Diesmal entführt Anno und ins antike Rom, ein Setting welches ich persönlich sehr gerne mag. Die tolle Grafik und Detailverliebtheit unterstreichen dieses noch. Spielerisch fühle ich also Anno-Veteran mich direkt wohl und kann mir auch nur die Neuheiten erklären lassen. Also heißt es direkt losgespielt und stunden später erwische ich mich dabei, dass ich gar kein Zeitgefühl mehr habe, weil der alte Sog mich direkt gepackt hat. Die Wirtschaftskreisläufe und Wirtschaftsketten sind dabei grandios und vielfältig. Das Interface zeigt einem direkt, was man wofür benötigt, toll! Dabei gibt es als Neuheit jetzt die Wahl zwischen unterschiedlichen Ressourcen zur Erfüllung der Bedürfnisse. Eben so können wir das Startgebiet wählen, es gibt Latium und Albion, auch das lässt einem mehr Freiheit. Waren und Dienstleistungen haben jetzt Flächeneffekte, welche nicht zu unterschätzen sind und beim Bauen bedacht werden sollten. Das wirkt ziemlich realistisch. Als neue Ressource gibt es Glauben, welcher unsere Gunst bei den römischen Göttern erhöht und uns Vorteile verschafft. Mit Wissen schalte ich im Forschungsbaum Boni frei. Einziges Manko ist die Story-Kampagne, welche stark anfängt aber dann ziemlich abrupt endet, ohne überhaupt alle Mechaniken erklärt zu haben. Ansonsten schafft es Anno 117 eine grandiose Mischung aus Gewohntem und neuen Mechaniken und Freiheiten zu schaffen.

Fabian und Jan diskutieren den neuen Anlauf, der nicht mehr daran kranken wird, dass nur native Linux-Spiele auf der Konsole laufen, loten deren Marktchancen aus und spekulieren über den Preis. Dabei kann ein Blick auf die "DYI Steam Machine 2.0", wie sie Max zusammengesetzt hat, nicht schaden. Danach kommt das geplante Thema dieser Woche: Benchmarks zu Anno 117: Pax Romana. Und die sprechen eine deutlich Sprache: Es sieht gut aus, optisch und technisch. In Bezug auf die CPU-Anforderungen sogar richtig gut. Den neuen Ryzen 5 7500X3D braucht es für Anno 117 definitiv nicht - aber hat es diese CPU überhaupt gebraucht? Die Antwort der beiden fällt eindeutig aus. Viel Spaß beim Zuhören!

Anno treated his campaign like an open-source software project, publishing policies on GitHub and openly accepting "pull requests" from citizens. During the Tokyo campaign, his team received over 100 proposals and merged more than 80, continuously updating their 100-page policy book just like open-source software.Anno also details the technology that made this possible. His team created "AI Anno," an AI avatar hosted on YouTube Live that could engage voters 24/7, bypassing legal restrictions limiting human campaigning to 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. The avatar enabled two-way communication: citizens could see each other's questions, making it easier to participate, while Anno's team analyzed conversation logs to identify and address common concerns.For his national campaign, Anno's team scaled participation dramatically using Model Context Protocol (MCP). Citizens could simply converse with an AI, which would automatically generate GitHub pull requests on their behalf, removing technical barriers entirely. This approach gathered over 10,000 proposals, 100 times more than his first campaign in Tokyo.Critically, Anno made all of these tools open source, embracing openness as a core value and the most practical way for a small party to create systemic change. Politicians from other parties have already committed to using these tools in future campaigns.Jess and Anno discuss his mission for the next six years: using technology to enable large-scale deliberative democracy. Pechino sospenderà per un anno i limiti all'export di alcune terre rare, sebbene restino in vigore restrizioni introdotte in aprile.
