In November 2018, the small town of Earlville, Iowa was shocked when a local man named Todd Muliis called 911 to report that his wife, Amy Mullis, had fallen on a corn rake. When paramedics and Earlville Police met Todd on the side of the road, as he was already headed to the hospital with his wife in the back, they didn't really buy the story that this was an accident. On November 10th, 2018, Todd Mullis called 911 as he rushed his wife, Amy, to the hospital. Amy died from her injuries, which resulted from being impaled by a corn rake or a pitchfork. Todd claimed Amy must have fainted and fallen on it causing her death. Join Mike and Morf as they discuss Amy Mullis. On its face, he did everything he could to save his wife. On November 10, 2018 in Earlville, Iowa, Amy Mullis was working in a hog barn with her husband, Todd, and their eldest son, Trysten. Amy was recovering from a minor procedure and Todd suggested she get a pet carrier from the shed and then rest. After an hour and a half, Trysten went to the shed to fetch the carrier and check on his mother. He found her on her hands and knees with a 4-pronged corn rake protruding from her back in the shed. Amy was pronounced dead at the hospital and Todd became suspect number one. Todd and Amy Mullis were pig farmers in Iowa. They did not have a happy marriage and Amy had 2 affairs, which Todd knew about. One day, Amy is found by her son, Trystan, with a corn rake sticking out of her back. Her husband, Todd and their son, Trystan rush Amy to the hospital, after Todd removed the rake from Amy's back. On the way, Todd calls 911. Amy is pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital, but her death is ruled a homicide. No dia 10 de Novembro de 2018, Amy Mullis chegou ao hospital da sua cidade com ferimentos causados num acidente com um ancinho de milho. Essas pontas perfuraram Amy após ela ter sentido tontura e caído, infelizmente, em cima da ferramenta. Ela chegou ao hospital, mas não resistiu aos ferimentos. In 2018 in Iowa, Amy was found with a corn rake in her back on her family farm. Todd, Amy's husband, drove her to the hospital where she eventually passed away. Initially, investigators thought it was just an unfortunate accident, until the medical examiner noted that they found six puncture wounds, despite the fact that the rake had only four tines. Todd Mullis said his wife died in a gruesome farm accident but the State of Iowa didn't quite see it that way.

Her husband Todd was immediately deemed the prime suspect, despite the fact that many believe his whereabouts and timeline were more than tight enough to prove his innocence. But if he didn't kill her, what happened? Could someone else have been involved? Did Amy accidentally fall on the rake? Or, was Todd just a really good liar?
