Title: Lay Up Treasures in Heaven Passage: Matthew 6:19-24
In this episode, we explore Jesus' teaching in Matthew 6:19–24 and discover why Gospel work is the greatest investment of our lives. From our treasures to our perspective to the master we serve, Jesus reveals what truly leads to the #Blessed life. We look at how our hearts follow what we value most, how generosity brings light into a dark world, and how choosing God over money reshapes everything about our daily lives. If you've ever wrestled with where to put your time, energy, and resources—or wondered what the “good life” really is—this conversation will help you see God as the true treasure, invite you into a sharing, helping Kingdom family, and challenge you to put Him first in every area of life.
God cares more about your heart than anything else, and how the way you manage your time, talent, and treasure shapes the course of your life. From modernizing the parable of the talents to a Monopoly illustration, we discover that everything we have belongs to God—and faithful stewardship is our calling. Recorded: Sunday, November 23, 2025

As I listened to the Gospel reading on Friday June 20th 2025, my mind immediately connected Jesus' words, “But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven…”, with verse 1:12 of the Song of Songs, “While the King rested in his own room my nard yields its perfume.” Maybe it's a real stretch, too much of a leap, but humor me and listen as I explain my thoughts to members of Hope's Garden in this video. I have spent the past 6 years immersed in the Song of Songs. The poetry and images of the Song have taken root in my heart and I see all Scripture through this lens. Essentially, the Song of Songs has become the key that unlocks deeper meaning of all the Scriptures for me. My love is to share this key with all who are willing to listen! If you desire to dive deeply into God's love song with me, I invite you to explore my YouTube channel and to learn more about Hope's Garden at Hopesgarden.com.Letting the Bridegroom sing over you heals your heart and enkindles the fire of your love for Jesus.
In today's episode, we will discuss the importance of storing up treasures in heaven. I will be pairing this with scripture and prayer. Treasures in HeavenSeries: Sermon on the Mount Preacher: Simon RehbergSunday EveningDate: 18th May 2025Passage: Matthew 6:19-24
In this sermon, Pastor Micah Stephens explores Matthew 6:19-24 from the Sermon on the Mount, urging believers to choose heavenly treasures over earthly ones. He emphasizes Jesus' teaching on giving, praying, and fasting as acts of obedience that yield divine rewards when done with a pure heart, not for worldly recognition. Pastor Micah warns against the hypocrisy of seeking earthly rewards like wealth and glory, which reveal a divided loyalty to mammon rather than God. Through vivid illustrations, including the story of John Harper on the Titanic, he calls Christians to fix their gaze on Christ, prioritizing eternal values over fleeting worldly gains, and to serve God alone as their master, ensuring their heart aligns with heavenly treasures.Verse References: Isaiah 55 verse 8, Romans 6 verse 16, Matthew 6 verses 19-24, Luke 12 verses 33-34, 1 Timothy 6 verses 10-11, Philippians 4 verses 11-13, John 12 verses 42-43, Matthew 10 verse 32, Colossians 3 verses 1-2, Luke 17 verse 32, Acts 16 verse 31Make sure you subscribe to this channel and follow us on all our platforms to always stay up to date with our latest content! And you can always head over to our website for any general information!https://godspeak.comPrayer/NeedsIf you have any needs, or have a willingness to be used to meet various need in the body, please email info@godspeak.com.
