From a classic difference maker that has helped millions of people, this longtime golden advice comes from the great Jim Rohn and it's shared by Reads with Ravi (@readswithravi) where Jim reminds us to “Go for the pain of discipline, it weighs ounces. The pain of regret weighs tons.” Every time I hear or read this quote, it hurts. I have let things go for a long time where regrets are starting to get bigger. I've known it for 25 years or so on things that I wanted to create, go after, build, try, etc. All I can do - all any of us can do, is to use today to do something about those things. The discipline to do something today will be for sure easier than to try it later as we get older. Lot's of personal reflections for me here in this one. Hope it helps you too. Thanks for listening. A 5 - Year Game Plan To Mortgage Freedom For Millennials - AJ Scott & Nicole Kichko On this episode I welcome relatively new investors AJ and Nicole, who are young but are already on the right path to financial and mortgage freedom, and on the way to a very early retirement. They started investing only 5 years ago, already own 3 properties and are here to share their incredible story and journey so far! The strategy they've used so far is house hacking, where you purchase a home but either renovate to add additional rental units, or purchase an already renovated duplex, so that it actually MAKES you money the moment you move in. Your expenses drop dramatically while your tenant pays down your mortgage for you! Have they made mistakes? Yes, but willing to share to help others avoid some of them. We talked about how they saved for their down payment; what are their monthly costs, and it's incredibly low; managing risk; mindset; and MORE! And a tip of the week from Gary! If you are someone who thinks it will be hard to purchase a home, this is the episode for you. House hacking is a strategy that allows you to find a home and help it pay for itself. Saw another great post that had a very simple, yet powerful reminder for all of us and it came from POSITIVITY (@PositivitySaid) “Just enjoy life. You will never be this young again.” I sat back to let this sink in a bit and it reminds me to try and do the most with every day that I have. The things that I want to do, need to do, get to do, etc., and as I get older, some of those things (and many others), will only get more difficult with age and time adding up. It's true for all of us - make sure we remind ourselves of this point every day! Thanks for listening. Ever feel like you're working your tail off but somehow going nowhere? Like you're checking all the boxes (posting on social, networking, building your offers) but the progress just isn't showing up the way you want it to? You're not imagining it, and this is way more common than you think. In this episode, Monique T. Marshall is getting into the real reasons why so many Black entrepreneurs hit that frustrating wall where they're busy but not productive. She's breaking down what's actually keeping you stuck and giving you a clear path forward that doesn't involve working yourself into the ground. This isn't about hustling harder. It's about getting strategic with a plan that actually makes sense for your life and your reality. THINGS YOU'LL LEARN DURING THIS EPISODE Why building in isolation is keeping you stuck (and what to do about it) The difference between being busy and being productive How to create a plan that actually works with your life, not against it Why focusing on your "one thing" beats trying to do ten things halfway The mindset shifts that turn exhausting hustle into sustainable progress How to start moving forward with just one conversation Thank you so much for listening! Found a great reminder - a simple reminder that I know I need and I think the entire world needs too. It comes from The Mindfulness Meditation Institute (@TrainingMindful) and the message is: “Being a good person does not depend on your religion, status in life, race, skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how you treat others.” So much of what we see on how some people treat others - it's a horrible lesson of what not to do. It seems humans have never gotten this lesson right. I, of course, am one of those humans that needs to work on this “skill”, “choices”, “habits”, etc. One thing I will be doing, every day - is to try and get better on how I treat others and this starts with me treating me, much better than what I've been doing. Hope this helps you too. Thanks for listening. This post hit home with me simply because I think we need more people pulling for others rather than hoping that others lose or have troubles. I'm certainly trying to follow what the Power of Positivity (@LIVEpositivity) shares here with this: “Call me crazy but I love to see people happy and succeeding. Life is a journey, not a competition.” To me, this is a good kind of “crazy” to be - encouraging others to win in life compared to being a critic and wanting others to lose. The world needs more people to look at celebrating others, instead of criticizing people. Thanks for listening. Hi everyone and welcome to The Magellan Network Show. It's Memorial Day weekend, which means we're entering "Period Two" here in the Magellan Network—Memorial Day to Labor Day. In this episode, I share why I love the summer and, from 30+ years of coaching advisors, why it can also be a trap without the right plan. Too often, summer turns into a blur of half-days and low productivity. But it doesn't have to be that way. I'll walk you through a few key rules and strategies to help you stay focused, energized, and ahead of the curve while still enjoying the season. I also discussed the following: (05:11) What advisors should be doing in period two (07:16) My core philosophy about retirement (10:10) Why you should never go to the office to just “hang out” (11:41) How relaxing your brain can benefit your business (17:08) How advisors can make the most of this summer The Magellan Academy & Network The rules and tools for success in the financial services industry are about to change radically. I have spent over 25 years coaching only financial advisors. In that time, I have personally conducted over 50,000 individual coaching sessions. I have built a profound knowledge base of what it takes to achieve lifelong success in business and life. In my career, I have transformed 1,000's of advisors (below are videos and written testimonials by many of them). Many of you probably paid thousands of dollars to various coaching programs with very mixed results. Most coaching programs are just that. A pre-planned process that is “cookie cutter”. Where they have salespeople having to “sell” you on their program and results. In most cases, it's about the coach, their ego, and their money. They base their program on “practice management” or “marketing”. They make you more intelligent. What they all fail to do is help you make that “mindset” shift that must happen for you to realize your dreams and vision. I am going to coach you, teach you, inspire you, and train you all on your mobile device every business day. You are going to get better at business development, practice management, personal development, and your vision. Here is what you are going to get from me each month: - A 5-10 minute morning coach video each business day. - 3 training videos of 20-30 minutes each. This will be a deep dive into the four areas I mentioned above. - A live group coaching session where you and I can interact and work together. Here is what you can do each month: - Post a question to me and I will answer it. - Collaborate and associate with like-minded advisors. - Invite other great advisors into the network. Your Bottom Line: Here is the deal. I am not going to ask you for a credit card. As I said before, coaching is personality driven. You might not like my style or tactics. So with that in mind here is my offer to you. Complete the short form below. You will receive an email with detailed instructions on how to join the network for the next 14 days. I personally approve each submission so this might take a few hours or a day at the most. I will not ask for compensation of any kind during that 14 days. If after experiencing my work for 30 days you believe that I can help you, here is the deal. To remain in Magellan Network and have access to Magellan Academy, your daily investment in yourself will only be about the price of a Latte these days. One more thing, it's a month-to-month deal. I'm not going to lock you into anything. Take action now and complete the short form below and I look forward to welcoming you personally inside the Magellan Network. ► Subscribe to our channel here: https://www.youtube.com/user/CoachJoeLukacs?sub_confirmation=1 Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/coachjoe.guru/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/coach_joe_guru/ LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/coachjoelukacs/ Website: https://www.magellannetwork.net/ Soundcloud: https://soundcloud.com/themagellannetwork Twitter: https://twitter.com/CoachJoeLukacs__
