Jones and Keefe bring live play-by-play updates from Foxborough, breaking down the premier 1-on-1 matchups between the Patriots top cornerbacks and receivers. The guys float a theory on whether New England and Seattle could be working together on negations for Christian Gonzalez and Devon Witherspoon to keep market costs down. Red Sox insider Rob Bradford joins the show to address Jarren Duran's clubhouse popularity and thinks the Red Sox need to target a shortstop at the deadline.

On today's Friday Four Pack, the guys answer some tough questions including: Who could be a surprise cut for the Patriots, Should there be a limit of items at self checkout, and more!

Rob Bradford joins the show to discuss the Jarren Duran situation and what he thinks the Red Sox will do at the deadline. Bradford thinks Duran is well liked in the clubhouse and these instances do not bring down his popularity among teammates. He wants the Red Sox to prioritze getting a shortstop at the deadline.

Kayshon Boutte requested a trade back in April before they had A.J Brown but after the first couple days of training camp Boutte has been the best wide receiver. The guys do not want to trade Boutte for a fifth or sixth round pick, as he has value on this Patriots team. Boutte for an edge rusher?

Finally a positive update on Roman Anthony as he is now able to swing a bat. The guys are hoping he will be able to come back this year and replace Jarren Duran. The Red Sox have clinched the fewest losses in July in franchise history! Who are they looking for at the deadline?

After an outburst last night and the trade deadline coming up, Jones and Keefe think Duran needs to be gone. The guys do not think any teams will want him after the year he is having and the attitude issue's, putting Chad Tracy in a tough position.

The Red Sox win another series on the road but Jarren Duran was the biggest story from last nights game. Duran popped out to shallow left field and then proceeded yell at Willson Contreras to tag up and run home. The guys think he needs to be off the team after this outburst and a terrible year of hitting.

The Jones and Keefe Show from Thursday, July 30, 2026

With the trade deadline looming and the Red Sox firmly in buyer mode after taking two of the three from Oakland. Jones and Keefe examine potential roster upgrades and target fits including Jeff Passan's suggestion of Otto Lopez. The guys vent their frustration with the training staff after Curtis Mead's wrist injury turned about to be broken rather than a minor scare. Plus the guys check in on Patriots training camp attendance.

Jones and Keefe break down all the live play-by-play action from Patriots practice, starting with the early chemistry building between Drake Maye and A.J. Brown after a big completion. The guys react to competitive 1-on-1 drills between Gonzo and Brown. Kyle Williams made a fantastic catch for a touchdown. Jones and Keefe kicked off the show by discussing the comments from Patriots cornerback Christian Gonzalez regarding his contract extension negotiations with the organization. Will Gonzalez be a full participant on Thursday? The guys also talked about the Drake Maye-A.J. Brown connection and the latest on rookie Gabe Jacas.

Jones and Keefe got into the Red Sox, the team placing Curtis Mead on the IL with a fractured wrist, and the team's medical staff.  The guys also discussed last night's Red Sox loss to the A's and whether the bats have gone quiet.  Jones and Keefe answered a round of Would You Rather questions and Keefe shared the latest in television and movies in the #DORK Minute.

Jones and Keefe continued to discuss the latest in the Patriots contract extension negotiations with cornerback Christian Gonzalez. Between Robert Kraft and Gonzalez, who is more desperate to finalize a deal? The guys also talked about the Drake Maye to A.J. Brown connection and the combo working on getting on the same page. As the trade deadline gets closer the Red Sox are looking for a couple more pieces to add. The guys were not impressed with Chad Tracy's managing last night, the lineup was questionable and Jake Bennett should have been pulled earlier. A couple of miscues on offense but overall Tracy has been doing well recently.

After getting hit by a pitch in the wrist, Curtis Mead will miss significant time. The Red Sox medical staff has been awful this year so the guys are concerned about when he may return. Will he play for the Red Sox again this season?

Jones and Keefe dive into the concerning situation surrounding second round pick Gabe Jacas. Reports suggest the Patriots were unaware of Jacas' knee injury prior to the draft, raising massive questions about what is next for the edge rusher. When will he be back on the field?

Drake Maye is struggling to make completions to A.J. Brown. Kayshon Boutte on the other hand looks significantly better than Brown, but the guys are confident they will figure it out before the start of the 2026-27 season. How will Kevin Byard fit into the Patriots defense?

Christian Gonzalez is not giving a straight answer to whether he will participate on Thursday when the pads come on. Denzel Ward just became the highest paid cornerback in the league giving an opportunity for Robert Kraft to offer more to Gonzo making him the highest paid corner.

Christian Gonzalez has still not signed a new contract, but has been participating at training camp. The guys feel Gonzo has gone about this in a good way regarding speaking to the media and showing up to camp. The question is, how much longer will he be participating before he gets frustrated with the Patriots?

Ceddanne Rafaela came up clutch for the Red Sox last night against the A's. The Sox are now 23-4 in their last 27 games and have won 10 consecutive road games. Curtis Mead's Red Sox debut did not go as planned after taking a pitch to the hand in the fourth inning leaving him listed as day-to-day. The guys debate what Chad Tracy needs to do to keep remain the Red Sox manager.

Jones and Keefe break down what they are seeing live from Patriots training camp, including a slow start from the Drake Maye and A.J. Brown connection. The guys looks closely at the receiver snap counts, A.J. Brown playing 42 of 71 offensive snaps with Mack Hollins and Romeo Doubs each logging 36. Is Kyle Williams in danger of getting cut?
