In this week's episode, we're talking about overachievement and perfectionism. We all love an ambitious queen, however, we also need to be mindful of how hyper ambition can manifest in many forms, into different aspects of our lives and the impact it can have on our mental health and well-being. As always, we will be keeping it real, relevant and relatable! Q.O.T.W: what’s an assumption someone made about you that isn’t true? In this episode I’m chatting with another old friend I haven’t spoken with in a long time: actor, singer, musician, writer, composer, teacher, all around superstar, Mr. Adam Magnacca! We begin by discussing our shared love of Toronto, or as the locals say it, “Terrano,” and he catches me up on all he’s been doing this past year. We continue to agree on almost everything, mostly our appreciation of slowing down and enjoying life’s little moments. For whatever reason, Adam has me cracking up over and over again as he mentions this simple but ever so true phrase: “it’s just life baby, it’s not that deep.” Enjoy!I wanted to take this moment to mention one of my favorite podcasts, Words that Move Me, hosted by master mover, Dana Wilson. Her latest episode, #55, will give you one creative, thoughtful, and sure fire way to KEEP your new year’s resolutions. She is inspiring and delightful and so dang smart, so please make sure you check it out!
It's a Snake invasion in SuperFlex City, in this pied piper episode! Jake “The Snake” Vines (@JSnake_DFF) of the “Snake in the Draft” podcast joins John (@SuperFlexDude) to discuss the fine art of trading, from conception to execution. The guys explore ways to find players to trade and players to target, without trying TOO hard and being TOO obvious! Plus, finding a trade partner and making an offer that makes sense for their roster, when to embrace a rebuild vs. when to mash the gas, the Quarterback X-treme (#QBX) strategy, and much, much more, on this week's art-of-the-deal episode! Episode 3 is here!, in which we take on the cult television series Neon Genesis Evangelion. A jungian nightmare of science fiction, alchemical personal transformation and esoteric imagery NGE is one of the least understood and under appreciated series not only within the anime community but within visual media as a whole. If looked at through the light lens it can put one the path to spiritual enlightenment but as a whole the anime community have shunned this series as it seems to directly take shots at its viewers and their philosophies regarding entertainment.

Do you remember Clare without "i"? She has featured on ZEP several times before. I wanted to give you a taste of her new podcast "It's Not That Deep" so I came up with an idea. Essentially, I took 10 minutes from one of her episodes and decided to pick apart the language for you with a special emphasis on pronunciation. If you like Doctor Who, then you will be pleased to hear that the chosen episode from Not That Deep podcast is about this popular British TV show. As for the pronunciation analysis, I will be looking at some individual sounds, stress, elision, and more. One more thing. I think I mistakenly called Clare's podcast Not That Deep, but it is in fact called It's Not That Deep. My apologies. _________________________________________________________________________________________ Facebook - join Zdenek's English Podcast Facebook group, like, share and comment on Facebook teacherzdenek.com - my website (work in progress) I-tunes - write a brief review on I-tunes and help more people find this podcast
