I welcome you to a new and glorious week friends. We thank the Lord, for thus far He has brought in our journey of 2022. To Him alone be all the glory. Our God is a God of covenant. And that's why our relationship with Him is covenant-based. In every covenant, there are two components - the instructions, and the promised blessings. It is in the fulfillment of the instructions, that the blessings are released. In Psalm 41:1-3 (NIV), God gives an instruction, and also, reveals the promised blessings. You'll be praying amiss if you begin to receive the blessings by thunder, and fire if you don't carry out the instruction. That scripture brings before us a kingdom principle that, "You will reap exactly what you plant". As we cannot escape from our shadows, so we cannot escape the seeds that we plant, especially when they are evil seeds. Our words, thoughts, and our actions are seeds we plant. The Way That Seems Right And The Right Way

Dear friends, I welcome you to the last week in the month of July. Our God alone be praised - Hallelujah! In this week's episode of the podcast, I share on The Way That Seems Right And The Right Way. At strategic moments, times or seasons in our lives - when we're trusting God for one breakthrough, or the other, the devil hastily shows up to present us with the "way that seems right". It's not the right way - it only appears to be right. The devil has his fingerprints all over it - he's waiting and salivating to prey on his victims. That would not be you and I in the name of Jesus. Listen, and be blessed. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/rccg-coryonkers/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/rccg-coryonkers/support

Not Under Authority? You Can't Exercise Authority.

Welcome to the dawn of a new week friends. In this week's podcast, I share briefly from the book of James 4:17. It reads, "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee". The Kingdom of our God operates on principles - I'm sure you understand that. If we don't submit to God's authority, we can't exercise His authority. The language the devil understands is that of AUTHORITY. He knows our spiritual status - see Acts 19:11-20. With God's authority, we can resist or counter the devil, and run him out of town. But submission to God's authority according to the scripture, is key to making that happen. Welcome to the month of July - the month of perfection. And I pray that, that good thing God started in your life a year ago, a month ago, or even a week ago shall be perfected by His mighty hands in the name of Jesus. In this week's episode of the podcast, I continue on Approaching The Throne of Grace. I share a story in the book of Esther 5:1-4. Esther being a queen cannot approach the throne of the king without the king first stretching forth the scepter to her. If she does, she will die. But this is unlike our King, it is unlike our God. The scepter of our King is that of righteousness, but guess what? It is already stretched out to whosoever wants to approach His throne. We can approach His throne as often as we want. Hence, the bible says to "...approach God's throne of Grace with confidence..." (Hebrews 4:16). Glory be God. Hallelujah! I welcome you all to the last week in the month of June 2021. It is my prayer that the Almighty God will bear you and I, and every member of our families up on the wings of Mercy and Grace, and carry us to the last day of the month in Jesus name. Amen! In this week's episode of the podcast, I share briefly on "Approaching The Throne of Grace" from the book of Hebrew 4:14-16 (NIV). The bible says in verse 16 that we should "...then approach God's throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need". Question is: How do we approach the throne of grace in order to receive mercy, and to find grace to help us in our time of need? Just how do we approach the throne? When we need healing, it is a time of need. When we need deliverance, it is a time of need. When we need one breakthrough or the other, it is a time of need. And you see, we cannot access the Throne of Grace to receive mercy and grace when we are farther away from it. So, again, how do we approach the Throne of Grace as we are admonished to do? There are 3 ways to do that - 1. When we come before our God in prayers - to intercede, supplicate, or even to repent of our sins. It's the third week in the month of June - Praise the Lord! In this week's episode of the podcast, I summarize on the series we've been running for some weeks now - The Pillars of Stability. Our Lord tells us in Mark 10:29-30, that if we live sacrificially for His sake and that of the gospel, we shall have a hundredfold harvest on this earth, and with persecution. So, you see that persecution is part of the Salvation package. And that's the reality. Jesus was persecuted, the disciples and Apostles of the early church were persecuted. One way or the other, we ourselves shall be persecuted. We shall go through seasons of trials and temptations, the storms and the challenges of life. At such times, the bible says that, wisdom and knowledge shall give us spiritual stability to enable us stand, and to withstand the storms and the challenges. Welcome to a new week friends. In this week's episode of the podcast, I draw attention to two verses in the book of John 11 that explains the role Wisdom and Knowledge (Pillars of Stability) play in the life of an individual, especially in his or her time of pain and tribulation. In verses 21 and 32, you find Martha and Mary utter the same sentence before the Lord respectively, but one of them did something the other did not do. The other could not do it because she did not have what it takes to do it. It is with great joy that I welcome you to the month of June 2021. We got to this place, not by our power, and not by our might - but by the mercy and grace of a good God. Hallelujah! In today's podcast, I share a second case study from the Word of God on the Pillars of Stability. In Luke 10:38-42, is the popular story of Mary and Martha. In verse 39 and 40, we see two different outlooks towards the Word of God - Mary at the feet of Jesus seeking and acquiring the knowledge of God's Word and His kingdom, and Martha on the other hand, placing service above the Word of God. Both later on in life lost their brother Lazarus. And both, based on the Pillars of Stability (wisdom and knowledge) reacted differently to the circumstance. Dear friends. I welcome you to a glorious week in the name of the Lord. In this week's episode of the podcast, I mention the two pillars of stability in Isaiah 33:6 - Wisdom and Knowledge. Wisdom is popularly defined as "Knowledge that is properly applied". So, wisdom is dependent on knowledge. Where there's no knowledge of God, the wisdom of God cannot go into operation. I used the temptation of our Savior as a case study - Matthew 4:1-11. Jesus engaged the two pillars here in this scripture. On three occasions, He used the Word of God against the devil, and ended up destabilizing him. Dear friends, I welcome you to a glorious new week in the name of the Lord. In this week's episode of the podcast, I began a series on the Pillars of Stability. And I pray you'll follow through with me as I share on the subject. Two main words make up the topic - Pillars and Stability. We all crave for stability in every area of our lives - in our businesses, academics, professions, marriages, finances, health etc. However, beyond these, should be the desire for Spiritual Stability because our very essence is spiritual. My text scripture is Isaiah 33:6.
