I was introduced to it through TBGWT (The Black Guy Who Tips) and it has quickly become a permanent fixture in my weekly rotation. The energy between Gastor and Shalewa is infectious, and their comedic timing is spot on. This podcast has quickly become one of my all-time favorites, and I've been listening to podcasts since their advent.
One of the best aspects of this podcast is the hilarious takes on the news and daily life. Gastor and Shalewa tackle everything from raising kids to runaway animals, and they do it in such an engaging and interesting way. Their chemistry is top-notch, with Gastor's wild perspectives being reigned in by Shalewa's level-headedness. Listening to them feels like having a conversation with friends, and I love that they really listen to each other.
Another great aspect of this podcast is the observational humor about the strange times we live in. They manage to take on various topics with wit and charm, leaving listeners laughing out loud. Whether they're discussing outdoor activities, Verzuz battles, or even Dickies and spices, Gastor and Shalewa always find a way to make it funny.
However, there are a few aspects of this podcast that may not appeal to everyone. Some listeners may not enjoy Gastor's insistence on an alcoholic Yoo-hoo or some of the more niche humor. Additionally, there have been mentions of the use of the "n-word" in previous reviews as a potential turn off for some listeners.
