Podcast by White Oak Christian Church
In every season—joyful or hard— is the opportunity that God is forming you more into the image of Christ. In this series through the book of Philippians, we'll explore how being formed in Jesus transforms the way we think, live, and love. Paul's words speak directly to our lives today, asking questions like: What's the secret to joy in all seasons? How do I grow through trials, not just endure them? What does humility look like in a world focused on self? How can I experience peace, even when life feels uncertain? Whether you're just starting your faith journey or looking to grow deeper, this series will help you discover how formation begins where faith meets practice—and how God is completing a good work in you.

In this Formation Conversation, longtime White Oak member David Wilmore shares his story of faith through significant hardships. Diagnosed with a brain aneurysm, amyloidosis, and leukemia, David's journey is one of resilience, deep faith, and a heart set on glorifying God. David has been a part of White Oak Christian Church for over 45 years—serving as an elder, Adult Bible Fellowship teacher, missions advocate, prayer warrior, and a friend to many. His commitment to Scripture, spiritual mentoring, and joyful service has touched countless lives in our church and around the world. Even now, facing another stem cell transplant, David continues to worship, serve, and speak of God's goodness. His testimony reveals how God forms us—not in spite of hardship—but through it.

n this Formation Conversation, we sit down with Cynthia Snyder—wife, mom, and a woman whose journey into faith has been nothing short of remarkable. Raised in a home where God wasn't part of the picture, Cynthia once considered herself an atheist. But through friendship, curiosity, motherhood, and the quiet whispers of the Holy Spirit, she discovered a life-changing love in Jesus. This conversation explores what it means to say “yes” to Jesus, the power of Scripture, how spiritual practices are shaping her, and how she's navigating faith in the midst of parenting and everyday life.
Easter is more than a moment — it's an invitation to begin (or begin again) your journey with Jesus. We believe the risen Jesus meets us right where we are — in our questions, in our hopes, and in our everyday lives. And when we encounter Him, our journey is never the same. Join us this Easter as we remember the power of the resurrection and discover the hope, life, and purpose Jesus offers to every one of us. At White Oak, in Colerain and Ross, we believe formation happens as we walk with Jesus — being shaped by His presence and sent with His hope into the world. Let Easter be your starting point.

Today, I'm excited to introduce our guest, Cyndi. Cyndi and her husband, John, have been a part of White Oak Christian Church for several years and are actively involved at our Colerain Campus. She has a heart for ministry and has led our Celebrate Recovery program, walking alongside those dealing with hurts, habits, and hang-ups. Cyndi is deeply rooted in prayer, having been involved in various prayer ministries and serving on our prayer team. Despite facing health challenges and chronic pain, she approaches life with faith, joy, and resilience. She loves real, authentic conversations—so don't expect Sunday school answers or "Christianese" from her! She's passionate about creating spaces of hospitality and rest, whether through a warm welcome, a meaningful conversation, or simply being present for those in need. In this conversation, Kyle sits down with Cyndi to learn how prayer and hospitality have shaped her faith, impacted her community, and helped her become more like Jesus for the sake of others. You're already being formed by something, whether you realize it or not. The real question isn't if you're being shaped, but who or what is shaping you? In this conversation, Lead Pastor Nathan Hinkle shares his personal journey of formation—how God has been reshaping his faith, leadership, and life. We explore why spiritual formation is central to everything we do at White Oak Christian Church and what it truly looks like to become more like Jesus for the sake of others. Join us as we discuss spiritual practices, overcoming challenges in formation, and the invitation Jesus extends to all of us to be with Him, become like Him, and do what He did.
