Ethan and his friend Derek discuss the sci-fi RPG The Outer Worlds. That's Outer WORLDS, not Wilds. It's an important difference! I mean, both of them are fine, but only one of them gets talked about on this episode.

Listen, and understand! The YumChunks are out there. They can't be bargained with. They can't be reasoned with. They don't feel pity, or remorse, or fear. And they absolutely will not stop... ever, until they are done talking! And they sure got a lot to talk about this week. So listen in if you want to live, as they discuss DIY escape rooms, the cosmic first person RPG The Outer Worlds, a look behind the curtain of high school stage production, the new Netflix docuseries Unnatural Selection, and of course, the sixth film (but somehow the 3rd sequel to T2) in the Terminator franchise, Terminator: Dark Fate. Mixed emotions and theoretical sequel ideas abound as the guys try and repeatedly fail to avoid bringing up Terminator: Genisys. It must be fate. Or is it? And with the holidays upon us, many exciting new episodes of After the Credits are on their way! So stay tuned, cause, we'll be back. (As directed by Paramount Studios, any discussion or mention of the Terminator film franchise must be accompanied by a direct quote somehow implying that a person or persons will, indeed, be back.) In this episode we have been playing a lot of Obsidian's new RPG The Outer Worlds and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare so we give you our review of both games. Also some Bethesda beef because they are greedy and out of touch.
Obsidian's all-new open world RPG The Outer Worlds is a blatant (and in some ways even shameless) ode to its 2010 cult hit Fallout: New Vegas... and it should come as no surprise that it's pretty damn good. So let's spend some time talking about why, and celebrate the many things it does so very right. But let's also not neglect the news! The Last of Us: Part II has been delayed, Ubisoft admits its recent critical and commercial reception has been tepid, Fallout 76 gets perhaps the most unpopular subscription service ever concocted, and WWE 2K20 is an unmitigated disaster. Plus: Audience questions! What's the specific definition of Metroidvania? Is 3D audio here to stay? Is anyone else experiencing inconsistent performance on PS4 Pro? Has Chris really never eaten corn-on-the-cob? All of that and more on the other side of the play button. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
In space, no-one can hear you scream obscenities at each other during a team deathmatch. This week the boys go all in on Obsidian's new shooter/RPG The Outer Worlds, surely the only brightly coloured space exploration game called "Outer W____" released in 2019, and Adam continues his acceptance of the yearly Call of Duty cycle as just being a part of his life with a review of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2019. We start this 87th Episode off with a game! Pick your Switch ports with the allotted point total per title. Let us know what you pick. Refer to our Instagram and Twitter accounts as a reference (@nofodcast). In News, PlayStation Vue may not be broadcasting much longer, Ubisoft and Sony delay some upcoming titles, Fallout 76 is going to start charging for requested features, and Mike Ybarra returns to freeze the competition. In Games Played, Richard continues to Awaken Link, Hunt Ducks on the NES with family, and begins the highly anticipated campaign in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. Cesar plays the true Destiny in Destiny Connect: Tick Tock Travelers, hops along in Songbird Symphony, and relives the tales of the legendary Sir Dan in Medievil. He joins Richard in the campaign alongside Captain Price in the new Call of Duty. Michael is back this week and has played a ton of stuff. He is unimpressed with PS4 release Concrete Genie, and starts Monkey King: Hero is Back as recommended by Cesar. He has impressions of GamePass title Felix the Reaper, manages a murder manifest in Return of the Obra Dinn and fires up his cheap pickup of Rage 2. He's traveled recently and made the time go by with The Witcher 3, Dragon Quest, an import copy of Yokai Watch and My Friend Pedro on Nintendo's portable/console hybrid Switch system. As we talk about the upcoming RPG The Outer Worlds, we tremble in fear before the omnipotent Todd Howard and his relentless quest to port Skyrim to everything - even his competitor's video games. We discuss why Karl Marx probably would have liked this game, the fate of poor Bobo, and why we hate commuting in video games. We hope you'll join us as we discuss the exciting new game that is coming out soon. Leave us your thoughts on Twitter or e-mail. It seemed that the Xbox One X would be the only console to support enhancements - specifically a 4K resolution - for Obsidian's upcoming si-fi RPG The Outer Worlds. Private Division has since clarified that both beefier current-gen consoles will get enhancements, but only the Xbox One X will have native 4K. E3 2019 is finished! More importantly, we have almost recovered from E3 2019. To celebrate their convalescence, Alice B and Matt piled into the podcast studio for a 40-minute post-show chat about their favourite games from the show, their thoughts on the many E3 press conferences, and why it's all a bit cult-like, really. Games discussed: Ubisoft's roller derby-derived future sport Roller Champions, Obsidian's stop-getting-the-name-wrong open world RPG The Outer Worlds, and the turn-based tactics of Desperados 3. Plus we talk about Keanu Reeves, inevitably.
