Stuck in the Middle: You Can't Serve Two Masters—But Are You Even Serving One?Too many believers are stuck—spiritually gifted but business-wise inconsistent. In this episode, Camille Babin gets real about why so many Christians struggle in business: not because they lack vision, but because they're avoiding discipline and calling it “faith.”If you've ever found yourself “waiting on God” but nothing is moving… this is the wake-up call.Camille unpacks the four pillars of a Kingdom business and exposes how spiritual language is often used to justify poor stewardship. You'll walk away challenged to take responsibility, move with clarity, and fully serve God; not just in belief, but in how you build. This episode will push you out of spiritual limbo and into Kingdom-level leadership.

Everyone serves something/someone and after we serve long enough we take on its characteristics. What do you serve? Who or what, claims your loyalty? 2. What is God making aware of your motives and your loyalties? (Psalms 139:23-24; searching moral inventory) 3. In what ways have you made choices to serve God? 4. Who are your other “gods”? What is the payoff for serving them? What's your next step? Connect: We'd love to connect with you! Ps. Jeffrey Rachmat challenges believers to examine what it means to serve God wholeheartedly. He reminds us that when we fully trust in God, money should never be the deciding factor in our decisions. Looking at Jesus' life, we see how He continually strengthened His disciples' faith through miracles and daily encounters. Likewise, God leads us through experiences to grow our faith, teaching us to see every situation through the lens of His possibilities. This sermon challenges us to embrace a faith that sees divine possibilities in every circumstance.
Jeremiah, often called the “weeping prophet” because of his sorrow over the persistent message of God's judgment, prophesied to the nation of Judah from the reign of King Josiah in 627 b.c. until sometime after the destruction of Jerusalem in 586. He dictated his prophecies to a scribe named Baruch (36:4, 32). Jeremiah's task as a prophet was to declare the coming judgment of God. However, throughout the book we also see God's concern for repentance and righteousness in individuals as well as nations. This dual focus is seen in God's instructions to Jeremiah: he was “to pluck up and to break down” but also “to build and to plant” (1:10). Jeremiah sees a future day when God will write his law on human hearts, and “they shall all know me,” and “I will remember their sin no more.”FaithLife Christian Ministries:Download our Free App:https://get.theapp.co/hghqPodcast:https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/faithlife-christian-ministries/id1606442323Facebook:https://www.facebook.com/faithlifecmInstagram:https://www.instagram.com/faithlifecm?utm_source=ig_web_button_share_sheet&igsh=ZDNlZDc0MzIxNw==X:https://x.com/faithlifecmLinkedin:https://www.linkedin.com/in/faithlife-christian-ministries-82ab77191/YouTube:https://www.youtube.com/@FaithLifeChristianMinistriesWebsite:https://faithlifecm.comDonate: https://subsplash.com/u/faithlifechristianminist/giveTable Talk with Yvette Gallinar:https://www.instagram.com/yvette_gallinar/https://www.facebook.com/yvettegallinarhttps://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/table-talk-with-yvette-gallinar/id1729036339https://rumble.com/user/tabletalkwithyvettegallinarhttps://x.com/Yvettegallinarhttps://www.youtube.com/@tabletalkwithyvettegallinar

To serve two masters is like chasing two rabbits at the same time that are going into opposite directions.
Matthew 6:24 (KJV) says: "No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon." While this particular scripture is mainly referring to money (mammon), serving two masters can also apply to other aspects of our lives. The bible tells us of the dangers of having other things (or people) in our lives that occupy our lives more than God. This can be dangerous. Find out what God tells about letting our lives get into this condition.

