6. Chapter 5 – One man sinned, one Man saves In chapter five, Paul uses the examples of two men. First Adam and then Jesus. Through one man, sin entered the world, resulting in death. Through Jesus, we receive the gift that brings life. This week we will look at the contrasts between Adam and Jesus.
Segment 2: Sanctification by Faith Episode 5: Romans Chapter 4 – Abraham's Example Paul continues to build his argument for justification by faith by using the forefather of the Jewish nation as an example of justification by faith. This week we will look at how Abraham was made righteous before the Law existed.
Episode 4: Romans 3 – Everyone needs Salvation All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. We have seen that God hates sin, the Gospel is the power of salvation, and God will judge sin, but He has provided a way for us to be justified before Him. This week we will look at what it means to be justified by faith.
Episode 3: Romans 2 - The Jews are Without Excuse In chapter one, we saw that God's wrath was revealed, that man is without excuse as God has made Himself known to all. God hates sin, and because He is just, He will judge those who sin. No sinner escapes the judgement of God, not even those who have the Law. This week we will look at God's judgement.
Chapter 1 – The Gospel is the Power to Save Romans starts with Paul's introduction. He is set apart for the Gospel; he is not ashamed of the Gospel, and he has committed his life to the Gospel. Why? This week we will look at the power of the Gospel to save the world.
