Eddie Murphy's new holiday comedy Candy Cane Lane pokes fun at the idea of being super competitive during the Christmas decorating season. Kelly Younger sat down with Final Draft's Write On podcast to talk about writing the spec script that became a reality in our latest episode. “My manager who I've had for years always sort of keeping track of my projects, and we put some under when he calls the three Ps: passion, propel, and paycheck. Write something that's a passion project, something that can propel your career and something that's just a paycheck!” says Younger about writing his passion project Candy Cane Lane on spec. “I feel extremely lucky to have been on set for every single day and night of the shoot and that is what the director, Reggie Hudland, wanted. We would talk through the scenes with each other we would talk it through with the actors in the moment I was able to pitch alternate lines,” Younger says of the process of filming the holiday movie. Click below to hear more in the full episode. Candy Cane Lane comes out on Amazon December 1.

Have you ever been in a season where you question where God is, what he's doing and/or if he even cares? My new friend Luke lived a pretty long journey of faith through his dad's battle with MS but in the process of growing in his own walk with God he learned what it was like to KNOW God personally, hear from him, get revelations from him, even words of encouragement and knowledge for others. What started with discovering a video of Disneyland miracles through a ministry called Love Says Go with Jason Chin while he was a student at Hillsong in Australia, became a lifetime journey of pursuing and experiencing God on a deeper level and I just believe you and I can too. Luke Palasz, a Husband to Hannah, a Father to three boys; Leo, Eli, and Luca. He works for Love Says Go Ministries as a Project Manager whilst being in the arbor culture industry as a tree climber. He obtained an Advanced Diploma of Ministry at Hillsong International Leadership College in Sydney Australia. Hannah and Luke both went to Redding for one year to experience the church culture at Bethel Church. Currently, Luke and his family live in Oak Creek, Wisconsin and is involved with a house church network in that area. Luke is extremely passionate about God's church and seeing his brothers and sisters come into the fullness that God has laid out before them. Dive into today's conversation with Luke and me as we talk all things “From Striving the Thriving” and how Luke crossed over from knowing God theoretically to knowing him experientially. From Striving to Thriving byLuke Palasz will be on AMAZON December 16th - Mark your calendar and check back for the book link in DECEMBER here! Speak Seductively with Kyle and Lilly

Hello and thank you for joining us for our 16th episode! Lilly and I had such a positive experience talking to Eloisa. We both chuckled when, within a minute of starting the podcast, she told us she likes sex. Eloisa's attitude just exemplifies a sex positive approach. Her breakout novel - Treasure Lost will be available on Amazon December 11, 2020. While that is her first novel, it is far from her first bit of published writing. Eloisa has a fun and naughty Blog - Eloisa's Not-So-Secret Diary as well as a podcast in which she reads many of the stories from her diary - Naughty Nights with Eloisa. Lilly and I can highly recommend checking out her blog, podcast and of course our fun little interview with this fascinating author. Throughout the 2000s, Finland emerged as the country with the best performing educational system in the world. It did so by defying much of the educational conventional wisdom. While the Global Educational Reform Movement (referred to by Professor Sahlberg as GERM) has swept the world, spreading a message of centralization, standardization and accountability, Finland has focused on decentralization and local autonomy. In Finnish Lessons: What Can the World Learn From Educational Change in Finland?, Pasi Sahlberg explores how Finnish students get better results by doing less work than other students and with far less stress. In this episode, Bryan and Hunter discuss with Professor Sahlberg the success of Finland’s educational system and how it fits with everything else they’ve learned through the show.Finnish Lessons is available on Amazon.
