What does it look like to be biblical and counter-cultural when it comes to walking in unity today? Conversations around race, tolerance, social justice, racial reconciliation, and critical theory can be challenging and confusing, but what does a biblical approach look like? In this podcast, Jonathan Morrow had a conversation with Monique Duson and Krista Bontrager, about their new book Walking in Unity: Biblical Answers to Questions on Race and Racism.Get a copy of Walking in Unity: Biblical Answers to Questions on Race and Racism Monique Duson is the President at the Center for Biblical Unity. She has a background in social service and children's ministry. She has worked with a diverse array of under-served communities. She worked as a Missionary to South Africa for over four years, serving children and teachers impacted by drugs, violence, and trauma. She spent two decades advocating for Critical Race Theory (CRT), but through a series of events, she began to clearly see the contradictions of CRT with the historic Christian worldview. Monique is now convinced that CRT is not the best way to achieve racial unity and actively speaks out against the use of CRT within the church. Monique has appeared on shows such as Relatable (with Allie Beth Stuckey), the Alisa Childers podcast, and Breakpoint (with John Stonestreet). Monique has a BA in Sociology from Biola University, and is pursuing an MA in Public Theology at Birmingham Theological Seminary.Krista Bontrager is a fourth-generation Bible teacher. She is an author, podcaster, former university professor and homeschool mom. Krista has a BA in Communications from Biola University, and a MA in Theology, and MA in Bible Exposition from Talbot School of Theology. She has worked for almost three decades in various capacities in theology and apologetics, and is the VP of Educational Programs and Biblical Integrity at the Center for Biblical Unity. She is working on a Doctor of Ministry in Apologetics at Birmingham Theological Seminary.

What does it really mean to follow Jesus? Through John Chapter 1, verses 35-51, we discover how Jesus's first disciples responded to His call - not with perfect understanding, but with willing hearts. This message explores how Jesus meets us in our questions, knows us completely, and invites us into authentic relationship.
Do we hear enough about the Judgment Seat of Christ where every Christian must give an account of how his or her life was used? Some theologies dismiss this judgment altogether seeing only one judgment called The Great White Throne. This results in salvation by works because that is the criteria for the GWT judgment. Even in churches and with preachers who believe in the JSOC, this event is not taught much. Maybe as a consequence many Christians live carelessly not knowing or caring that they will be held accountable by Christ. Charlie sits down with Dr. Paul Weaver to discuss this issue from Charlie's GraceNotes no. 105. This podcast is a re-broadcast of Dr. Weaver's Bible and Theology Matters podcast and YouTUbe video. The JSOC is for believers only; the GWT is for unbelievers only. It is crucial that Christians keep an accurate and applicable view of the Judgment Seat of Christ. Dr. Weaver served with Word of Life as dean in their Bible Institutes in Hungary and New York before becoming an Associate Professor of Bible Exposition at Dallas Theological Seminary. GUEST: BRAD KLASSEN, professor and teacher, Men of the WordYou've heard about “the war on men”. In fact, Owen Strachan, author of a book by that title was interviewed on The Christian Worldview on Nov. 18, 2023.Owen described how our society seeks to emasculate men in order to stamp out what they call “toxic masculinity”. At a more fundamental level, what animates this war is a rejection of God and his design and role for men. Instead of being the leaders, cultivators, and protectors God designed, men become passive, weak, and cowardly. The way back from this morass isn't as superficial as an in-your-face dressing-down by a drill sergeant or calls from the social media “manosphere” to “man up”. Nor is it as simple as engaging in manly things, like operating a chain saw or pumping iron in the gym.Our guest this weekend, Brad Klassen, Professor of Bible Exposition at The Master's Seminary and teacher of Grace Community Church's men's group “Men of the Word”, will explain how reclaiming Biblical manhood starts inside the mind and the heart. For when a man's mind is renewed according to Scripture (i.e. Romans 12:1-2) and when he is fueled by a love for God over himself and over the things of the world, God does a transforming work to make a man what He designed him to be.------------------RELATED RESOURCE:The War on Men by Owen StrachanRELATED PROGRAMS:Winning the Toxic War on Men with Owen StrachanGod's Call for Men with Travis Allen
