Echoes of the late 20th century are all around us in 2019, especially in pop culture and media. Stranger Things, IT, and Bandersnatch have tapped into a rich vein of nostalgia that has entranced audience and permeated our time. Gaming, especially tabletop gaming, has been depicted as a vital part of 80s culture. In return, game creators are tapping into both the renewed interest in the hobby, and the evocation of nostalgia for this time period. In this panel we'll be exploring this recursive relationship with creators from Kids on Bikes and Rememorex. We’ll talk role playing and nostalgia, how to evoke an authentic sense of a time period, and what has drawn us as creators back to the past.

The lice outbreak continues to spread throughout the school, and a scientist comes to visit.

Maddie recovers from a terrible hangover. The races have begun, and everything gets a little..."itchy".

The gang takes refuge from the zombified cheerleaders at Maddie's house. Otis shows off his bug collection, and Maddie's mom finds herself in hot water.

Rader and Eisley head to the video store. Donna, Lauren and Maddie talk to Peter. Mr. Hanson asks the gang build a mailbox, and everyone sits down to watch a very strange tape.

The girls head to the mall in search for books on witches, exorcisms (sharks?) and find much more. Eisley makes a friend, and the all-day Smurfs marathon is suddenly interrupted.

The gang attend a birthday party at the Centauri Arcade.

The Rake is an infamous urban legend about an evil creature that preys on innocent sleeping victims. After they wake up and see it hovering over them at night, their doom is assured. A pair of post-grad students find themselves embroiled in a research project to find out the truth behind the story. What they find is far more insidious than they could have imagined. This scenario was run with the new 1980s horror RPG, Rememorex.

The stench of poorly aged spaghetti fills the cafeteria. The gang settles in for another day of lunch, and a "princess" makes a request.

Things take a drastic turn in the second half of this 80's suburban horror movie when Mooney turns out to be a lot more of a handful than JT, Keri, and Jess expected. Join Alan, Josh, Shannon, and Jake as they conclude this wild ride through Nerdy City's Rememorex.
