This week at Mission Church, Guest Pastor Jason Battjes continues our series in the book of Matthew with a powerful message from Matthew 15:21-28. Jesus looks at a distraught, sinful woman and says, "Great is your faith." This leads to the question: How do we get a place where God looks at us and says, "Great is your faith"?In this sermon, Pastor Jason walks us through this answer as we examine 4 lessons in great faith. This week at Mission Church, Pastor J.M. Lee continues our series in the book of Matthew with a powerful message from Matthew 14:34–15:20. In a world where outward religion often substitutes for real relationship with God, Jesus reminds us that what defiles a person is not what's on the outside—but what comes from the heart. Are we settling for clean hands while ignoring an unclean heart? Are we trusting in routines, traditions, and performance rather than Jesus Himself? In this sermon, we see that Jesus doesn't just expose the problem—He offers the only solution: a new heart, cleansed by grace and transformed by His Spirit.Mission Church www.missionlasvegas.com.
Short commentary on the papal conclave, we then move back to Israel God's plans for the earth, the land, and the Kingdom. We step back into the Book of Matthew and note the Lord's message and mission in that book and we agree with the Lord's assessment: he was sent only to the lost sheep of the House of Israel and the Gospel of the Kingdom is for Israel alone. Yes, he is Lord of the Gentiles, but he is Son of David to Israel alone. #theologytalk

Even faithful followers of Jesus can face fear and doubt. In this week's message, Pastor J.M. Lee walks us through Matthew 14:22–33, where we find Jesus sending His disciples into a storm — and then meeting them there with power and compassion. When Peter begins to sink, Jesus doesn't scold him — He saves him. Because it's not the size of our faith that matters — it's the strength of our Savior. Take heart: I AM is with you.Mission Church www.missionlasvegas.com

At Redeemer, our pathway is how we seek to embody our vision and mission, or in other words, put it into practice. We desire every person to enter into intentional apprenticeship to Jesus, to be in a diverse, loving community, and to live in Wichita as witnesses. “The Church exists for nothing else but to draw men and women into Christ, to make them little Christs. If they are not doing that, all the cathedrals, clergy, missions, sermons, even the Bible itself, are simply a waste of time. God became man for no other purpose.” – CS Lewis At Redeemer, we take seriously Jesus' call to “Go and make disciples of all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.” Apprenticeship to Jesus is not a one time decision, but a lifelong journey of following Jesus as our master-teacher. Since the goal of the Christian life is maturity in Jesus, apprenticeship must be deep and holistic, transforming the spiritual, physical, emotional, social, and vocational parts of men and women. Apprenticeship to Jesus is learning to practice the way of Jesus in our homes, relationships, neighborhoods, and jobs. We believe Christlikeness is cultivated as we implement spiritual practices, live in community with other believers, and submit to the Word and the Spirit. We agree with Dallas Willard who said, “that the gospel is opposed to earning, not effort.” As we move towards cultivating a life of loving God and people, we trust Christ will mature us into his likeness. https://redeemerwichita.church/
"Who do you say I am?"It is important to know Jesus as He longs to be known. Join us in this study of Matthew Chapters 17-21. The Pharisees were so tied to their positions in society and their teachings, that they actually missed the living Word of God, and rejected the King of the Jews. Fishermen and even tax collectors found the Messiah as more learned men missed Him. Don't be one of the people who misses the richness of living in relationship with Jesus, the Son of God. In this week's message from Matthew 14:13–21, Pastor John Lee walks us through the miraculous feeding of the five thousand, reminding us that Jesus doesn't wait for us to be strong or ready—He simply invites us to bring what we have. Whether we feel overwhelmed, reluctant, or indifferent, the compassion of Christ meets us where we are and calls us into the mission of reaching others. Jesus is still multiplying what's surrendered to Him. What might He do with your five loaves and two fish?Mission Church www.missionlasvegas.com
This sermon from Mission Church explores the tension between human weakness and divine calling, as seen in the encounter between Herod and John the Baptist. While Herod was drawn to John's message, he was also ensnared by his own sin and fear of others. In contrast, John stood firm in the truth, even at great personal cost. Join us as we examine Matthew 14:1-13a and consider what it means to live with conviction in a world that tempts us to compromise.Learn more about Mission Church at www.missionlasvegas.com.

Remnant people understand the need to walk a crucified life. There's an awful lot of prosperity teaching out there. You know it and I know it. It's all over television and radio and it's all about what God is going to do for you and what God can do for me, and what God promises me. Me, me, me. I have news for you, it's not about you, it isn't about me, it's about Him, it's about Christ. We don't have to go chasing prosperity. Scripture says, may you prosper as your soul prospers. According to Wiersbe's Study Bible commentary, Jesus's Sermon on the Mount is one of the most misunderstood messages. One group says it is God's plan of salvation, that if we ever hope to go to heaven we must obey these rules. Another group calls it a charter for world peace and begs the nations of the earth to accept it. Still, a third group tells us that the Sermon on the Mount does not apply today but will apply at some future time, perhaps during the tribulation or the millennial Kingdom.
