Hi everyone, welcome back to the pod! I am happy you are here with me and taking the time to listen to what I have to chat about, very thankful to whoever you are. In today's episode, I share an event that has impacted my "why" on the topic of this topic. Realistically life is not that short, life is pretty long. Life is what you make of it and what you choose to do with it. I am always thinking go, go, go what is next? I never really take the time to just be present with the now. Which is good, but also can take you away from the beauty that life gives you. Anyways, I hope this episode can give you some sense of where I am coming from and to slow down and follow your gut not what others think you should do. Thank you for listening, much love. xoxo, brit. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/brittney-cox/message

Hi everyone! Welcome back to the pod, in today's episode I talk about goals and whether we need them or not. hahaha, I know you probably already know the answer to that, but I explain the benefits and how we can change our mindset around goals. The word goal can be intimidating, it is a lot of pressure knowing that we need to make this happen or we feel like we failed. However, I think goals are not always going to be something we achieve, but a way of life that we can continue to grow and learn from. In my opinion, I love to have goals, but not a lot all at once...we do live once but we also have a lot of time to try things out. Anyways, I love this topic. Take a listen and let me know your thoughts. xoxo, brit. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/brittney-cox/message

Hi everyone!! Hope all has been well for you guys. I again have taken a week off from publishing due to many factors, but no excuses. In this episode, I dive into how I and we as a whole can "stop" the negative self-talk we do every day. Negative self-talk is what keeps us from achieving the dreams and goals we aspire for ourselves and our families. I go into a couple of points that have helped me get out of the negative self talks to myself and I hope that you can try these tips as well. I am not perfect, every day I try to be better than the last but sometimes it can be hard due to life. It is normal. I am here to be real and to help you know that you are not alone. Anyways, I hope you enjoy today's episode and talk to you later. xoxo, brit

Hello everyone! Hope all is well. In today's episode, I dive into to how we can find our unique motivators. I go into what motivates me/why, how routines and habits have helped sustain motivation, and how you can find what motivates you. Again, motivation is not always there, and that is where discipline comes into place. But, what helps is creating sustainable habits that then is a domino effect into being disciplined. Being disciplined helps but it's being specific in what you want to be disciplined in. Start with one thing and get good at it, it will empower you to do more and more. Like I said it is a domino effect. Anyways, I hope you enjoy today's episode!! Will talk to you guys next week. xoxo, brit

Hi everyone! So sorry for a missed pod episode last week, just needed time to myself. Anyways, in this episode, I dive into the topic of self-improvement and defining what is best for you. Social media is the first place to find "how to be better" "how to be successful" etc...which is all great, it can be super motivating to get us back in a grove. BUT this is where we fall into a trap. Self-improvement is about growth and using what we have and forming it to be better day by day. We think we need to "fix" ourselves with self-improvement, and we fall into the dark side of not feeling enough. We also tend to use external forces to give us a sense of accomplishment in hitting our "goals". I could go on, but if you are interested take a listen and let me know your thoughts! xoxo brit

So in today's episode, I approach the conversation on what is holding me back instead of what is holding people back. I don't know what holds you back, but I do know what holds me back. I feel as if it is fair to share my story so that you can relate or feel not alone in a sense. The journey of your 20s is honestly the best time (in my opinion). We are still young, we don't need an answer, and we can try many things. But that doesn't mean the rest of life we need to have it all figured out, I think that the beauty of life is not knowing. Why do we need habits?

