I was scrolling the No BS Private Facebook group and saw a post that said, "I had a binge today." Immediately I read it...word for word. Knowing overeating and binge eating are such shameful experiences for people, I wanted to get in and help. The post was filled with what all of us think at times... "Why did I do this when I know I want to lose weight?" "I was doing so good, and out of nowhere, I'm eating all day." "The scale is fucking with me, and I don't know if I can handle it." Whether you overeat or binge eat, you probably often feel confused, frustrated, or defeated afterward. That's normal. But, there's hope. You can also feel determined, refocused, and understanding too. And in today's podcast, I'm helping you with the "Duality of Emotion." The Duality of Emotion is where you teach yourself to feel both sides of your story...instead of just one big, shameful ass version. I take you step-by-step through the "I had a binge" post and share with you EXACTLY how I helped my No BS Member. So, if you've ever binged or ate your face off wondering, "why the fuck do I do this..." This is the podcast for you. Listen to Episode 279: Getting on track after a Binge or Overeat today! When elite triathlete Justus Nieschlag suffered a partial rupture of his Achilles tendon, it couldn't have come at a worse time. The Tokyo Olympics in 2021, delayed by a year because of the Coronavirus pandemic, were just around the corner and the then 29-year-old was in pain. "Knowing I couldn't perform as I would like and I couldn't train and race 100 per cent meant it was a really tough time for me," he tells Stefan Gates in this episode of the Food Matters Live Podcast, made in partnership with GELITA. "You prepare for four years then it's like this. It was super hard and it was not a good time for me." Justus did compete at the Games, representing Germany in the Triathlon. Despite carrying the Achilles injury, he helped the team to an impressive sixth-placed finish in the team relay. But after the Games came the prospect of a long period of rehabilitation.  Profile: Justus Nieschlag Age: 30 Nationality: German Discipline: Triathlon Honours:  Germany's middle-distance IRONMAN 70.3 Kraichgau record holder Five Arena Games podium finishes Represented Germany at the 2020 Summer Olympic Games, Tokyo Justus was told he had to stop running for three months. For context, he would usually have a two-week break at the end of the season, before returning to the track. The prospect of a complete break from running for at least 12 weeks was not a welcome one. Up until he suffered the partial rupture of his Achilles tendon, Justus admits that nutrition was "never a big part" of his thinking. That changed when his management team recommended he start working with GELITA and, in particular, their bioactive collagen peptide supplement. TENDOFORTE is designed to increase the health and quality of ligaments and tendons, which are made of collagen, decreasing the risk of injury and improving flexibility. Pre-clinical and clinical trials have shown the positive effects of TENDOFORTE. Bioactive Collagen Peptides at a Glance Bioactive collagen peptides are protein fragments with health-promoting properties GELITA Bioactive Collagen Peptides are optimized for specific physiological benefits They maximize stimulation of the human cell types involved in collagen biosynthesis GELITA applies a proprietary, carefully controlled process to obtain the beneficial peptides About 30 per cent of our total body protein is collagen. It is the primary structural protein of connective tissues. Collagen is crucial for mobile joints, stable bones, healthy muscles, strong tendons and ligaments. Suzane Leser, Nutritionist and Director of Nutrition Communication at GELITA, says strong tendons and ligaments contribute to the foundation of high physical performance and fast return-to-training in athletes.  But it's not only elite sports people who need to be thinking about protecting their bodies in this way. "We lose collagen at a rate of one or two per cent per year from around the age of 25," says Suzane. “We can slow down our collagen decline with this bioactive effect." Listen to the full episode to find out how quickly Justus recovered whilst using TENDOFORTE, how he thinks it helped in his rehabilitation, and learn more about the science behind the supplement. Download GELITA's White Tissue Guide Justus Nieschlag, Professional triathlete, member of the German National Team Justus is the current champion and new record holder of Germany's middle-distance IRONMAN 70.3 Kraichgau. He is also set to become the most successful triathlete of all time in the Arena Games, having achieved five podium finishes since the inaugural event in Rotterdam 2020. This year, the Arena Games was the first eSport World Championship, with Justus finishing in second place. Alongside his ever-growing triathlon career, Justus is a licensed triathlon coach, with a BA in Sports Science, currently working hard also towards a Masters in Sports Science. Suzane Leser, Nutritionist and Director of Nutrition Communication at GELITA Suzane is a sports nutritionist who built a career in the food industry dedicated to turning nutrition research into products that can make a real difference to the performance of athletes. What does health and wellness look like if you're trying to just get your body moving again after a long period of being sedentary? Many of us post COVID-19 vaccination are grappling with the cost of life-saving inactivity? Well, we're fortunate to have Lisa Tamati back, our Maori ultramarathoner extraordinaire. You don't have to run the equivalent of the circumference of the Earth more than once through over 140 ultramarathons like she has to understand that human fight between wanting to give up and practicing a small victory of resilience. Today Lisa discusses protecting your mindset while recounting a mountain pass marathon that awed me. If you haven't checked out her book Relentless yet, you can find it on her website at lisatamati.com. She also has a great podcast out, Pushing The Limits, where you can listen to experts discuss tips and strategies from elite performers to you. Remember to resource yourself for this conversation. Pandemics, depression, and sedentary lifestyles are intermingled for a lot of us right now. It may seem insurmountable to start back into caring for your body, but I promise you it's very possible. Little victories, friends. I feel like a long time ago, Lisa made the world decide to either get on board with her vision of herself or to get out of her way; but that kind of victory doesn't happen overnight. I encourage you to frame it more as “if Lisa can make it through that mountain pass, I can get 5000 steps today,” even if it feels impossible. No matter how you use the content, I'm proud to present Lisa Tamati, here on Intimate Interactions. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/intimate-interactions/message

