Today's Promise: 2 John 1:3 As followers of Christ, God fills our lives with grace, mercy, and peace. Grace is the unmerited favor of God. No matter how good you are or how hard you try, it won't affect your standing with God. God's mercy sent Jesus into the world to save you from your sin. It is God's mercy that created your salvation. Peace is the result of God's grace and mercy working in your life. Because of His grace and mercy, you have peace. God's mercy and grace come together to bring about God's peace in your life.
In this episode, I'm diving into the Book of Matthew ✨
In this Easter Sunday message, Pastor Dan Belshaw follows the journey of the disciples from confusion, grief and fear at Jesus' death to bold, joyful faith after encountering the risen Christ - a faith that ultimately got them killed. Even on the day of the resurrection, they struggled with doubt and disappointment - until Jesus met them personally, revealed himself through his wounds and opened the Scriptures to show that all of scripture pointed to him. In that moment, everything changed: fearful followers became courageous witnesses, carrying the gospel to the ends of the earth, even at great cost. The same invitation stands today - not to adopt an 'idea' of Jesus, but to encounter the living Lord Jesus who transforms lives, offers forgiveness and makes what is dead come alive.
This week, Pastor Dan Belshaw continues our Grace & Mercy series with a message titled Do I Enjoy Jesus? Teaching from John 12, Dan explores Mary's extravagant worship and challenges the idea that faith begins with feelings. In a culture driven by emotion, he invites us to rediscover a deeper rhythm: discipline, leading to desire, leading to delight. Contrasting Mary's surrender with Judas' self-preservation, this message reveals that true joy in Jesus is found not in chasing feelings, but in wholehearted devotion. As Easter approaches, we're invited to respond again to the beauty of the gospel.
This week, Pastor Dan Belshaw continues our Grace & Mercy series with a message titled Do I Really Follow Jesus? In Mark 10, the encounter with the rich young ruler exposes our tendency to add Jesus to our lives rather than surrender to Him. Dan challenges the idea of “cheap grace,” reminding us that while grace is free, it cost Jesus everything. More than admiration or good behaviour, following Jesus requires wholehearted surrender. As we approach Easter, this message invites reflection: do we want Jesus, or do we want control?
This week our Pastor Dan Belshaw opened our Easter series Grace & Mercy with a message titled Jumping Cows & The Prodigal Sons. In Luke 15, Dan explored the famous parable often called the Prodigal Son, reminding us it's really the story of two lost sons. One ran from the Father through rebellion; the other stayed close but trusted in his own goodness. Yet the Father pursued them both. Through this story, Dan showed that sin promises freedom but delivers dirt, while God's grace and mercy restore what was lost. The gospel isn't behaviour modification - it's the Father running to bring us home.
For the Love | Week 1For the Love is a three-week journey through three “one-page” New Testament books—2 John, Philemon, and Jude—exploring how God's truth and love shape our lives, relationships, and witness in the world.
As we step into 2026, many of us are carrying too much: old hurts, unmet expectations, lingering guilt, and far too many "open tabs". In this message from 2 Timothy 1, Ps Claire reminds us that God doesn't call us to try harder — He invites us to receive what He's already given. This is an invitation to close the tabs, clear the clutter, and step forward in freedom — not weighed down by the past, but anchored in the grace, mercy, and peace found in Jesus.
In this challenging continuation of our series on the Gospel of Matthew, Pastor Karl unpacks Matthew 6, where Jesus lays out His expectations for true disciples in the Sermon on the Mount.Building on the heart-revealing demands of chapter 5, Jesus shifts the focus from mere external obedience to the hidden motives behind our spiritual lives. He addresses three key disciplines—giving, praying, and fasting—assuming His followers already practice them regularly, not for human applause but as genuine devotion to God.With piercing clarity, Jesus warns against hypocritical “performance” that craves the praise of people, declaring that such motives forfeit any reward from the Father. Instead, He calls disciples to secret, sincere acts of worship done unto God alone, promising that the Father who sees in secret will reward what is hidden from human eyes.Pastor Karl highlights the revolutionary big idea: Jesus calls us from performance in the presence of people to authentic presence with God. He then explores the Lord's model prayer as a pattern of adoration, submission, dependence, confession, and protection—emphasizing especially the vital link between receiving God's forgiveness and extending it to others. The message culminates in Jesus' stark command not to store up earthly treasures that moth, rust, and thieves destroy, but to invest generously in heavenly treasures that last forever. Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also—revealing that generosity isn't primarily about raising money for God's kingdom, but about God raising children who trust and resemble their generous Father.A convicting yet grace-filled call to examine our motives, reorder our loves, and realign our lives as authentic disciples of Jesus—moving from religious show to wholehearted devotion that finds its reward in God Himself.Watch all our sermons on our youtube channel "Flipside Christian Church"Join us in person 9:00am & 10:30am every Sunday morning.37193 Ave 12 #3h, Madera, CA 93636For more visit us at flipside.churchFor more podcasts visit flipsidepodcasts.transistor.fm
2 John 1:3–4 says this.... “Grace, mercy, and peace will be with you from God the Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love. I rejoiced greatly that I have found some of your children walking in truth, as we received commandment from the Father.” What five powerful truths in these verses! Let's talk about this on today's Morning Manna.
