Host Ricky Sacks is joined by returning regular panellists Broadcaster Russ Williams, Actor TJ Ramini and Marlon as Xavi Simons inspired us to a first Premier League win since late October with a goal and an assist as we beat Brentford 2-0 on Saturday afternoon. The Dutch international produced arguably his best performance in our colours following his August arrival, setting up Richarlison for the opener before scoring his first goal as a Spurs player with a wonderful solo effort, leaving us in control at half-time. We probably should have won by more as Thomas Frank came up against his former side for the first time, creating a whole host of chances which we didn't take, while Guglielmo Vicario was only called into action once to keep out Igor Thiago in the first period. It was a first league victory and clean sheet since the 3-0 win at Everton on 26 October and a first home victory in the division since the opening day against Burnley but it was a performance to leave us with plenty of optimism going into the busy festive period and beyond. It's the first double round week in the EPL that has taken place so far this season. With twenty games, the boys rapid fire their way through a number of fixtures. Chief among those was the London derby at Stamford Bridge between Chelsea and Arsenal. Points shared left both Brad and James feeling disappointing. Sean's misery at the weekend was contrasted by feelings of relief and joy as Spurs ambled their way to an injury time draw away to Newcastle. And Wolves are still on two points. Will they equal or better Derby County's dubious record? Flav Bateman of The Fighting Cock joins Mike ahead of a reunion with Thomas Frank, as Keith Andrews' Brentford travel to Spurs on Saturday. Frank started the season well with good performances against PSG in the Super Cup and Man City in the league, but since then, it's been difficult for our former boss, with the football stale, the results infrequent, and the home form abject. We chat about the sentiment towards Frank, the strength of Spurs' squad, whether Lilywhites fans believe our former gaffer can turn it around, and the magnitude of the game on Saturday. Host Ricky Sacks is joined by returning guests Martin Cloake, Marlon and Luke as returning Cristian Romero produced a two-goal captain's performance including a stoppage time overhead kick to earn us a dramatic point at St James' Park on Tuesday evening. Back in the side after serving a one-game suspension on Saturday, the skipper twice cancelled out Newcastle goals as the game exploded into life in the final 20 minutes. The Magpies' own captain, Bruno Guimaraes, came off the bench to open the scoring with a fine strike before Romero's diving header drew us level. Then, after a controversial penalty was converted by Anthony Gordon with four minutes left, our Argentine international scored a spectacular equaliser five minutes into injury time to salvage a 2-2 draw. Erling Haaland scored his 100th Man City goal in just 111 games last night, but that was only half the story on a crazy night at Craven Cottage. Fulham fought back from 1-5 down to make it a nervy ending for Pep Guardiola's side, but the Citizens held on to keep the gap between themselves and leaders Arsenal at two points before the Gunners face Brentford. Elsewhere, Newcastle twice led toothless Spurs at St James' Park, only for Cristian Romero to score a diving header and a 'bicycle kick', the second of which came halfway through nine minutes of added time, to break black and white hearts on Tyneside. Hour 2--J&J Show Wednesday (12/3/25) contin' more on Memphis vs. NOLA tonight + Grizzlies vs. Spurs, Ja Morant value questioned, & John vs. TA's kid lol
0:00 ... Show open ... Ross introduces the panel and dedicates show #203 to Amare' Stoudemire, who was Rookie of the Year in 2003 for the Phoenix Suns. 1:04 ... The Oklahoma City Thunder are on a historically torrid pace with 20 wins in their first 21 games. World B has some great numbers on their incredible defense. They will be without top rebounder Isaiah Hartenstein for a couple of weeks so Chet Holmgren will need to grab some more rebounds. The crew speculates on how long it will take for them to lose another game. 10:04 .... The Lakers are also very hot and have the third best record in the league. Luka Doncic is now the main man in LA with aging LeBron James as his wingman, but can LeBron accept a supporting role? And will his ego cause him to play more games than he should? He needs to be fresh for the playoffs, but if he decides he HAS to play 65 games for personal reasons that could be an issue. 16:27 ... Austin Reaves has been spectacular to start the season, but when LeBron was not playing, he needed to step up and he did. But with LeBron back on the floor, Reaves' numbers may suffer but not to the detriment of the team. 19:30 ... The guys each pick a western conference team they're keeping their eyes on. Bruce picks the Spurs, World B picks the Suns, and Ross chooses the Clippers. 26:44 ... We move to the eastern conference where the Cleveland Cavaliers have struggled recently. As talented as they are, they really miss Jarrett Allen and if he is out for a long time, the Cavs have a big problem. Allen is not the only key player that is injured and it really has shown up in their shooting numbers. 32:57 ... The Orlando Magic have been without injured Paolo Banchero for three weeks but have continues to play well and win. Desmond Bane has really stepped up in Paolo's absence and scored 24 points a game during the month of November. And no team plays harder. They still have a chance to get to 50 wins, which they have not done since the 2010-'11 season. 37:42 ... The guys each pick a eastern conference team they're keeping their eyes on. Bruce picks the Celtics, World B picks the Hawks, and Ross chooses the Pacers 43:56 ... Ross wraps it up and says goodbye. TRT 44:11 Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company.
