Apple has become a product goldmine with the success of the iMac and iPod, but Jony and Steve refuse to stop there. Jony Ive believes that he can do for phones what the iMac did for computers. And if he does that, it'll secure the legacy of his collaboration with his best friend, Steve Jobs. The only problem is Jony's design requires materials that aren't on the marketplace, and Steve's health is declining rapidly. In his final act, Jony will have to find a way to honor Apple's vision — a vision that has changed how the world interacts with technology and that he helped design.Listen ad free with Wondery+. Five years ago, Nir Eyal showed the world how tech-companies build apps, games, and platforms that highjack your attention and become near impossible to stop using in his book, Hooked: How to Build Habit-Forming Products. That book became a global phenomenon and opened people's eyes to the power of technology to not just help, but consume our lives. His new book, Indistractable: How to Control Your Attention and Choose Your Life (https://amzn.to/2KXnkMx), serves as a guidebook for getting the best of technology and reclaiming our attention, without letting it get the best of us. In addition to writing and speaking, Eyal has also lectured at Stanford's Graduate School of Business and the Hasso Plattner Institute of Design.