Play Episode Listen Later Jan 21, 2024 28:18

Hi all :) in todays episode I talk about habits. Growing up for me I was told broadly why maintaining habits were good, but never fully explained. You may be like Brittney we know why habits are good, and that is ok haha. I am here to talk to those who are like me and never understood the full meaning of why. Habits are automatic behavior we do and keep since childhood. Of course they change as we grow because were introduced to new things ex: drugs, drinking, etc. I think we all know good vs bad. But the question is how do we maintain to keep a good habit? My understanding for myself is to create a process for yourself. When you write down goals underneath each goal write how step by step on how you will get there. This allows you to understand that its not just something that will magically happen, it is a process. Ok, I can go on and on. I hope you enjoys todays episode and let me know what new or current habits you want to add or change! xoxo, brit

Hi everyone :) In todays episode I talk about motivation. I have been thinking a lot lately where does motivation come from and how do we sustain that feeling throughout life. I am a big reader and listener on motivational books, Ted Talks, and podcast. But they all seem to say the same thing over, and over. Which is creating habits. But habits that correlate with your goal that makes you motivated to continue your goal. Motivation is not always there, life is an up and down hill that we have to figure out. However, I do believe that knowing your why/purpose gives you much more meaning to your life. Creating simple habits to make you feel good. My goal here is to hopefully inspire you and help create a better lifestyle for you. Were all in this together. Hope you enjoy todays episode! xoxo brit

Good morning everyone, currently 4:24 am. Welcome back to the pod! In today's episode, I was very inspired by another podcast by Katy Austin talking about how to boost your confidence. Confidence can come naturally for some, yet for many, it is a daily practice to feel good about yourself. I talk about three different categories comparing, self-care, and affirmations, and explaining why and how it has helped me in my journey of being better. Confidence is hard, I won't lie. We go through a lot that can bring us down/ make us not feel good. However, we can always pick ourselves up out of that rut. Out of the three categories I talk about it affirmations have made a huge change in my life. Basically "hyping" myself up. If you don't have time to listen, I will share this with you. When you feel overwhelmed or out of place repeat this "I am stronger than my thoughts". Anyways, I hope you have a good day!! xoxo brit

Don't get me wrong we (or I) love to make others happy, but we don't always have to. Right now I am learning to live my life in a way that makes me happy, not everyone else around me. It can be scary, it can be risky. Who wants to hurt someone or not be how they think you should be? What do I mean by that? Whenever you are like "Yeah I am going to work out 4x a week" or "I am going to start reading this book " and it comes to it and you make an excuse of why you "can't"...and you get annoyed at yourself because you were motivated at the beginning of the week to do it. I hope you can relate to this. But I really go into committing to committing and following what you want to do. When you do follow what you want to do it feels so good and for me, it's at that moment where it turns into a routine and not an "Ugh gotta do this". As you know, it has been a while since I last uploaded an episode. I know, it is really not normal for me to do this, or even allow it, but to be 100% honest it's been pretty tough. Now going back to solo pods and getting back to how we started. It is a mix of emotions to even say the least. Aria and I had to take a step back and really focus on ourselves and step away from doing the pod together. As much as we loved doing it, it also caused a lot of stress. We have different avenues that we want to focus on and overall different times of the day we work. Which is all okay. Everything happens for a reason and it can only be good. But in the past months I have really needed to give myself time to myself to regain the energy to want to do what I love, I felt that I was really forcing myself and not liking the outcome. When it comes to being creative (for me) I have to be in a good head space and overall have a brighter look on life. I guess that goes for everyone haha. So many opinions on "you just need to be disciplined" While yes I agree to an extent, I also say that your mental health is a lot more important than being harder on yourself and not getting the results you want. Anyways, this episode is really a huge catch-up and where I am at. I have some interesting topics coming soon so stay tuned!! xoxo, brit

I still try to work on the podcast, I worry, I compare my work, and overall just cause anxiety while trying to take a break. This time around I just told myself to not think about it and allow it to come organically. I put a lot of pressure on myself with my podcast because I truly want to grow and make it into something magical. So the dream I have pushes me as it should, but I have also been too hard on myself. All I know is to work, it is a mindset that I have received from everyday life, society, and social media. We see people being successful and starting businesses, working out, buying a home, quitting their jobs, traveling, etc and we start to compare our life to theirs. I struggle with it and I know you do too. This topic is so important to me because it will drain us, and stop us from achieving our dreams. The less we care the more we can do in life. I don't mean stop caring about your goals and dreams. What I mean is to stop caring about other people's success, and what others think or what they are doing. One thing I am trying to learn and research is how can we do that in the time we are in. As easy as it is to say to do it seems impossible. One of the reasons I took a break. I have a lot more inspiration and motivation towards the pod, and not looking at it as a "job". Anyways, I could write a novel on this topic, take a listen and enjoy!! xoxo brit & aria

