussion shifts to modern challenges in churches, where single men feel alienated by messages focused on family leadership, and explores broader issues like pushing trade schools over college for everyone. Clay addresses the recent synagogue arson by a young man from Madison, examining how online radicalization—possibly tied to manosphere content—twists self-improvement into antisemitism, and calls for getting this under control without infringing on free speech.   Later, Clay tackles the bribery scandal involving Hinds County DA Jody Owens, who claims entrapment by the FBI, and questions if others like former Mayor Chokwe Antar Lumumba will follow suit. The episode heats up with a deep dive into the Supreme Court hearing on transgender athletes in women's sports, featuring audio from Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson's questioning and reactions from callers like Lindsay Beckham. They slam the absurdity of redefining gender, the slippery slope of locker room access, and how figures like Riley Gaines are standing up for women's rights. Clay argues common sense must prevail, suggesting a WNBA scenario with a transgender player could flip the narrative.   Wrapping up with listener texts and calls on youth radicalization, Clay emphasizes America First priorities while rejecting blanket hatred. Strap in for raw, no-holds-barred talk on culture, politics, and reclaiming common sense.

Meet my friends, Clay Travis and Buck Sexton! If you love Verdict, the Clay Travis and Buck Sexton Show might also be in your audio wheelhouse. Politics, news analysis, and some pop culture and comedy thrown in too. Here’s a sample episode recapping four takeaways. Give the guys a listen and then follow and subscribe wherever you get your podcasts. TX Sen. Ted Cruz Joins the Show! Clay highlights encouraging data showing core inflation dropping to 2.6%, its lowest level since March 2021. The hosts explain why this trend signals progress toward the Federal Reserve’s 2% target and could lead to lower interest rates in 2026. They also discuss affordability challenges and debate proposals like capping credit card interest rates at 10%, with Senator Ted Cruz joining the show to warn about unintended consequences that could hurt low-income Americans by restricting access to credit. The hour concludes with a deep dive into Iran’s escalating protests against the Ayatollah’s regime, featuring an extended interview with Texas Senator Ted Cruz. Cruz calls the uprising a potential “Berlin Wall moment,” predicting the Islamic theocracy could collapse within weeks following its humiliating defeat in the recent 12-day war with Israel. He praises President Trump’s strong stance in support of Iranian freedom and outlines strategies ranging from cyber operations to limited kinetic strikes against regime forces, while stressing the importance of keeping the revolution authentically Iranian. Cruz also reveals that Elon Musk has activated Starlink over Iran to help protesters bypass government censorship, underscoring the role of technology in modern resistance movements. Buck's Crazy Credit Card Story From cultural flashpoints, the discussion moves to economic policy and affordability, spotlighting Trump’s proposal to cap credit card interest rates at 10% for one year. Clay questions whether a president can legally impose such a cap, while Buck recalls predatory practices like shifting due dates and punitive APR hikes that previously triggered regulatory crackdowns. Senator Ted Cruz warns that such caps could backfire by restricting credit access for high-risk borrowers, pushing them toward payday lenders or worse. Listener calls enrich the debate: one caller warns that temporary caps could encourage larger balances only to reset at 20% later, echoing pitfalls of adjustable-rate mortgages; another shares a teachable moment with her grandson about compound interest and minimum payments, underscoring the need for financial literacy in schools. Clay contextualizes Trump’s move as part of a broader populist strategy to address affordability concerns heading into the 2026 midterms, alongside proposals to curb institutional home purchases. Financial Literacy Isn't Taught at School The hour opens with a candid discussion on financial literacy and mortgage realities, as Clay explains how most homeowners misunderstand amortization tables. For the first decade of a 30-year mortgage, nearly all payments go toward interest rather than principal, leaving many Americans unaware of how little equity they build early on. The hosts argue that schools fail to teach essential financial skills—such as understanding compound interest, credit card debt, and mortgage structures—leaving consumers vulnerable to predatory practices. This ties into their broader critique of systemic financial inequities and the need for transparency in lending. The conversation then shifts to Trump’s economic agenda, highlighted by his speech at the Detroit Economic Club. Clay and Buck analyze Trump’s populist proposals, including a one-year cap on credit card interest rates at 10% and restrictions on institutional investors buying single-family homes. They debate the feasibility and impact of these measures, noting that while Trump’s plan may face legal hurdles, it resonates politically by addressing affordability concerns. Buck shares personal anecdotes about credit card companies’ predatory tactics, reinforcing why Trump’s stance on consumer protection is striking a chord with voters. The hosts also explore how housing shortages are exacerbated by illegal immigration and corporate ownership of residential properties, driving up prices and squeezing middle-class families. SCOTUS Trans Athlete Arguments From economics, the hour pivots to a landmark Supreme Court case on transgender athletes in women’s sports, featuring an interview with Jennifer Sey, founder of XX-XY Athletics and former Levi’s executive. Sey, who spoke at a rally on the steps of the Supreme Court alongside Riley Gaines, calls the case a fight for reality and fairness, arguing that Title IX was designed to protect female athletes based on biological sex—not gender identity. She warns that allowing males to compete in women’s sports undermines decades of progress and discourages girls from participating. Sey predicts that even if the Court rules 6–3 in favor of states like West Virginia and Idaho, progressive states will double down on policies permitting biological males in female sports, framing the issue as a cultural battle that must be fought beyond the courtroom. Clay and Buck echo her concerns, blasting terms like “cisgender” and “trans girls” as linguistic fictions that normalize gender ideology at the expense of women’s rights. SEASON 4 EPISODE 43: COUNTDOWN WITH KEITH OLBERMANN A-Block (2:30) SPECIAL COMMENT: TRUMP BLOWS UP THE EPSTEIN DEAD WHALE - AND WHY DID HE NAME IT TRUMP MEMORIAL? Remember when they blew up the eight-ton beached whale carcass in Oregon in 1970? Tons of dynamite, they figured it would vaporize the poor dead creature and any pieces left over would be devoured by birds? And instead they sent chunks of hard blubber a hundred feet in the air and actually crushed a car and left debris everywhere? That's what Trump just did to the Epstein Scandal. Trump doxed victims. Published and then deleted photos of himself. Planted photos of Bill Clinton and got caught. It’s raining chunks of Epstein dead whale blubber on the White House AND TRUMP. And I know this is semantics. But why did Trump re-name it ““The Donald J. Trump and The John F. Kennedy MEMORIAL Center for the Performing Arts” That means it’s the Donald J. Trump Memorial Center. Why did he name it TRUMP MEMORIAL? Did I miss a bulletin or something? AND IN MEMORY OF PETER ARNETT: A colleague of mine the day I started full time in television at CNN in 1982 and the day I started full time in news in 2003, he was a great reporter because he could tell the truth about Vietnam, sneak into Afghanistan, cheat death, and then when nothing big was happening would go cover a snowstorm in Manhattan or counsel a rookie sportscaster who needed advice. B-Block (28:00) THE WORST PERSONS IN THE WORLD: Mehmet Oz has an update on the great challenge of inflation in the penis market, Riley Gaines (America's favorite 85th Place Finisher) has podcast news, and Lindsey Halligan misspells "Virginia." At least we THINK she meant Virginia. C-Block (36:00) CHRISTMAS WITH THURBER: Haven't done any lately and there is a holiday coming so here goes. My favorite - and the first Thurber story I ever read aloud ("A Box To Hide In"). His best known ("The Secret Life Of Walter Mitty") and the one that inadvertently brought me into the 'official' Thurber fold ("The Peacelike Mongoose").See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
