Whats that? Listeners? In the Zoom chat? With Nat and Circ? Live? Yes, indeed. Since the iCarly gang invite their biggest fan onset to watch iCarly be filmed LIVE and IN PERSON, Nat and Circ invited some listeners to come eavesdrop on their Zoom call! In this week's episode of iCarly, the gang's biggest fan, Mandy, wreaks havoc on their lives after becoming a borderline stalker. The podbabes get into some potential Spencer/Carly incest moments, taking Spencer to Paris ;), and more unhinged nonsense that has barely any substantial precedence in the iCarlyverse which kind of makes them the QAnon of iCarly. iAnon, if you will. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app

I had a great time talking with Glenn Orms owner of "The Cow Lot" & I'm sure you will find the history behind it as amazing I as did. In 1952, Nat Fleming, a young, North Texas Bootmaker, Rodeo Announcer, and entrepreneur, in Wichita Falls, Texas, had a dream.  (https://thecowlot.wpengine.com/)  was where essential work was done on the ranch, where cowboys worked their cattle. Nat dreamed of providing the cowboys who worked there with two must-have tools of their trade, a good hat and a pair of boots that “FIT”. That dream manifested into an all-out Western retail store, the Cow Lot. A 54-year body of work began, dedicated to Service, Quality, Honesty & Integrity…i.e. the Western Way of Life and How You Wear It. To enter the doors of the Cow Lot was to enter Nat’s dream. The scene emulated the American West and its way of doing business. Product quality was second only to the integrity of the personalized service. Each salesperson was an actual cowboy, passionate to serve you, their guest. Whether you were the President of the bank or the bank held the mortgage on your property, you were treated like you were the King of the Cowboys, or the Queen of the Cowgirls, as the case might be. Art was created before your very eyes by one of Nat’s hired cowhands posing as a salesperson. Hats were shaped to best serve your lifestyle and personality. Boots were fitted. Fit was guaranteed. Prices were affordable. Customer satisfaction was the order of the day. Together with his longtime friend Gene O’Brien, and later my father Dewey Orms, they built the Cow Lot into one of the finest Western Stores in North Texas, winning several awards including the Wendy Ryon Western Retailer of the Year. Nat met his life partner and wife, Tawana, at the store when she happened in for a new pair of Levis. The likes of legendary Larry McMurtry, author of Lonesome Dove, whose family ranched in the nearby town of Archer City, Texas, would stop and have a cup of coffee and visit and maybe buy a new pair of boots or a new hat. Nat was a pioneer in TV and Radio. In the early ’50s The Nat Fleming Show was one of the first on local TV providing 30 minutes a day 5 days a week. A big deal then because TV was only on 3 hours a day. He started broadcasting a weekly Saturday morning radio show from the store, The Nat Fleming Horn Honkin’ Show. When he saw a car drive by he would ask, ‘Honk your horn if you are listening .” 90% of the time the driver would honk and wave. The store grew and so did Nat’s inventory. Boot sizes ran from AAA widths to D. Fit was of utmost importance. Nat believed, ‘If you have to have a license to cut hair, you should have to have one to sell shoes.” People came from all over the United States to buy boots that “Fit”, the same was true with hats. Longtime Cow Lot general manager, JR Gahagan, shaped and fit most of the cowboys who were shooting the then popular and now famous Marlboro Man advertisements on a nearby ranch. Growing up in the Cow Lot, I was officially hired on in my Junior year of High School, where my skills in the art of boot fitting and hat shaping were fine-tuned. Just as importantly, I advanced my education in Nat’s University of Down Home Business, majoring in Homespun Philosophy and graduated with degrees in Service, Quality, Honesty & Integrity. After 54 years of service to his customers, Nat closed the doors to the great retail icon of North Texas and retired to work the real Cow Lot at his ranch in Byers, TX, where he was born and raised. He passed away in 2018 at the age of 96 leaving behind his wife Tawanna and his son Marty, who still run their cattle operation. In 2013 I found myself presented with an opportunity to re-open the Cow Lot. With Nat’s blessing, I took on the Cow Lot brand and created a hybrid version….an event based retail  (https://thecowlot.wpengine.com/product-category/twisted-x-shoes/) ....

With Nat on IR with a Filming, Mike and Dan needed a safe pair of hands to help them out with tonight’s show and they don’t come much safer (well, there is one guy…) than Mr Hockey Erik Janssen who immediately has the guys talking about money and not taking your dad to work… In other news: Mancave have 20% off all gift sets and buckets in honour of Father’s Day so buy some, tell yourself you’re going to give it to him, then keep it; Unibet are dishing out a £25 deposit bonus when you sign up via unibet.co.uk/americarnage; Mike dishes out a few betting tips, some are good; Dan suggests you go further, this might not be so good; Dan brings up the Great Slippery Phone Insurance scam; the guys all went to see The Boss; Mike talks about Ali; Erik tells us about Sidney Crosby lifting the Stanley Cup; no matter how good this is, should hockey tip into June? The gang think not; Mike and Erik talk about the late, great Gordy Howe; in the NBA things have been strangely un-thrilling as LeBron’s Cavs and Golden State knock it back and forth, including some dick-punches as per last year; then all of a sudden LeBron and Kyrie made a game of it which, combined with some Golden State indiscipline takes it to Game 6 in Cleveland; Mike talks baseball and Rex Sox knuckleballers; in the American League everyone sucks, in the National League there are some great games – we might be over-simplifying… things happen in the Non-Stop League too but still three months until first Gronk-Spike so let’s keep it to that right now; there are some cracking questions in the Mancave Mailbag and, you guessed it, much, much more…