From the last episode – as you know, the beliefs you have about your business and the beliefs about what you believe is possible for you – is exactly what you are creating right now, right? If you haven't listened to the last episode, start there. This one builds on it. In this episode, the purpose is to help you get back on track with anything in life and business. So, if you are someone who believes you can't be consistent with ADHD – how does this impact the way you show up? I had to release myself from being so hard on myself, allow myself to be a human. And now, I am becoming more consistent and committed. You might be feeling a lot of pressure to “stay consistent” in your business. And, while you definitely need a level of consistency – people use it as some kind of process or reasons to beat themselves up.    What you'll discover in today's episode: You can make consistency mean anything you want it to mean How you can redefine consistency as resiliency How to have a better relationship with yourself and your brain And, how to have higher self esteem and ultimately show up as a better business owner Right now if you are beating yourself up because you aren't being perfect. You are making consistency mean “perfect. But you are a human, you are flawed, you can't be perfect. What you can do is just pick yourself up where you left off. Here are the journal prompts I highly recommend. JOURNAL: How can you release yourself from the social stories about ADHD? How can you decide for yourself how you want to show up in the world? How do you know you aren't consistent? Are you inconsistent at everything? Or just some things?  What if you create the belief that you ARE consistent, how would things shift for you? What is possible if you believe you are consistent?   I love connecting with you on IG - please share your learnings with me or tag me in your stories! @annmarie.espina    Work w/ me: Apply to ADHD Business University here Apply to the 1:1 private coaching - Accomplished Mind Method click here   Here is where you can buy my favorite planner! My son is learning to drive. It has been a slow and anxiety provoking process! Two weeks ago was a crazy ride. I let him drive to school and on that one trip he almost plowed the side of the house backing out of our driveway and then nearly backed into the garbage truck on the street.  As we were going along he failed to see the fire truck right behind us until it was blaring its horn at us and so in a frantic knee-jerk response he swerved to get out of the way, almost side-swiping 3 cars. To top it off he turned left into a line of oncoming cars almost getting me t-boned on the way--this was all within a 15-minute drive. He knew that was a bad trip. He got out of the car when we got to school and I --shaking like a leaf--hugged him goodbye for the day. He said, "Mom, I am sorry maybe I shouldn't drive anymore." And I said "No, you have to drive, that is the only way you are going to get better. You probably learned more today on our trip here than you will learn in school--don't quit, just learn the lessons you need to from what doesn't work and move on." Yesterday he drove us again to school--he backed up like a pro and the whole drive was so in control I even had time to look at my phone for a few moments. He was so pumped and I was so happy for him--he has mastered a new level of competency--how? By making mistakes and getting right back on track. Being consistent with weight release isn't about being perfect--it's a set of skills that we build and it's who we become over time. One of the most important skills for consistent weight release is the skill of getting back on track after going off track. So many people do not do this--they get caught up in being perfect and starting over. Did you do this when you learned to drive--no! You kept going...and learning and mastering driving. So, in episode 61 of our Thin Thinking Podcast, we will dive in and explore one of the most critical mental muscles in our weight mastery journey - working out for consistency and getting back on track the moment you get off. This 5-step process will help us to easily move back to our journey not feeling like a loser but still keeping motivated and self-loving to a successful weight mastery journey.   In This Episode, You'll Also Learn… How using a different vocabulary in dealing and with getting off track will help us refocus to what is really important and to what needs to be done The importance of knowing and being mindful of our personal indicators when we get on track or off track and getting responsible for our own journey Rita's effective S.H.I.F.T. steps to get back on track   Links Mentioned in the Episode: Sign up for my FREE video series: "The 3 Mental Shifts to End the Weight Struggle Once and for All" Sign up for the FREE HYPNOSIS DOWNLOAD : Shift Out of Sugar Cravings My book, From Fat to Thin Thinking: Unlock Your Mind for Permanent Weight Loss (Includes a 30-day hypnosis process.)  “Stop hoping, stop wishing. Start doing action! — That's the main key.” -Master Jeff    Did you know that there is an art to getting back on track? Sounds funny but it is true!    Sometimes we feel like life is just one huge roller coaster and there's no off-ramp.  We start to find ourselves on a different path than the one  we were originally following by choice. These times can feel like they just last forever and seem insurmountable. It's easy to feel discouraged, doubtful, and consumed by these feelings. But the truth is, nobody stays on top forever. That's unrealistic. Life moves up and down and in all directions, so it's impossible to stay in one place. However, there are those who get back on the horse fast. But while life may be a roller coaster at times, you're fully in control of whether you choose to get off at any given stop. In this episode, Daniel is joined by Jafar Jafari aka “Master Jeff”, an educator and entrepreneur. Daniel and Master Jeff discuss how we can get in “the zone” of our full potential and move to a higher level while overcoming fear, failure, and adversities along the way. They also share the most important things we need to succeed in our journey and how to use them so we can advance ourselves, namely: imagination, mindset, and action.   There's almost nothing more important than momentum. And it doesn't just mean getting some initial traction, but keeping it going. Tune in and learn the art of getting back on track fast!
