āBlessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me - I want to know Christ and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of sharing in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, and so, somehow, to attain to the resurrection from the dead.

God's purposes unfold at the intersection of place and time.
There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven: a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot, a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build.
All their days their work is grief and pain; even at night their minds do not rest. This too is meaningless. A person can do nothing better [TOV] than to eat and drink and find satisfaction [TOV] in their own toil.Ā
A man can do nothing better than to eat and drink and find satisfaction in his work. This too, I see, is from the hand of God.
āMeaningless! Meaningless!" says the Teacher. "Utterly meaningless! Everything is meaningless." What does man gain from all his labor at which he toils under the sun?Ā

An elder must be blameless, the husband of but one wife, a man whose children believe and are not open to the charge of being wild and disobedient. The Lord is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love. He will not always accuse nor will he harbour his anger forever; he does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities. For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for those who fear him; as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us. As a father has compassion on his children so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him;
