Joining me on this episode it was a pleasure to be joined by 2020 AIG Women's Open champion Sophia Popov who bares all in this incredible raw and honest story about the highest highs of winning in a remarkable fairytale story at Royal Troon to finding out finally after 3 years she was diagnosed with Lyme Disease.  Sophia was born in Boston, Massachusetts but moved to the Karlsruhe district in Germany at the age of 4 where she would compete in numerous competitions as a German player although has now stayed in Arizona for a number of years. Sophia would have success in her earlier years representing Team Europe at 2009 Junior Solheim Cup which included Leona Maguire & Klara Spilkova, she also won the 2010 International European Ladies Amateur Championship. Sophia would go to University of South California representing USC Trojans and would play a part of 2x Espirito Santo Trophy's & 3x European Ladies' Amateur Team Championships for Germany and won 2x Vagliano Trophy's for Team Europe as well as winning numerous collegiate titles. In 2014 Sophia would turn pro at her home event on LET at German Masters and would win both a LET card & LPGA card for 2015 before disaster struck the early signs of fatigue, multiple pains and lack of appetite left Sophia feeling pretty frail and it would take 3 years to have a diagnosis of deadly Lyme Disease and now raises much needed awareness on Lyme Disease as an advocate. In 2020 while on Symetra Tour just before the height of Covid 19 Pandemic it would come at a great time for Popov as it meant being still able to practice fully in her state of Arizona where Cactus Tour mini tour events were still taking place for player which included some top LPGA pros from Arizona area including 3x major champion Anna Nordqvist & Carlota Ciganda playing a couple. This gave Sophia a platform to stay competitive and it would pay off winning 3x Cactus Tour events before Tour Golf made a comeback and would finish well at Marathon Classic which would get Sophia into 2020 AIG Women's Open at Royal Troon, the rest as they say is history as Sophia Popov would overcome all the odds to complete a truly remarkable feat coming from unknown pro to Major Champion defeating Jasmine Suwannapura by 2 shots to etch her name in the history books forever, truly one of the most unbelievable tales.  This year back playing on Epson Tour in Arizona would see Popov win Carlisle Arizona Women's Classic just a little over a year after giving birth to her little girl Maya and what makes the story even better is Sophia won the event on Mother's Day of all days to win in front of her daughter.   Please be sure to share this fantastic episode around as we try to tell the full story of Sophia Popov. Capping off a two-year run of his Forget Tomorrow World Tour and facing waves of criticism after a lackluster viral performance at Romania's Electric Castle Timberlake took to Instagram to break his silence. According to Parade he disclosed that he's been privately battling Lyme disease which has caused relentless nerve pain fatigue and sickness during his shows. Timberlake shared that while he considered stopping touring altogether he ultimately chose to push through finding joy and mental tenacity in the experience. He expressed his gratitude to fans and family including Jessica Biel and their sons while also hoping to raise awareness for others suffering with the disease. The pop icon's social media feeds have been busy. His post addressing the health battle came alongside a deeply personal homage to neo-soul pioneer D'Angelo who passed away from pancreatic cancer at age 51. On Instagram and echoed by ABC Audio and American Songwriter Timberlake reflected on the transformative influence D'Angelo's music had on his own voice calling albums like Brown Sugar and Voodoo pivotal and transcendent. The heartfelt essay ended with Timberlake saluting the trailblazer for reshaping R&B and music culture.Meanwhile Timberlake's name has resurfaced in the ongoing Spears-Federline media drama. As reported by UNILAD and Entertainment Tonight Kevin Federline is promoting a new memoir with claims that Britney Spears called Timberlake the night before her wedding in 2004 sparking renewed speculation and fan debate over whether the two had lingering feelings. Federline insists she wanted final closure but fans are calling his revelations opportunistic while Britney's camp accuses him of profiting off her as child support payments end.On the business front Timberlake remains a player in vertical farming ventures. The Straits Times noted that despite a downturn in the industry Timberlake's backing of high-tech urban agriculture alongside other celebrities still signals optimism for sustainable food production.Family collaborations are staying in the spotlight too. Jessica Biel's latest wine project Prophet and Poet with winemaker Jesse Katz celebrates the couple's creative passions and was originally crafted as a wedding gift from Timberlake and Biel according to 7x7 Bay Area. What began as a niche family label now includes over 900 cases and welcomes the public to enjoy their shared artistry.Speculation is swirling but Timberlake's own verified posts and actions suggest a man grappling candidly with personal health setbacks navigating public perception and paying tribute to his musical heroes while quietly investing in new ventures and supporting family collaborations. Why You Should Listen:  In this episode, you will learn about the latest approaches to healing your body from mold toxicity, Lyme disease, and other complex, chronic health conditions. About My Guest: My guest for this episode is Dr. Neil Nathan.  Neil Nathan, MD has been practicing medicine for over 50 years and has been Board Certified in Family Practice and Pain Management and is a Founding Diplomate of the American Board of Integrative Holistic Medicine and a Founding Diplomate of ISEAI. He has written several books, including "Healing is Possible: New Hope for Chronic Fatigue, Fibromyalgia, Persistent Pain, and Other Chronic Illnesses" and "On Hope and Healing: For Those Who Have Fallen Through the Medical Cracks."  He has been working to bring an awareness that mold toxicity is a major contributing factor for patients with chronic illness and lectures internationally on this subject which led to the publication of his eBook, "Mold and Mycotoxins: Current Evaluation and Treatment, 2016" (now updated to 2022), and then to his best-selling book "Toxic: Heal Your Body from Mold Toxicity, Lyme Disease, Multiple Chemical Sensitivities and Chronic Environmental Illness."  2021 saw the publication of "Energetic Diagnosis," a discussion of the value of intuition and energetic devices as an aid to both diagnosis and treatment of medical illness.  In 2024, his book "The Sensitive Patient's Healing Guide" was released with a focus on how to approach the treatment of sensitive patients.  And most recently, in late 2025, the second edition of his book "Toxic" was released with several years of new information and insights on healing from complex chronic conditions.  Dr. Nathan has been treating chronic complex medical illnesses for 30 years now, and Lyme disease for the past 20 years.  As his practice has evolved, he finds himself increasingly treating the patients who have become so sensitive and toxic that they can no longer tolerate their usual treatments, and his major current interest is in finding unique ways of helping them to recover. Justin Timberlake BioSnap a weekly updated Biography.Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel have been dominating headlines with a cascade of deeply personal and professional developments just in the past few days, painting the picture of a couple in both reflective and forward-moving moments. On October 4th, Timberlake took to Instagram Stories with a heartfelt anniversary tribute to Biel, marking 13 years of marriage with throwback photos and a loving caption—“My favorite person,” he called her, adding a cheeky, romantic snap of a kiss on Biel's cheek during a nature outing, reported by AOL Entertainment and confirmed by E News. Biel responded in kind, posting a simple but sincere “I love you” alongside a photo of Justin in Paris. What makes this anniversary especially notable is their public reconciliation in February 2025 after a brief separation, and the confirmation—via AOL Entertainment—that they have recently become engaged once again, igniting engagement rumors confirmed by multiple outlets. Family remains at Timberlake's core. He has been open about the joys and challenges of raising their two sons, Silas and Phineas, with Biel, who has been described by insiders to Us Weekly as a “superwoman” and pillar of strength—especially as Timberlake continues to navigate his highly publicized battle with Lyme disease. Timberlake revealed the diagnosis in a lengthy Instagram post at the end of his Forget Tomorrow World Tour this past July, candidly sharing the physical and emotional toll of the illness, but affirming that performing and family give him the drive to push forward. According to multiple sources close to the couple, Biel's unwavering support and their shared focus on family wellness have brought them even closer during this challenging chapter. Professionally, Timberlake's world tour wrapped earlier this year, but the music world is abuzz with rumors of an *NSYNC reunion. According to WEAR-TV, while there is strong interest from promoters and bandmates Lance Bass, Joey Fatone, JC Chasez, and Chris Kirkpatrick, Timberlake has not engaged in talks for a potential 2026 arena tour—at least not yet. This comes after the group's 2023 reunion for the Trolls Band Together single “Better Place” and a high-profile MTV VMAs appearance, but the current chatter is that the tour could proceed even without him, a prospect that would undoubtedly shape his legacy and the band's future. On the business front, Timberlake's past investments are making news again, though not for positive reasons. GolfWRX recirculated reports that he took a multi-million dollar loss on the sale of his Memphis golf course, Mirimichi, a story first reported years ago but still discussed in the context of his broader financial portfolio. There are no recent updates on new business ventures, but his estimated net worth remains robust, reported around $175 million. Social media remains a key platform for Timberlake, who frequently shares both playful and poignant glimpses of his life with Biel and their boys. These posts—especially in light of his health struggles and recent re-engagement—are being closely watched by fans and media, underscoring how his personal narrative continues to evolve in real time. In sum, the past few days have brought a mix of celebration, vulnerability, and speculation for Justin Timberlake—personal milestones with Biel, ongoing health challenges, tantalizing hints of a musical reunion, and the enduring spotlight on his life as a family man, artist, and public figure. For more, fans are keeping eyes on Instagram and trusted entertainment outlets for the next twist in the Timberlake story.Get the best deals https://amzn.to/3ODvOtaThis content was created in partnership and with the help of Artificial Intelligence AI