With Nat still in Panama dealing with the fallout of recent events, Mike and Dan find themselves doing a two-hander this week, something that immediately and unsurprisingly becomes a bit rude. It involves hands. In other news: Mike stood in for Nat on Talksport 2 the other night, it was fun; the Question of the Week on the Mancave app is Adam Wright from Cardiff – he wins a big box of goodies and you can too; Dan has a lot of three points, but that’s what happens when he’s not allowed to talk for two weeks; one of them is a film, another is telly and the third is a book so it’s very nearly a media clean-sweep; the NFL round-up is less sports and more CSI but then that’s depressingly familiar; lots of trading and manoeuvring ahead of the draft; Kaepernick is once again in the news and what the bloody hell is going on there? In the NBA the Cavs have won the East and the Warriors have won the West, although the Spurs did their damnedest to spoil that party; Kobe’s retiring apparently, no-one cares; the NHL playoffs start TONIGHT and Washington had their best ever season resulting in a top seed while everyone else just kind of gets slotted in somehow; lots of other things but also David Cameron has been fired… From his coaching job with the Ottawa Senators; stickball season is back and Mike talks a lot about that, Dan less so; loads on Mancave Mailbag goodness and just the right amount of much, much more…

With Nat on IR this week the Iron One slides into the hosts chair just in time to witness Dan's glorious return from the states and Phil (da Producer) Spooner's glorious return from, um, Stratford and the discussion immediately turns to Scottish independence. Y'know, cos we keep it current. Then we get to Draft Day and all gets better... In other news: Phil has a nostalgic experience, Dan talks charming crackheads - these two things are related; Mike talks Draft Day; more NFL fun than you can shake a challenge flag at, including the International Series' first coach-sacking; Dallas look surprisingly good; the Pats look creaky as hell; Indy look good; Tampa surprise; NHL preseason is well and truly underway. Jeff Carter nabbed a hat trick in the King’s Preseason game against the Ducks; NBA press day saw Kobe let both barrels lose on former Lakers coach Mike D’Antononi; Phil makes a very fine point on this; one-game playoffs in the MLB feel strange; loads of Bodeans goodness and of course, much, much more...

Mike and Dan are gentle, sensitive and ferociously moral guys, despite often coming off as mostly the opposite of all those things. With Nat away on work-y travels they're brought more than up to strength by the fabulous David Whitney who brings, amongst many other things, the world's greatest laugh... In other news: Several films get thoroughly debated, including a detailed analysis of Grown-Ups 2; Mike's been watching Firefly; Lucozade cures AIDS; Football is back! Tebow gets a run out for the Patriots and managing only a 50% pass completion rate against the Eagles, for whom Michale Vick starred; Nick Foles fumbled and Riley Cooper managed to avoid calling anyone the N Word, more on that later; in Detroit, Sanchez started terribly – being picked off by rookie Ziggy Ansah, before he picked up and threw a TD; in better news for him Geno Smith looked shaky and rolled his ankle on a wobbly scramble; things happen in the baseball, Mike tells you about them; basketball is coming soon, Dan tells you more about that; Dan comes up with a cracking game based around smack-talk; a member of the Department of History, Race and Race Relations stars in the Bodeans Mailbag and the gang clarify some of their position on the whole Washington thing and much, much more...

With Nat away repairing his secret underground lair this week, Mike and Dan turn to other distractions. They're a literary pair, they read books and everything, yeah? Except Dan says he doesn't. This proves no bar to enjoying their company of this week's guest. Please welcome Guggenheim fellow, New Jersey native and 49-er's fan: the celebrated American poet August Kleinzahler. In other news: August has never seen Mike drunk. Or after 4.30pm; Thanksgiving turned into head stomping as Ndamakong Suh is ejected for the most hilariously blatant attack in a while; Stevie Johnson gets fined only fifteen yards for pretending to shoot himself in front of Plaxico Burress; God punishes him and he drops a potentially game winning touchdown against the Jets; the Colts are now 0-11 and have benched Curtis Painter…; Tebow wins AGAIN, Norv Turner looks on the way out, the Eagles signed off on their season and the 49ers lost to the Ravens; never criticise the Boston Bruins again, it just makes them angry then they win everything; he Maple Leafs are all injured, the Panthers are going well and the Canucks are also mounting a huge comeback, partly due to the form of Corey Schneider; in Russia and Finland, fighting has been the order of the day; NBA is BACK! Well, not yet, at Christmas; Dwight Howard is the biggest free agent – expected to leave Orlando for at least two first round picks; corrections and clarifications; mailbag and much much more...
