“Based on a true story” movies: some love them, some hate them. In recent years, these movies have become more cookie-cutter and cliché leading some people to lose interest in the entire concept. Then comes the subject of today's review, ‘Roofman', a movie that proves not all “based on a true story” concepts are created equal.   This one focuses on a fugitive who makes his living robbing fast food restaurants and lives within a Toys ‘R' Us. With a critically acclaimed director Derek Cianfrance at the helm and a cast that includes Channing Tatum, Kirsten Dunst, Lakeith Stanfield, and others, there are plenty of reasons to view this movie with optimism. A caller thinks Boomer is being a bleeding heart woke liberal when it comes to his takes on the Knicks. Hour 4 Gio said when he gets home from work, he is quiet and doesn't talk much. His wife and daughters are the loud ones talking non stop. Gio is locked into a TikTok account of a guy who works at a convenience store. Just before dawn on the last Saturday of June 2013, an employee at a Toys ‘R' Us store in upstate New York was working in the stock room, when suddenly he heard an alarm going off somewhere inside the store. He radioed his manager to turn off that alarm, but the manager didn't respond. Another employee went to the front office to check on the manager, and they found him unconscious and bleeding from a hole in his chest. Police and paramedics responded and rushed the man to the hospital, but sadly, he was dead on arrival. The store had been locked all morning, and the four surviving employees had been working in separate parts of the store. Each of them claimed to have seen nothing out of the ordinary that morning.