In this raw and revealing conversation, Izzy is joined by investigative journalist, wellness advocate, and documentary filmmaker Jonathan Otto, whose work has reached millions globally. The two discuss everything from healing parasites and trauma to escaping the trap of performance-driven identity — especially for men. Jonathan opens up about being shaped by childhood wounds, the risk of chasing fame over faith, and why true healing can't be outsourced. Izzy brings the convo full circle by reflecting on why this episode had to happen — especially now. Drawing inspiration from past critiques by names like Charlie Kirk, this episode doesn't just call men to do better. It calls them to feel, to reflect, and to stop sleeping on their assignment. “You were never lazy,” Izzy says. “You were in survival mode.” And that survival is costing us potential, purpose, and even our peace.Jonathan highlights the importance of real-life therapy, especially for men of faith who've been taught to just “pray it away.” He talks about the power of holding space with people who can validate your pain while still holding you accountable. The conversation wrestles with the emotional consequences of never confronting your own story and the spiritual danger of not knowing your why. Together, they dig into self-sabotage, spiritual warfare, dietary healing, and why so many men use comfort as a cover-up. From letting go of bitterness to breaking cycles of delay and numbness, this episode is a necessary interruption for anyone who feels stuck, silenced, or sick of themselves. You'll hear conviction. You'll feel the tension. But more than anything, you'll be reminded that your potential isn't gone — it's just buried under habits, hurts, and the pressure to be perfect.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/p-s-a-the-mental-health-podcast--5520511/support.TrustBuilder Package

