Holiness isn't about us trying harder to do all the right things- it's about what God is doing in us, which then plays out in our daily lives. Holy living must be rooted on the hope that we have in Jesus, or otherwise it's legalism. Nevertheless, it's hard mental work because we need to take every thought captive unto the obedience of Christ. Everything in our lives has to be put through a Biblical worldview to see if it helps us hope more in Jesus' grace. Without our hope in Him, we have no motivation to pursue holiness. Holy living is a transformation that starts with our hope and works outward into our everyday conduct. Are your actions today reflecting the holiness of God-- Hope wholly in Jesus and live a holy life because He has called you to be holy.

In this final Hope Month message, we will come back to the teachings of Jesus and explore his parable of “the sheep and the goats.” In this startling prophecy, Jesus teaches that those to whom his kingdom belongs are the ones who practice justice towards the hungry, thirsty, homeless, naked, sick, and imprisoned. This profound idea is made even more striking by how much the Son of Man radically identifies with those poor and marginalized people. We will end this series the way we began, with Jesus inviting us to dedicate our lives to the work of justice and mercy in this broken world just as he did. What would it look like if we, Grace Church, continued to grow in our compassion, mercy, and love for those the world has rejected? This is an opportunity for us to be exactly who Jesus wants us to be and to join him in the work of healing the broken place of injustice.

In the year 2025, humanity has achieved an unprecedented level of technological advancement, with colonies established on Mars and the development of faster-than-light travel. However, this progress has come at a cost, as the Earth's resources are rapidly depleting and the climate is on the brink of collapse. In the midst of this crisis, a mysterious signal is detected coming from the Kuiper Belt. Upon investigation, a team of scientists discover an ancient spacecraft buried deep in the ice, containing the remains of an extraterrestrial being. As the team works to revive the creature, they discover that it is Enki, a legendary figure from ancient Sumerian mythology. Every day leading up to Christmas we will be reading, studying, and reflecting on a chapter of the Gospel of Luke. There are twenty-four days leading up to Christmas and twenty-four Chapters in Luke. We are going to enter the celebration of the birth of Jesus with a full context of his life and ministry.