Good morning everyone :) we are a little late to be uploading but it is here!! In today's episode, we talk about perspective and mindfulness. Aria and I had a deep conversation maybe about a week ago due to me feeling low and discouraged. One word that stuck with me he talked about is perspective. A lot of the time when we are feeling low and overwhelmed we forget about every good thing. We only focus on what is bad. In my situation, I was feeling low about what I was doing (career-wise)...Aria reminded me of all the good and how lucky we are to be where we are at. At that point, I started to cry because I realized how much this isn't me. But, also it's okay to feel those emotions. It takes a low point to realize how lucky we actually are. Anyways, mindfulness is a great way to stop those running thoughts...it could be anything that brings you peace. Walking, watching tv, cleaning, calling someone, writing stuff down, planning...really anything that makes you feel good. Lastly, we all feel the same emotions but in different ways. Never feel like you are all alone, once you express how you feel the other person more than likely has felt the same way. Anyways, I hope you enjoy today's episode and have a lovely week. xoxo brit & aria

It has been a lot of different emotions this week personally, it was a week of blah feeling...if you can relate to "blah" haha. But here to say that no matter what, it will always be okay. Something I am working on this 2023 year is to allow myself to feel emotions...good, bad, ugly. I am really good at suppressing a lot. However, in this episode aria and I talk about a books we are reading "7 steps of manifesting" & "Breaking the habit of being yourself". Both of these books talk about of course manifesting but also believing in yourself. Taking steps that feel vulnerable and uncomfortable. Like I always say....If you want to hear more take a listen to this weeks pod :) we love you guys! xoxo brit & aria

We open up about how we manage feelings and learning to express them no matter what. We human, feelings are meant to be felt. Xoxo brit & aria

Happy New Years everyone!!! It has been a crazy year, I feel like everyone says that...but honestly thats life. I just want to thank everyone who takes the time to listen to us, and to my OG listeners thank you for never giving up on me even when my mic was trash. All I have to say is start your passion now. I love to talk as you can see...so I started a podcast :) I will say it is challenging, for a long time I was having 0 downloads and I was like man im the only one who enjoys this haha. However, when I saw my first download I was like "im famous". That first download made me keep going and I am glad I didn't give up. There were times in the past year where I was being really ugly to myself, and my mind kept telling myself  "you need to stop" "no one cares" all the negative self talk. 2023 lets try to stop the negative self talk okay? All we can do is try. Anyways, I recently took a break off recording...my mind was not is the best place. But we are back!! This episode is called "lets get this bread" I came up with it on the spot....I thought it was a good first pod to 2023 :) Hope you enjoy this episode and thank you for supporting hello, its time to be you

Hi everyone!! Hope everyone has had a great week, and of course a great week ahead! In todays episode we talk about a bunch of random stuff of course, but we also talk about what stops us from achieving our dream. I know for me it is fear, fear of faiure, fear of judgement...im not going to lie and say im perfect and don't have fears. It is scary putting yourself out there and doing something different than all your peers do. However, when you just do it the feeling is unmatched and your world changes in ways that you never imgained. I get it takes work to achieve big things, but take it one day at a time. Start small, like making your bed or implementing a skin car routine..literally anything that makes you feel good. What I have learned so far in my life...I have to make myself happy before I can have the drive to do more. If im not happy then why would I wanna do this or that? How you feel affects almost every aspect of your life. Anyways, take a listen to todays episode and don't forget to have an amazing day and chanllenge yourself to do something new! xoxo brit & aria

