The Cinematic Flushers take on an evil Mexican biker gang that likes to get it on with unshaven nuns in this shameless Rodriguez/Tarantino grindhouse rip off. Should offend at least one person in your household, and most of the Catholic church.
This week Gill & Roscoe are joined by our dear friend Ross Gilchrist to celebrate our 25th episode and discuss the work of horror icon, Christopher Lee. We've carefully selected some of the finest pictures from Lee's vast filmography (or more accurately, we've watched any old nonsense we could easily lay our hands on from our collections), including "The Blood of Fu Manchu" (1968), "Dracula Has Risen from the Grave" (1968), "The Scars of Dracula" (1970), "The Devil Rides Out" (1968) and "The Wicker Man" (1973). Gill watched an astonishing 24 hours of Christopher Lee-related content this week, so I think you all know who your "Phone A Friend"'s going to be should Chris Tarrant ever hit you with a Hammer question. Along the way we also discuss current horror hit "Mama", comic books, video games and, unsurprisingly, a little bit of Lovecraft. If all of that wasn't exciting enough, we also received a lovely voicemail from indie-horror icon, Daytime Emmy winner and star of the internet sensation "Take This Lollipop" Bill Oberst Jr ("Abraham Lincoln vs Zombies", "Nude Nuns with Big Guns", "Excision")! On this week's very special episode of the Bodacious Horror Podcast, Gill and Roscoe are joined by award-winning actor Bill Oberst Jr. for a fun and relaxed chat about his career, the inspiration behind his work and his plans for the future. We discuss a number of Bill's movies including "Abraham Lincoln vs Zombies" (2012), "The Haunting in Salem" (2011), "Scary or Die" (2012), "Excision" (2012), "Nude Nuns with Big Guns" (2010), as well as a few short films including "Assassins" (2011) and "The Beast" (2012). Tangents are plentiful, touching on Star Trek, Newscasters and Simon Pegg's Chocolate beanie but we're glad to say that we weren't solely responsible this time! Sit back and enjoy a chilled out and fun conversation with a horror legend in the making. We had a blast and we hope you will too. A podcast about popular culture we kinda like, but more often than not, really hate. In this episode Damian Duffy, Jason Pankoke, and Eric Benson review the 2010 international blockbuster "Nude Nuns with Big Guns"
Don't miss this special episode of "Gregspeaks" as host Gregory D. Anderson Jr interviews Xango Henry who has exceeded and gone beyond the limits as an actor. With 17 films to his credit within one year, along with his brilliant performance in the controversial film, “Nude Nuns with Big Guns,” that has won over audiences at the March Du Film Festival in Cannes, Frances, has catapulted him to International Star status. Why is this multi-talented phenomena in demand? Xango has just landed a role in a new summer sizzle, “The Great Escape,” coming from Ron Howard and Brian Grazer, the creators of "The Amazing Race." The Great Escape is a reality show that will follow three different teams as they compete for cash in a variety of movie set locations, including castles, sinking ships and prisons which is due to air Sunday, June 24th on TNT at 10/9 central time. Xango's future is an ambitious one. He is firmly committed to his craft. As a multi-faceted talent, Xango is also a celebrity fitness trainer, community organizer and has honed his skills as a fine actor. Xango is definitely taking his vision to the top. Check out his magic at www.xangohenry.com. w
On this edition of the show it;s a city under seige, a vengeful nun, a myterious woman and a masterful magician. First up it's a trip to the dangerous streest of the Big Easy in my blu-ray review of Sinners & Saints (courtesy of Anchor Bay Entertainment) as a cop fights to keep the streets clean of drugs. The the war on drugs starts on another front with the dvd review of Nude Nuns with Big Guns (courtesy of eOne Entertainment) as a nun takes our her revenge on a system that almost killed her in this Grindhouse type action movie. It's off to the theatre as I catch the first non-Potter role for Daniel Radcliffe in the movie review of The Woman in Black in this very creepy new film from the house of Hammer. My audio book reviews continue with teh review of The Magician : Book 2 of The Secrets of The Immortal Nicholas Flamel by Michael Scott. Music for this episode features the songs New Gun by The Weedies, Blackheart Blues by Melissa Forbes and Haunted House by Ben Cooper, they can all be found at www.famemusic.com. Other instrumental music is by the band Mr. Burns (www.mrburnsmusic.com). As always your comments and suggestions are welcome and encouraged.
