Jerry returns for an update but first Boomer wonders where Keith McPherson has been as he saw he was at the Knicks game. Keith is on paternity leave. Mike Fliegelman is filling in for Sal all week and Boomer said nobody knows more about sports than him. Jerry starts with audio from Ian Eagle with highlights from the Knicks win over the Heat. Tom Thibodeau talked about the game down the stretch and talked about rebounding being key. The Warriors beat the Lakers to stay alive out west. Justin Verlander pitched well and the Mets beat the Reds 2-1. Buck Showalter talked about Verlander's performance and the Mets leaving a lot of guys on base. The Yankees beat the A's and Anthony Volpe hit a grand slam. In the final segment of the hour, there is a commercial that runs on CBS Sports Network for some medication that has a side effect of an inflamed taint. Al said that as a species our taints are shrinking, but actually they are getting larger. This would make for a great new version of Back To The Future. We also took calls on the Knicks win over the Heat.  Hour 2: Mitchell Robinson made some big free throws after the Heat fouled him on purpose because of how bad he normally is at the line. A caller was confused by the Josh Hart technical foul. We are going to need another38 or more from Jalen Brunson in three straight games. Jerry returns for an update and starts with the sounds of Ian Eagle from last night's Knicks win over the Heat. Mitchell Robinson talked about being sent to the foul line and knew he would be knocking them down. The Warriors beat the Lakers and LeBron talked about the injury to Anthony Davis. Shaq and Barkley were laughing at Anthony Davis leaving in a wheelchair when that was not necessary. The Mets beat the Reds 2-1 and Pete Alonso hit his league-leading 13th HR. Justin Verlander pitched 7 strong innings. Tomas Nido hit the IL for dry eye syndrome. The Yankees had no problem with the A's as Harrison Bader hit a HR which was reviewed for fan interference. The Yankees start a 4-game series with the Rays tonight. Bo Jackson has had the hiccups for 10 months, since last July. He tried everything including ‘smell the ass of a porcupine' and it didn't work.  Hour 3: Justin Verlander looked good yesterday but Gio needs to see more to make a fair judgment. The Yankees start a key series with the Tampa Rays starting tonight. We also talked about Mother's Day and what the husband's responsibility is. A caller compares Carmelo Anthony and Julius Randle. Jerry returns for an update but first we heard audio from Peter Schwartz saying his son was supposed to play in the flag football game. Peter comes into the studio to discuss this. We beat him down psychologically. In the final segment of the hour, we talked about the NFL opener, the Lions at the Chiefs. Very odd choice. And we are getting the Bills at the Jets on Monday Night, September 11th. We also talked about potential teams for Hard Knocks.   Hour 4: The NFL schedule is starting to trickle in and there are already a number of odd games. The Jets are playing the Bills on 9/11 instead of the Jets playing the Giants. The Knicks play Friday night in Miami and if they get eliminated we will be over it by Monday morning to want to talk about it. Maybe Jalen Brunson's performance last night is the turning point in this series to spark the Knicks. Boomer said Josh Hart has to be more involved and play more than nine minutes. We also talked about the 9/11 game being Bills/Jets instead of Giants/Jets. Jerry returns for an update and starts with some games the NFL has announced this morning. Jerry has audio from Ian Eagle who was on the call for the Knicks win over the Heat last night. Jalen Brunson talked about the fan support at MSG. Max Scherzer was scratched yesterday with neck spasms and then the Mets went out and lost again, this time to the Reds. The Mets did dodge a bullet not getting Carlos Correa who is currently being booed in Minnesota. The Mets starting pitchers are taking up over $114 million dollars and not pitching. Boomer said this all started with the injury to Edwin Diaz at the World Baseball Classic. Where will the Mets be at the trade deadline and will they be buyers or sellers? Right now they are looking like sellers. It's not even where the Mets are in the standings. It's who they're losing to which is discouraging. This is a sign the Knicks are going to lose tonight. Boomer thinks they will win tonight as they will be highly motivated.

Hour 2: The Knicks don't feel any closer to winning a championship. A lot of things would have to happen for the Knicks to come back in this series. Boomer said it's not over yet but Gio said they can't beat the Heat in 3 straight. Jerry returns for an update and starts with audio from last night's Knicks loss to the Heat. Erik Spoelstra said they got a lot of clean looks. The Lakers beat the Warriors and they lead that series 3-1. The Yankees beat the A's with HRs including one by Gleyber Torres. Aaron Hicks even hit one, his first of the year. Aaron Boone talked about Nestor Cortes. Bob Huggins gave an odd interview in Cincinnati where he referenced rubber penises and then used an anti gay slur, twice. In the final segment of the hour, Max Scherzer pitches again tonight and has quotes out there where he's talking about playing with an injury, which is concerning. It's been nothing but drama with Scherzer and the Mets since last September. He seems to be laying out the groundwork to land on the IL.

Hour 1: The Knicks lost to the Heat and are now down 3-1 and Gio doesn't see them coming back from that. He said Miami has made fools of the Knicks and is kicking their ass in every game they've won. Boomer said this game was over in the second quarter when it was evident the Knicks had no bench. It has been effortless for the Heat on offense and the complete opposite for the Knicks. Gio is a deflated Knicks fan and thinks they will lose in five now. Jerry is here for his first update of the day and starts with the sounds from last night's Knicks loss in Miami. We heard play by play from Ian Eagle. Julius Randle said of the Heat, ‘maybe they wanted it more'. Gio said the Knicks have only played 6 good minutes this entire series. The Lakers beat the Warriors to go up 3-1 in the series. The Yankees beat the A's and Aaron Hicks finally hit his first HR of the season. Wayne Randazzo has play by play of a couple eating cotton candy. In the final segment of the hour, it seems like the same story with the Knicks this series. A caller said the Knicks will win a championship when they get rid of Randle, Thibs and Dolan. Gio said you can tell on the faces of the Heat players and coaches that they are convinced the Knicks can't beat them.
