Audio Only. ‘Love one another as I have loved you.’ This not only summarises the gospel, it also summarises the meaning of human sexuality: for the call to love as Christ loves is inscribed by God right in our bodies as male and female. Join Christopher West, as he looks beyond mere prohibitions to the overall biblical vision of sexuality that provides the truth that sets us free to love in God’s image.
Audio Only. ‘God sets the lonely in families, he leads out the prisoners with singing.’ (Psalm 68:6) God invites us all to come home into the loving, hospitable relationship between Father, Son and Spirit. Because we have been welcomed into God’s hospitality, we are asked to also invite the strangers in our midst into that same welcome. Whether in our family, church-family or wider communities, how do we extend this invitation to the vulnerable and marginalised? How can this be sustainable and wise while reflecting the profligate generosity of God? Come and hear from a panel with experience of hospitality within a variety of contexts.  ‘I was a stranger, and you invited me in.’ (Matthew 25:35)
Audio Only. Releasing and multiplying young leaders is a hallmark of growing churches and organisations. Packed with vision, challenge and inspiration, this session will practically equip you to move beyond tokenistic gestures and engage in the dangers and delights of raising up young leaders in your context.
Audio Only. People in the church can be suspicious of the term ‘leadership’ because it sounds secular and modern. However, deep in Christian tradition, monastic wisdom has honed principles of leadership based on the teaching of the gospel for more than fifteen centuries. These principles are enshrined in the Rule written by St Benedict for monks and nuns in the 6th century. Fr Luigi Gioia will introduce these principles, applying them to the life of our communities today and looking at how they aid evangelisation.Â
Audio Only. Church planting is increasingly being seen as a key to church growth in the UK. The recent report ‘Church Growth in Britain: 1980 to the Present’, edited by David Goodhew, recommends that every Anglican diocese should have a church-planting strategy. In the United States, church planting has already been acknowledged as the most effective method of seeing the church across the nation grow.
Audio Only. Pat will describe the three most unique and challenging pitfalls that prevent churches from achieving organisational health. He will draw upon his experience of working with church leaders at all levels, and present specific advice for mitigating the painful and unnecessary politics that prevents well-intentioned people from bringing others to God.
Audio Only. Tim is a successful businessman and corporate strategist who will be sharing his research from the Sydney Diocese on what drives church growth. Tim has spent significant time seeking to understand the important contributing factors behind church growth. This seminar will equip you with ways that you can drive growth in your own churches and others.
Audio Only. There is an urgent need to train and release worship leaders, musicians and songwriters in the local church. With a look at the new Worship Central Course – an exciting resource that is being used all over the world – Tim will unpack how we can cultivate communities of worship and build effective teams that will lead with great humility and skill.
More than winning people into the kingdom, the church is here to touch and transform communities and the city. Besides faith, vision, character and courage, which would be vital in this venture, we will explore some leadership principles and the biblical paradigm for community transformation that will help us anchor such an adventure of faith.
Audio Only. From beginning to end, the Bible tells the story of marriage. It begins with the marriage of man and woman and it ends with a vision of the ‘Marriage of the Lamb’, the eternal embrace of Christ and the church. Christopher West presents this astounding vision of heaven as the ultimate fulfillment of the deepest and most ‘wild’ yearnings of our heart for sexual love and union.

Three unique voices bring a fresh perspective on how music, media and fashion can change the world. Simon Ward is the Chief Operating Officer of the British Fashion Council, Fi Costa works looking at the effects of music on wellbeing, and Ruth Awogbade is the founder of Magnify, a creative lifestyle magazine aimed at empowering women.
Audio Only. The tension, conflict, and difficulty in the sexual relationship seem ‘normal’ today. Jesus, however, challenges us to recognise that ‘it was not this way in the beginning’ (Matthew 19:8). In the beginning, man and woman experienced the free-flow of God’s ‘wine’ (divine love) between them. The tragedy of the original sin is that we have all ‘run out of wine’. But the good news of the gospel is that Christ came to restore God’s wine to the sexual relationship in superabundance. Christopher West presents this hopeful, liberating, and redeeming vision of life, love, marriage, and sexuality.
Audio Only. ‘And what does the Lord require of you, but to do justice, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?’ (Micah 6:8) Our God is a God of justice, restoration and freedom. How do we rethink our view of justice in light of the picture of justice and mercy God has shown us? How does this affect our view of the criminal justice system and those caught up in it? What impact does this have on our church communities and how can our church communities impact the justice systems in our countries? Come and hear from panels with a range of experiences of justice, from the UK and internationally. ‘The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners’ (Isaiah 61:1)
Audio Only. When a crisis strikes, many of us rely on relatives and friends for support. However, some parents have no one to assist them through both the crisis and caring for their child. This type of social isolation combined with stress can increase the likelihood of child neglect, and some children become looked after by the local authority.
Audio Only. Ken Costa, leading banker and author of God at Work, looks at what God thinks of our workplaces.
Audio Studio. In this session Fr James will give practical advice on how to integrate Alpha into the parish: How does Alpha fit into the overall vision for the parish? What about follow up? How does Alpha lead into small groups and catechesis? How do we create a framework to support the growth within the parish? This session is essential for those seeking to maximise the impact of Alpha in their Catholic parish.
Audio Only. So much of life rises and falls on good leadership. This session will be unpacking the principles behind the new HTB Leadership College, looking at how to lead self, lead others and lead leaders.
Audio Only. Every church leader really wants to grow disciples. We'll share how HTB does discipleship after Alpha and outside Sunday services, how the different activities fit together and how that has driven church growth. We'll be honest about the progress we've seen and the challenges we're facing.
Audio Only. Uncertainty is always part of the leadership landscape and underscores the need for good leadership. This seminar will explore how to give clear leadership when you’re encountering relentless uncertainties or unresolved tensions in leadership.
The most powerful thing any leader can gain from this conference is not technical, but spiritual; that you would return home newly equipped and energised to walk closely with God. Of course, we know that prayer was the key to Christ's ministry and that it has been the heartbeat of Christian leadership, in every sphere of society, ever since. But we also know that prayer can be bewildering, boring and hard. In this session, Pete Greig will talk honestly and humorously about his own discoveries, sharing hard-won insights to help you grow your own personal prayer life as well as the corporate prayer life of your church.
Audio Only. Patrick Lencioni will deviate from his regular slate of topics related to organisational leadership and management and discuss the importance of becoming a cultural leader – something in greater need than ever in a world that is losing its sense of truth, grace and love.
Audio Only. The sexual revolution presented an enormous challenge to the church.  How are we to respond? Christians across denominational lines are discovering the answer in the late John Paul II’s Theology of the Body. This bold, biblical response to the sexual chaos of today’s world is transforming lives, healing relationships, and saving marriages around the globe. Join Christopher West, the world’s most widely recognized teacher of the Theology of the Body, as he unfolds this life-changing vision of human life, love, and sexuality in a way that Christians of any background can understand and embrace.

Fresh from the Synod on the New Evangelisation, Marc will show how Alpha is bringing about pastoral and personal conversion, leading to church growth and playing an essential role in developing lay leadership within the parish. This session will be particularly relevant for Catholics who are new to Alpha, and those who want to be refreshed in their vision for evangelisation through the local parish.Â
Audio Only. Alpha started as an idea: to make it easy to share your faith. Today over 20 million people have heard about Jesus through Alpha. In 10 years time this could be 100 million. What happens next is up to you.