Justin Timberlake BioSnap a weekly updated Biography.Justin Timberlake's past week has been marked by a deeply personal revelation that could reshape the next chapter of his career. In a heartfelt Instagram statement posted July 31 as reported by AOL, Timberlake publicly disclosed that he has been diagnosed with Lyme disease—a condition he described as relentlessly debilitating and which he'd kept private while powering through his massive world tour. He insisted that his announcement was not for sympathy but to clear up speculation swirling around his recent live performances, where fans and critics alike had noted a marked drop in his energy and vocal presence. According to Timberlake, the symptoms—including nerve pain and crushing fatigue—were at times so severe he considered calling off the remainder of his Forget Tomorrow World Tour, which wrapped recently after a string of festival appearances. The announcement also sent ripples through the music world for another reason. According to an exclusive from Q92 Radio, the much-rumored NSYNC reunion tour has been put on indefinite hold following Timberlake's diagnosis—with sources confirming the group decided there's no path forward without a fully healthy Justin front and center. This is not the first time illness has disrupted Justin's high-profile commitments; Rolling Stone noted a canceled London concert at the last minute earlier this year, and an Ohio tour finale scrapped just twelve minutes before showtime, both events that fueled fan frustration and social media speculation about his health. While Timberlake's Instagram post drew a flood of support from fans and stars alike, it also prompted an outpouring on platforms like X and Instagram, with hashtags like #WeLoveYouJT and #TimberlakeStrong trending for several days. Despite the setback, the singer took care to thank everyone involved in his touring machine—especially his wife Jessica Biel and their two sons—and left the door ajar about whether he'll ever return to the stage on a major scale. Social media chatter continues to speculate on possible short-term projects or TV appearances, but as of now, no new music or acting ventures have been formally announced. On the business front, Timberlake's empire appears as robust as ever. The Tradable just highlighted his net worth reaching between 350 and 400 million dollars, buoyed by a massive catalog sale to Hipgnosis, ongoing real estate holdings, and his roles in both the liquor and fashion worlds. In the landscape of biographical significance, there's no denying this week's Lyme disease disclosure could represent a career inflection point for Justin Timberlake.Get the best deals https://amzn.to/3ODvOtaThis content was created in partnership and with the help of Artificial Intelligence AI

