On this episode I'm talking with Kayte Ferris of Simple and Season. I absolutely adore Kayte's attitude to business and marketing. She takes a really slow and purposeful approach to business that really focuses on being authentic and soulful and having integrity. She encourages us to lean into doing more of what we feel is right for us as business owners, rather than being completely overwhelmed with all the things that we feel like we should be doing. We talk about how important it is to learn to trust yourself and your intuition as a business owner in order to have a business that feels really authentic. We chat about how to avoid overthinking, and overcoming perfectionism and Kayte share some of her tips about staying flexible and leaving room to grow and shift priorities in your business. In today's podcast episode we chat with Kayte Ferris from Simple and Season, a business coach and blogger who left the corporate marketing world and moved to Snowdonia in 2017. Since then she has helped over 100 creatives launch and build their businesses online, winning awards and launching a top-rated podcast along the way. Kayte's approach is all about creating a business that feels like you, ignoring the rules and should do's and trusting your soul. In this episode we talk about Kayte's approach to intentional business and slow marketing and what that looks like. We both share the belief in working from a place of intentional values and Kayte tells us how she's been able to craft a business that works well for her by staying rooted in those values. We also touch on whether business values and personal values need to be separate. I ask Kayte about being vulnerable in her work, and how to manage connecting with your audience in a way that is truthful. We talk about what success means and how business can function in a sustainable way. Today it’s just me, and I want to talk about the dreaded SALES. This is something that came up on a Q&A I did on Instagram Live recently, and it is generally just a perennial challenge for so many of us. Many of us feel deeply uncomfortable with the idea of selling, which of course causes one or two problems when you have a business and need to sell things. So today is a bit of a pep talk on changing that mindset and finding ways to sell that feel more comfortable.

My guest this week on the podcast is the wonderful Becky Avery, owner of Hazel & Blue - a Wiltshire based company making soy based candles and candle making kits that smell absolutely divine. Becky is someone who has always dreamed of having her own business. Before Hazel & Blue there were several other ideas but none that made it to fruition. But a perfect storm of falling in love with the candle-making process, hitting a milestone birthday and having time off for a major operation all combined to give her the push to launch her business and she hasn’t looked back since. I have been away from the Podcast over the summer and I am so excited to back in your headphones as we head into Autumn which is my power season.  It seems to be where my energy is unleashed.  For our first episode back, it is a bumper Q&A.  I asked my followers on Instagram to submit any questions, which I have covered in this Podcast.  

I wanted to talk about creating and selling digital products.  I know that digital products are are on a lot of peoples radar at the moment as they are touted  as easy/passive ways to make money while you sleep or do another job.  So for those of you who are playing round with the idea of a digital product then this episode is for you.    I have been running e-courses for over a year now and in the last month I launched two other digital products The Purpose Kit and my Online Workshops, so  I am going to share the leanings of all those different experiences.
