Even so, they have made me." This quote inspired me to reflect on how experiencing art with our kids, even at a young age, can have a profound impact on their development.Remember, simplicity is key. Choose one painting or piece of art to focus on, allowing your child to truly engage and appreciate its beauty. Start off your new homeschool year with fun art activities by celebrating Dot Day- inspired by the epic book: The Dot by Peter H Reynolds (2003). A worldwide phenomenon, this book has simple illustrations and brief text but it packs a punch on valuing creativity. It's a tale of young student Vashti who doesn't feel she has much to offer in her art class, but her teacher thinks otherwise. Upon her next visit to art class, Vashti is surprised to see her defiant painting of a single, small dot in the middle of a piece of paper has been framed and displayed behind her teacher's desk.