Sermon Resources: 1. “The eye is not satisfied with seeing, nor the ear filled with hearing.” -Ecclesiastes 1:8 2. “Desire alone, of acquiring goods and possessions for ourselves and our nearest friends, is insatiable, perpetual, universal.” -David Hume, "A Treatise of Human Nature" 3. "I can't get no satisfaction." -Mick Jagger, "Satisfaction" 4. “In almost every act of our daily lives, whether in the sphere of politics or business, in our social conduct or our ethical thinking, we are dominated by a relatively small number of persons who understand the mental processes and social patterns of the masses. It is they who pull the wires which control the public mind.” -Edward Bernays, "Propaganda" 5. “Our enormously productive economy demands that we make consumption our way of life, that we convert the buying and use of goods into rituals, that we seek our spiritual satisfaction, our ego satisfaction, in consumption…The greater the pressures upon the individual to conform to safe and accepted social standards, the more he tends to express his aspirations and his individuality in terms of what he wears, drives, eats, his home, his car, his food, his hobbies. We need things consumed, burned up, worn out, replaced, and discarded at an ever-increasing pace. We need to have people eat, drink, ride, live with ever more complicated and, therefore, constantly more expensive consumption. ” -Victor Lebow, "The Journal of Retailing: 1955" 6. Harvest Queen vs. Homecoming Queen: https://www.christianitytoday.com/ct/1991/november-25/murder-envy-and-harvest-princess-what-really-poisoned.html&sa=D&source=docs&ust=1723312423553888&usg=AOvVaw1ZO4y_-tCOr2mrBn_u6LFG 7. “We have tended to turn the Christian faith into a relationship with a God who is the divine vending machine in the sky, there to meet our every want. Unhappy? Unattractive? Unsuccessful? Unmarried? Unfulfilled? Come to Christ and he'll give you all these things you asked for. We forget that God is not primarily in the business of meeting our wants. When we make him out to be, we squeeze him out of his rightful place at the center of our lives, and we put ourselves in his place. God is in the business of being God - of redeeming and restoring and forgiving and healing and loving. Christianity cannot be reduced to meeting peoples' wants, and when we make it so, we invariably distort the Gospel message.” -David Henderson, "Culture Shift" 8. You Can Not Serve Two Masters. What Actually is Jesus Telling Us? After hearing about the actions we do each time we hear the Gospel read by the Deacon or Priest, the Homily focuses on today's Gospel. Jesus looks around and sees the human heart in a specific light. Jesus says sooner or later one must commit their heart. One must decide how they are going to live. Jesus tells us that we cannot serve two masters. Let's be blunt. Everyone serves someone else. Sometimes we serve our own ambition. Sometimes we serve our fears that control us. We are all serving someone or something. The Lord says, let's be honest. You cannot serve two masters. The Lord again teaches us a lesson. You cannot serve God and serve a spirit of grasping after things. That spirit runs counter to the Gospel. Hear more within this Homily. Years later, Oliver reflects on his decision to embrace the internet despite initial skepticism. As companies scrambled to catch up, he saw the potential in aligning with those who shared his vision. Investing heavily in companies like Microsoft and Apple during their internet adoption phases, Oliver recognized the transformative power of technology. Now, with Bitcoin, he sees a similar opportunity, believing it will drive the next wave of trillion-dollar companies. By making Bitcoin his unit of account, Oliver navigates the dynamic interplay between fiat and Bitcoin adhering to what he terms "Gresham's Law" of money. This Live session took place on X (Twitter) on March 8, 2024.

So much turmoil exists in our world today. There are many idols in society and many other gods. In the midst of all the evil and turmoil, God still reigns and speaks to His people. Today, Pastor Johnny gives some similar examples of when Israel was in turmoil, and when God reminded them of what He had done.

Most everyone will remember when we had a pandemic and it seemed like no one was in charge and there was no guidance. Every business, school, and church was closed. Today, Pastor Johnny compares a time when Israel had a similar thing happen, and how God moved to reopen the temple to people for worship.

Most everyone has heard the saying, ‘sitting on the fence.' It means we can't decide which side to choose. We can't decide whether something is right or wrong. Today, Pastor Johnny tells us how Israel tried to live two different ways and suffered the consequences of their sin of wanting to serve God and idols.
