It's not a matter of “if” but “when” you will experience a difficult event. In this week's episode of The Impact Hour, we interview Faydra Koenig, America's Crisis Coach. Faydra is an example what it can look like to follow
Faydra Koenig, "America's Crisis Coach", discusses her journey of having her husband sentenced to 42 years in prison after being convicted of running a 250 million dollar Ponzi scheme. Faydra shares how she copes with receiving threats and hate mail on a weekly basis, and how as a crisis coach she works with people who are going through their own crisis situations. Having endured a childhood of abuse at the hands of her step-father, a first marriage failing due to mental illness, and a second marriage that ended with an affair, Faydra Koenig really thought she had been through her deepest trials. By the time she turned 45, she thought she had learned the tough lessons of life, and she used her personal experience in her career in social work and mental health. She became known as “America's Divorce Coach” and helped others weather those storms. In 2008, she met a man that she fell in love with. Their families got along well and they eventually got married. Even at that time, Faydra had no clue about the battles she was going to face. By the time 2012 rolled around, Faydra's new husband was facing charges for crimes he committed long before she even knew him. He was convicted and sentenced to prison. Thus began Faydra's journey into depression, loneliness, and shame. She was on the path to learning lessons that would forever change her. Listen to this inspiring interview and be amazed God led Faydra through the storms. You can read the full show notes and access all the links and resources www.areyoureal.orgat: www.areyoureal.org

In our conversation Faydra and I talk about circumstances and how to not only survive them, but thrive! Today's guest entrepreneur reviewing the words of Steve Jobs, on the Join Up Dots free business podcast, is a lady who has gradually built her way to where she is today. She quite simply has been through the lifecoach school of hardknocks and now through her top ranked podcast Coming Out Of The Fire she is showing others how to overcome lifes issues. As her professional bio states “I am known in pop culture as America's crisis Coach. I come alongside celebrities, professional athletes, corporations and other high-achievers to manage their crisis situations, save their reputations and minimize damage to themselves and their families.” Which is quite a dramatic statement to make. But what has lead to her to want to build a career, and one that is hugely successful around dealing with other peoples heartaches, and personal distress. What made her want to step boldly into a world of crisis management and create a lifestyle of freedom and success. Well reviewing her career, you can see clearly the dots that have lead her to this point starting with a ten year stint as a Senior Case Manager at Tehama County Mental Health in California. Before undertaking the role of Executive Director responsible for a 24 bed, licensed residential facility for the mentally ill. But to my point of view, and we will discuss this on the show the true signpost showing her the way to her current position was as a Court Investigator researching petitions for conservatorship or guardianship to prevent abuse, neglect or fraud. Combining the personal issues that are encountered by mental health, with the day to day stuff that life throws at people, it is obvious that one word is formed: Crisis. So does she see her career dissection in the same way as I do, or does she feel that other elements have lead her to where she is today? And how does she remain bright and breezy at the end of the day after dealing with the kind of issues that her clients are bringing to her? Well let's find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots with the one and only entrepreneur herself Faydra Koenig.