Justin Timberlake's Lyme Disease Battle Halts NSYNC Reunion as Net Worth Soars

Justin Timberlake BioSnap a weekly updated Biography.Justin Timberlake has made headlines over the past few days, most notably due to the indefinite postponement of a planned NSYNC reunion tour. According to Reality Tea, every band member was ready to celebrate the group's 30th anniversary with a series of major concerts, but those plans are now on hold because Timberlake is battling Lyme disease. Insider sources quoted in US Weekly say JC Chasez, Lance Bass, Joey Fatone, and Chris Kirkpatrick remained fully committed, but Timberlake's health understandably takes precedence. NSYNC supporters recall that Timberlake completed his Forget Tomorrow World Tour in July despite the illness, earning praise even from bandmate Chris Kirkpatrick, who called his perseverance superhero status. This health development is widely seen as a significant biographical moment. The NSYNC anniversary and possible reunion tour would have marked one of Timberlake's most commercially and personally important comebacks in years. The fact that his illness has halted those plans signals not just a pause in his performing career but also affects the trajectory of NSYNC's legacy as a supergroup. Timberlake's battle with Lyme disease is authentic news, and public speculation now focuses on how quickly he'll recover and whether a future NSYNC reunion is even possible. On the business front, Timberlake's financial empire continues to grow. The Tradable just reported that his net worth has reached an astonishing 400 million dollars in 2025, with earnings from touring, royalties, and ventures such as his William Rast clothing brand and real estate deals. The most transformative deal remains his 2022 sale of his entire song catalog to Hipgnosis Song Management for around 100 million dollars. He now brings in 50 to 60 million dollars annually, making him one of entertainment's top earners. There was social media buzz earlier this week revisiting Timberlake's 2017 appearance at the Pilgrimage Music Festival, but the mention—circulating especially on Threads—was more nostalgic than tied to any current projects. Meanwhile, recent news from The Celeb Post and AOL described a concert he held at a racecourse that authorities deemed dangerously overcrowded, triggering restrictions on future events at the venue, though Timberlake himself faced no legal charges.Financially, there have been rumors about Timberlake losing millions on the sale of his Memphis golf course, a business decision that—while a hit to his portfolio—is unlikely to affect his overall financial standing given his current net worth. Public reaction is more focused on his health and the NSYNC tour's status than his real estate or business ventures.Headlines about Timberlake this week aren't about new releases or TV appearances—they center on his health battle, the fate of NSYNC, and the business moves that secure his legacy as a major force in pop culture. Speculation remains high about when he'll return to the stage and what surprises may await if an NSYNC reunion does materialize.Get the best deals https://amzn.to/3ODvOtaThis content was created in partnership and with the help of Artificial Intelligence AI

Why Stopping Lyme Treatment Too Soon Can Backfire

Have you had symptoms return after stopping Lyme treatment? Share your story below. Your experience may help someone else navigating the same difficult decision.SummaryOne of the most frequent questions in Lyme care is: “If I feel better, should I stop treatment?” The answer is complicated. While no one wants to stay on antibiotics longer than necessary, stopping too soon often leads to relapse.Lyme disease is not a typical infection. Borrelia burgdorferi can persist by hiding in tissues, forming biofilms, and shifting into alternate forms. When treatment ends prematurely, surviving bacteria may re-emerge, and symptoms such as brain fog, joint pain, fatigue, or neuropathy often return. Co-infections like Babesia or Bartonella add another layer, sometimes becoming more obvious once Lyme therapy is withdrawn.Guidelines remain divided. IDSA discourages extended therapy, while ILADS—where I helped author the 2004 and 2014 guidelines—supports individualized, carefully monitored treatment when patients remain ill. The key is shared decision-making, weighing risks and benefits, and avoiding a one-size-fits-all approach. The goal is not indefinite treatment, but the minimum effective therapy that allows patients to heal and reclaim their lives. The takeaway is simple: stopping Lyme treatment too soon often means starting over. Recovery is about staying better tomorrow—not just feeling better today.

Elderly Lyme Disease Patients Need Individualized Care

Treating Lyme disease in elderly patients is one of the most complex challenges I see in my practice.Unlike younger adults, older patients often live with multiple health conditions. They may be taking many medications, which raises the risk of drug interactions. Kidney or liver function may be reduced, making it harder to clear antibiotics. And neurological symptoms from Lyme can increase the risk of falls, which can have devastating consequences in this age group.Standard guidelines don't always address these realities. What works well for a younger patient may not be safe—or effective—for someone in their eighties. That's why Lyme disease treatment in elderly patients requires individualized care.Every decision has to balance infection control with age-related vulnerabilities. Antibiotics may be necessary, but they can also increase risks like dehydration, C. difficile infection, or secondary complications. Medications for neuropathy may relieve pain but could also cause sedation and falls. And we can't overlook the role of co-infections like Babesia or Bartonella, which make recovery even more complicated. As an ILADS guideline author, I've emphasized the importance of clinical judgment and patient-centered care. For elderly patients, that means more frequent monitoring, lower starting doses, and close coordination with family and caregivers. The goal isn't just to fight infection—it's to preserve function, independence, and quality of life.So here's the bottom line: elderly Lyme disease patients need more than standard protocols. They need individualized care that takes into account the whole person, not just the infection.”
