He had skated in 217 NHL games (14 goals, 18 assists) and 552 AHL games (105 goals, 186 assists). He played with Colorado, Carolina, and Edmonton.  In the AHL, Brad etched his place in Bakersfield Condors history as the longest-serving team captain appearing in 315 games, the most in the organization's AHL era. After the 2023-24 Calder Cup Playoffs, he officially retired from pro hockey and has transitioned seamlessly from player to mentor. In June 2025, Brad joined the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins as an Assistant Coach – bringing his leadership, experience, and a winning mindset to the bench. It was a rough night at Rogers Place for the Edmonton Oilers.On today's episode of Oilersnation Everyday, Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin break down a disappointing 4-0 loss to the Florida Panthers in a game that carried plenty of Stanley Cup Finals rematch storylines. It's Wednesday once again, which means a fresh episode of Better Lait Than Never is ready to recap another week of pre-season excitement for the Edmonton Oilers. On today's podcast, I discussed the Connor Ingram trade that happened first thing this morning, a potential long-term extension for Jake Walman, Kirill Kaprizov's new contract, and anything else that's happened over the last seven days.With the Oilers' pre-season finally near its end, we're finally seeing the team get some work done ahead of the start of the 2025-26 NHL season. The problem, of course, is that we're still nowhere closer to a solution on the Connor McDavid contract situation. While it was a quieter week in terms of McDavid news, Kaprizov's massive extension in Minnesota certainly had folks connecting some dots. In other news, Stan Bowman pulled the trigger on a trade with Utah early Wednesday that saw the Oilers sending future considerations to the Mammoth in exchange for goaltender Connor Ingram. Currently, Ingram has been assigned to the Bakersfield Condors, but the move did lead to many wondering what the plan is for the goalies now that Ingram is in the fold.Finally, I wrapped up this week's episode of BLTN with a guest Righteous Sack Beating before wrapping up the podcast with another round of voicemails. The voicemail was very quiet this week, but even so, the messages were as varied as they were entertaining. The voicemail is always a fun way to wrap up the show and give everyone a chance to share their thoughts.