Welcome back to helllloo its time to be you! This has no specific title here, and I kinda like the way it turned out. Lately I have been stressing over the topic for no reason...I want it to be perfect, but when you want something to be perfrect it almost never is perfect. That is one thing I am trying to work on lately with my life. However, in this episode we talk about a couple different topics. I had a lot of fun and we hope you enjoy this episode. We are striving to create intresting topics for you to listen to, but sometimes its a lot more fun when they are random. Anyways, I hope you enjoy and don't forget to be you xoxo brit & aria

we need to stop limiting ourselves

hi there, it's aria and brit :) in today's episode, we talk about why we shouldn't limit ourselves although it is very scary and easy to sike ourselves out. I do it myself, too much...lack of confidence one would say. We have endless opportunities that we don't even know about, all it takes is that one little step, and boom doors open. What does it take? How? When? there are so many questions that lead us to not even try. We can justify a lot of why we shouldn't, I do it. It is mind over matter, training your brain to know you got this instead of feeling insecure. I hope today's episode inspires you to chase after what you want and live your dream!! enjoy xoxo brit and aria

Hi everyone! it's brit & aria xoxo - I first wanted to say this episode is going to be different than any other episode I have done so far. Our conversations have always been organic..however, I wanted our approach to the conversation to be a conversation with each other. Not sure if that makes any sense, but I hope you listen and enjoy! In today's episode, we talk broadly on the topic "is your environment important". We both come from different backgrounds and explain how they made us in that phase of life and how we are now. Your environment can mean a lot of aspects. As in your home, work, friends, car, etc. For me, my home needs to be clean and organized for me to be able to focus, and luckily aria is the same :) Your environment can affect you dramatically without you even knowing it. Always be aware of what is around you and how they make you feel

Welcome back, everyone!! thank you for tuning into hello, it's time to be you xoxo. In today's episode, I decided to combine both 5 & 6 because in the last episode we talked about goal setting and setting your goals....so I did not want to repeat that haha. Anyways in this last episode of this small series (6 successful habits), we talk about taking action and just doing it. As much as we love to talk about dreams and what we would love to do (yes I do fall into this trap) it is time to take action and CHASE your dreams. Both Aria and I open up about what gets us going and why we do what we do. For me personally, it is this anxiety (not bad) but more so it pushes me to keep going. Aria tells me that my anxiety is my superpower, and while yes it pushes me it can also stress me out sometimes. It is all about finding "balance". Anyways like always I can go on and on about this. Take a listen to hear more!! I love you guys so much xoxo brit & aria

Good Morning everyone xoxo! Today's episode is very special to me. One I open up about what has been going on personally mentally, and emotionally. I share because I want you to know that we all go through something, and were in this together. As much as we can feel alone we are not alone!! In this episode of 6 successful habits, we talk about searching your soul. Why? because without knowing our purpose and what truly brings us happiness we live every day lost (at least for me). I am a huge believer in knowing one's self and figuring out what you like vs don't. Now how do we find our soul's purpose? We try things that as a kid made us happy or something we love to do that makes us fulfilled. Anyways, I can talk about this forever. Take a listen to this episode for more!! xoxo brit & aria

6 successful habits #2: Fighting Discouragement

Play Episode Listen Later Oct 16, 2022 20:05

Hi everyone, it's Aria and Brittney :) in today's episode, we talk about fighting discouragement. This is something that I have been working on myself for the past couple of months in my life. I have been down about a couple of things in my life due to putting high expectations on myself. You know those demons inside saying you can't, you're not worth it, don't do it, you will fail, people will hate you...the list can go on. Guys, these thoughts are normal. I think we all do this to ourselves. But what I have noticed within successful people is that they don't allow it to take over. They fight it and move forward, and so can we. Anyways, take a listen to this if you are interested :) I am so excited about this short little series!! xoxo brit & aria
