    #12 Katherine Fitzpatrick In this episode I'm speaking with Katherine Fitzpatrick I met Katherine online a few years ago and it was lovely to connect with her as she is also local to where I live. Despite that we've only ever met up once a couple of years ago at a supper club event but I'm hoping to enjoy a dog walk with her soon! Katherine is a mum of two and works as a senior manager in the Prison Service, which she joined in 2004. Towards the end of high school Katherine lost her focus on education and career direction but refocused and returned to education, gaining a degree in 2000. She enjoys the challenges that leadership brings and developing her team whilst focusing on her own personal development. Katherine took on the challenge of studying for a Master's degree earlier this year in Senior Leadership and is looking forward to furthering her career. Rebecca is a fully qualified Nutritional Therapist specialising in Lyme Disease/CFS/mold illness and all things chronic illness. She asked me to be part of her podcast Period Story last year and when I wanted someone to come talk about hormones, I knew I wanted Le'Nise to come talk about hormones. Le'Nise Brothers is a registered nutritionist, mBANT, mCHNC, specialising in women's health, hormones and the menstrual cycle, yoga teacher. She is also the host ost of the Period Story podcast. She works with women who want to get control of sugar cravings, mood swings and hormonal acne, bloating and headaches, as well as increase their energy levels. Le'Nise has helped many women with hormonal issues ranging from PMS, PCOS, fibroids, endometriosis, heavy, painful, missing & irregular periods, post-natal depletion, perimenopause and menopause. She set up her practice Eat Love Move to help empower and educate women to understand their bodies, advocate for better healthcare and heal.     #5 Asma Begum In this episode I'm speaking with Asma Begum, Founder of Soul Sisters supporting domestic violence survivors. We met last year at the WomanKind North event for International Women's Day and I sat and listened to Asma tell her story on stage and I felt so moved by her story that I knew I wanted her to be a guest on the show. Asma is a British Bangladeshi single mum now living in North UK and is a survivor of domestic abuse, having fled an abusive marriage into a women's refuge with her young son. She has worked within the Corporate care sector for over 10 years and she now delivers coaching and motivational speeches about the Domestic Abuse. Over the last two and half years Asma has joined groups supporting female survivors of domestic abuse, both online and in person. Using her own experiences to inspire and motivate other women that are also wishing to turn their lives around from the negative impact on health, well-being and happiness to positively overcome traumas of domestic abuse. Asma shares how her family migrated from Bangladesh and how they had high expectations for her and how that was where Imposter Syndrome started for her. She also talks about her experience in the workplace as well as an abusive relationship had an impact on what she believed about herself and how she has broke away from what others told her. We talk about the labels that others give you as well as the labels we give ourselves and why it's important to challenge those and start to peel them away. She also talks about how she studied law and instead of following the career path that her dad expected her to follow, life events took her to the work she does now, supporting survivors of domestic abuse. After starting her blog back in 2011 Becky realised her love for writing and went to university aged 33 to study Professional Writing where she graduated with first class honours. Becky prides herself on her candid voice, both on her blog and social media where she often discusses her battles with mental health, IBS and Fibromyalgia alongside her honest approach to fashion. I met Becky last year at an event for International Women's Day which we were both speaking at. After striking up a conversation on the day, we then connected on social media. Becky then opened up about Imposter Syndrome on her social media and we chatted about it, so I knew I wanted her to be a guest on the show. Becky talks about her own career journey and how she didn't feel like the conventional 9-5 work environment didn't fit her style and how she took the leap into the self employed space. She also talks about coming from a working class background and how her Imposter has questioned who does she think she is and how it had made her feel around other people from different backgrounds. She also talks about how she has overcome Imposter Syndrome around body confidence and how it then shifted to questioning her personal abilities.     In this episode I'm speaking with Rachael Kennedy, Owner of Grönn: Manchester's First Eco-Luxe Salon & Sustainable Lifestyle Store. I met about 4 years ago and as we live close to each other we've met up face to face many times and had many interesting conversations and she inspires me to be a better human being for the planet! Racheal talks about her own career journey in the hairdressing industry and how she has rebelled against how she was told she should be working in a salon. Hitting 40 with one wrong turn after another and nowhere to go, life pushed her onto the path of launching a business like no other. Turns out it saved her life. Contrary to what others thought, she wasn't mad to do it after all... Rachael set up her own salon which is completely in line with who she is and what she believes in, which has won her many accolades including being named as one of the top 10 salons in the UK. Rachael also talks about how Imposter Syndrome thrives when you work on your own and what she has personally done to combat that. She also talk about her biggest bout of Imposter Syndrome when she was asked to be part of a panel for a sustainability industry event and how deciding to be authentically herself was the solution.     The Imposter Solution with Holly Wright, Executive Assistant at MUFG Bank. Holly has previous experience in both the legal and travel sectors. Holly has been at MUFG for 5 months, following redundancy from her previous role, due to the pandemic. Holly likes to push the boundaries of the EA role and regularly gets involved in business projects, with a particular interest in technology projects. Holly enjoys researching and learning and used her period of redundancy to reflect on her previous roles and knowledge gaps and gained some new skills. I met about 2 years ago and I've had the pleasure of having many conversations with Holly about her Imposter Syndrome and I've seen her own personal journey of discovery and overcoming it. Holly talks about her own career journey and when she first heard of Imposter Syndrome she wasn't sure she was senior enough to experience it. Holly talks about how she held herself back from going to university and how her career was influenced by people who could see her potential. Holly also was set a 5 question challenge set by her mentor to help her look at how she looked at success and achievement. She shares what the challenge was and how it's helped her but how it continues to help and inspire others. Holly also had to find a new role last year at the start of the pandemic and she shares some great advice what to do when looking for a new role and why it's important to consider job offers and pick an environment that's right for your personality type. As an employee Holly also shares her views on how she thinks companies should be broaching this subject and support employees experiencing this.
