This is the last Love Tennis Podcast (sort of). As of next week, we will be Tennis Unfiltered. The OG fans will remember we started this podcast as part of Love Sport Radio, a now defunct radio station, and that's where we got our name: the Love Tennis Podcast, a sort of co-branding exercise. It stuck, and we never bothered to change it. But over time, we've realised that it didn't really suit us as a brand, or reflect who we are. So we've changed. We commissioned an amazing graphic designer called Luke to do all our new logos and banners, which look amazing, and one day you might even be able to buy a t-shirt with the logos on. (We have mock-ups, they look amazing.) Thank you to everyone who listened and contributed in 2022 - your downloads helped us pay Luke a proper wage to do some fantastic work. Not too much will change about the podcast: it will still be James, Calvin and George, talking nonsense. Hopefully it'll be better, the mailbag will be checked more often and we'll be even more successful in 2023. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

West Ham's performance in the 1-0 defeat to Liverpool at Anfield was encouraging, or at least that's what James thinks. Will, on the other hand, disagrees and was "angry" with the fact we didn't capitalise on Liverpool's poor form by converting at least one of the eight shots on goal we had. And then there's the win over Bournemouth, which ended up being more straight forward than we were expecting, albeit via a very dubious VAR decision going our way (for once!). Will thought Said Benrahma was once again frustrating in that victory, while James believes it was one of his better performances in claret and blue! What do you think? It's an episode that sees James and Will disagree on most things, which is reminiscent of the old Love Sport Radio days! Also this week, Will catches up with talkSPORT's Toni Afoke to discuss all things Manchester United ahead of our trip to Old Trafford on Sunday. The Silkeborg Opposition View is unfortunately exclusive to YouTube this week, so make sure you head over there on Wednesday for that one! Let us know your thoughts in the comments below and make sure you subscribe!

So it's the last show of 2018 - and indeed until mid-January dear listeners - as Achtung! Millwall takes up the European convention of a mid-Winter break.A vacation that in all honesty can't come quick enough after a GRIND of a performance against fellow strugglers Reading at The Den yesterday. Reduced to ten men, then nine, the Biscuitmen still managed to introduce the Lions to the sophisticated joys of passing to fellow members of their team - and eschewing the long diagonal ball to an M4 J13 equivalent of Tom Elliot. Anyway, a win is a win, is a win as they say - and this is indeed a results business as our manager Neil Harris has correctly identified. When a starving man finds food - or three points in our case - he doesn't worry about whether it's come from a Michelin starred restaurant or not...Thank you all dear listeners for your support, comments and feedback through 2018. I hope that you continue to enjoy the podcast and indeed the Love Sport Radio show each Friday night at 9pm. Huge thanks to Love Sport Aaron, Harry, Michael, Lucas, Danielle and Sam B for their help, support and laughs.Arrivederci Millwall - here's to 2019.Nick@CBL_MagazineCBLthemag@hotmail.co.uk Hosted on Acast. Another week, another late relinquishment of three points by the Lions. This time against Leeds, who managed to conquer their fear and do it anyway by prizing an 87th daisy cutter equaliser following Jed Wallace's 55th minute opener.Frustrating yes, but are we downcast? Not yet we're not. But we are reserving rights on that if we don't start creating more chances. Millwall's manic last four minutes of injury time showed the way forward when we deserved better than to hit the woodwork and go very close to snatching a result. As ever, please enjoy your live stream of consciousness responsibly. This edition does contain adult themes and references to the criminal Jimmy Saville from the very start - well it's a Millwall - Leeds fixture isn't it?Tune into Love Sport Radio next Friday night at 9pm, the podcast returns next Sunday in all its ragged glory. A fine first win of the season for the Lions over a somewhat disappointing Derby County side, managed of course by ex West Ham and Chelsea man Frank Lampard.Early goals from Jake Cooper (or was it Lee Gregory?) and Shaun Williams via a deflection were enough to settle the issue, despite a late rally by the Rams. Millwall's worrying habit of relaxing as the second half proceeds will need urgent training ground attention come Monday morning.Achtung! Millwall returns with the Love Sport Radio show 558AM - digital - online - on Friday night and, as the South Yorkshire Police have made next Sunday lunchtime's game an effective TV experience. In the words of George Harrison's 1970 triple album, ‘all things must pass'. And so it was (finally) yesterday, with the Lions 0-2 defeat at Middlesbrough. A defeat that all but ends the miraculous run of 2018 to the brink of the Championship play-offs, but no further now.To be fair, Millwall were outplayed at their own game by a very well prepared ‘Boro, overseen by the highly experienced Tony Pulis. Good luck to them, as the wins seals their place in the post season fight for Premier League status. For Millwall though, it's the bitter pill of a summer of ‘what ifs' that looms. As well as some serious decision making for the club as to how we push on from this season of high achievement. On this week's show we have three guests: first up is the MSC's Michael Avery @mavery1986 to chew over the aftermath of yesterday's loss at the Riverside Stadium. Secondly we have show regular Neil ‘Crazyhorse' Andrews @goalkeepersdiff arguing the case for the defence in the online trial of Jordan Archer and third we have Millwall fan on the board Micky Simpson @MillwallFotb discussing the continuing off field controversies with Lewisham Council.Support the Wonderwall Cup 2018 here - https://www.facebook.com/LdnMcr2018/Support Pat O'Connor's walk around the twelve grounds of London in aid of @islasfight fight here https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/pat-o-connor3Tune in to Love Sport Radio each Friday night from 9pm for the Millwall Fan Show https://www.lovesportradio.comArrivederci MillwallNick@CBL_Magazine CBLthemag@hotmail.co.uk Hosted on Acast.
