A midterm poll, conducted by GBC with Mediatel, suggests a significant swing - in voting intentions - to the GSD, but it's still all to play for ahead of the next election due to the many who don't know how they'd vote. At the midway point in the electoral cycle, we asked over 1,000 respondents about their voting intentions in face-to-face interviews over nine days earlier this month. News editor Christine Vasquez went over the findings. The iconic Sundial Roundabout could be replaced by a new design. The Government has asked architects and design professionals to design a new roundabout at the site as well as the Kingsway Roundabout. Christina Cortes told us how some of the community has reacted to the announcement. Environment and Transport Minister John Cortes was in the studio to chat about a number of topics, such as the end of Active Travel Month, a major sewage infrastructure project, as well as the plans to update the Sundial roundabout. The Sovereign Young Artist Competition 2026 has been launched, organised by the Sovereign Art Foundation in conjunction with Gibraltar Cultural Services. The competition will now feature two categories, recognising young artists aged 11 to 24. We spoke to Sovereign Group Marketing Coodinator, Phoebe Kelly. It's not every day that a work colleague celebrates their 40th work anniversary. In fact, we think it's the first time anyone has worked at GBC for 40 years. Today is 40 years since a beautiful, 19 year old, Sangeeta Fabre joined our finance department. This morning the boardroom was packed with people this morning who wanted to surprise her and wish her well on her 40th work anniversary. And there's a new TV show to tell you about. Force Origins: Red Four on the Rock airs tonight, and is about a Hollywood actor exploring one's roots on the Rock. Iain Triay Clarence was reporting in town for GBC, we caught up with him in the studio to share his highlights from yesterday.Marine conservation charity, the Nautilus Project, says it's humbled to receive recognition from King Charles for its work on the Gibraltar Seagrass Restoration Project in his National Day letter this year. We spoke to Marine biologist Lewis Stagnetto.Gibraltar will be hosting the European Championships of Maintain Bike Eliminator Races in a couple weeks, in collaboration with the European Cycling Union. We spoke to Karl Soleci, one of the main organisers, and Giles Cerisola who'll be participating at the event. What did you think of the drone display last night? It seems to have divided opinion. Unfortunately the signal for the GBC coverage suffered, leaving many disappointed. We discussed the opinions from some of our listeners, and are pleased to confirm that the full drone display is now available on our website.How was your National Day? For Malcolm Blagg, the day is always a chance to celebrate community. Malcolm goes out of his way to make sure those around him at El Quarri have a great day. So much so that he was presented with a special award yesterday from Quarri regulars.And a scooter club from Pontefract in Yorkshire embarked on a charity ride to Gibraltar with their arrival coinciding with National Day. The Elm Valley Scooter Club is raising money for local charity Bosom Buddies Cancer Trust. Patrick Mulhern, Dean Howarth and John Wesbroom and Dean Smith from the club came down to the studio.
