I've talked with many people who start implementing the practices we discuss here or in their own lives. They do the right things—going to the gym, eating healthy, volunteering—but don't feel different, or their life doesn't change as expected. Why does this happen? It's a powerful perspective that everything is connected. We often see ourselves as separate from the things around us—friends, family, objects. But what if everything you perceive is part of you? This shift in thinking can transform how you operate. Consider this: if you aim to be a 100-point being—loving, wealthy, expansive—everything you focus on daily should align with that vision. It's not about adding up points but about fully perceiving and living that frequency. You can't reach 100 by mixing in elements of an 80 frequency. Imagine wanting to expand your wealth. You read, study, and start a side business, but still spend time with people from your old energy. Their frequency might be at an 80, which hinders you from reaching 100. The key is to align your perception with what you want to become. Creating your future vision involves understanding the frequency of your desired self. This new life will cost you your old one because the new frequency requires a different perception. You can't hold onto the old while striving for the new. The best thing you can do today is to envision your perfect day five years from now. From waking up to going to bed, what does that day look like? Be realistic about what that version of you focuses on daily. Look up real people who have achieved what you aspire to and understand their daily habits and perceptions. In today's episode, we'll explore how to become the person you want to be, even when your environment isn't supportive. Changing who you are while surrounded by negativity is tough. I know firsthand how hard it is to implement changes when everything around you contradicts your new goals. When you decide who you want to be—whether it's financially, mentally, or spiritually—you start doing the work. You create boundaries, change your thinking, and focus on positive thoughts. But what if you're still in the old environment? Maybe you're young and live with your family, or you're in a relationship where your partner isn't changing. It could be school or work. No matter the situation, there's no right or wrong way to apply these changes. The timeline is up to you. When you envision your future self—successful, confident, positive—you have to start living that way now. Future you wouldn't tolerate what current you does. This doesn't mean making drastic changes overnight, but it does mean setting a plan in motion. You must align your actions with the version of you that you want to become. For example, if you want to be wealthy and positive, you can't continue to tolerate negativity around you. Successful people often attribute their success to what they don't do, like not surrounding themselves with negative influences. Your frequency is what you frequently see. If you tolerate negative environments, you're still part of that frequency. Even if you look successful on the outside, if you tolerate negativity, you're still that lower frequency. It's about removing things that don't align with your future self. Sometimes the hardest part is realizing you're still tolerating things that hold you back. But when you cut those things out, you're telling the universe you're serious about your transformation. It's not easy, but it's necessary for growth. When you start becoming your higher self, you'll still encounter challenges. These are gifts that show you what you're truly made of. The resistance you're facing now is part of your journey. It's happening for you, not to you. Remember, this journey is about doing your best. There's no comparison to others. The energy and truth are what they are. Focus on your path and what you can achieve. The journey isn't over, and there are always new challenges. But understanding patterns and frequencies helps you see why you need to make changes. It's not about judging others; it's about recognizing patterns and how they affect your life. Negative influences can't coexist with your higher self. You must move away from them, mentally, physically, or spiritually. You can't maintain positivity while surrounded by negativity. External success doesn't bring lasting fulfillment; it's our internal state that shapes our experience of life. Many people achieve external success but still feel empty because inner peace and happiness don't come from outside accomplishments. They come from within. Your world reflects your internal state, not the other way around. A simple practice to align with your desired state is using "I am" statements. For example, saying, "I am healthy" and making choices that align with that statement helps you become that version of yourself. This practice can be applied to any goal, whether it's health, wealth, or personal growth. There's a deeper level to this practice: your name. When you say your name, it carries meaning. Think about famous individuals like Muhammad Ali or Michael Jordan. Their names embody their achievements and qualities. Similarly, your name can represent your highest potential. To become your best self, align your actions, thoughts, and beliefs with your desired identity. Break down what your name represents and strive to embody those qualities. This practice helps you create a powerful, positive identity. As you act in alignment with your desired state, your perception of the world changes. Your name gains meaning and power, influencing how others perceive you as well. Famous names carry value because they represent certain qualities and achievements. Imagine yourself in the future, having achieved all your goals. How does that version of you think, act, and feel? Bring that vision into the present and live in alignment with it. Your internal state becomes your guiding light, leading you to fulfillment. External things like money or status don't bring true happiness. Fulfillment comes from within. Carolyn discusses her experiences with anxiety and depression, which began in her childhood and continued into her college years. A life-threatening car accident during her senior year of college inspired her to write “Unbreakable” and use her voice to share her story. She also talks about her non-verbal learning disability, which she discovered in high school. This learning disability, characterized by high verbal skills but struggles with some conceptual skills, contributed to her mental health challenges. However, Carolyn eventually saw this as a strength, as it made her more creative and helped her write her book. As a public speaker, Carolyn finds it rewarding to share her story with kids, instilling hope and resilience in them. She emphasizes the importance of having a support system and open communication in managing mental health. She also shares her coping strategies, which include writing down her feelings and staying active. Carolyn encourages those struggling with similar issues to acknowledge their need for help and to be open and honest in therapy. She stresses the importance of knowing that they are not alone and that many people are struggling with similar issues. Carolyn plans to continue her advocacy for mental health and suicide prevention by speaking and getting involved in more mental health organizations. She believes that it's crucial to have open conversations about mental health to reduce stigma and build more connections. In her final message, Carolyn encourages listeners to learn how to let go, despite how difficult it may be.
