On today's episode  I start off with my weekend adventure by going to the malls of America in the search of Labubu's and its crazy to me because these things use to be in the pop mart vending machine not moving for $20 and now the prices have quadrupled. But i have found a seller but i ended up not taking the bite. Speaking of bite i ended up at a revolving sushi restaurant and it was a trap, a tease and confusing. I ended up having to tip a robot, and i do not know how to feel about it, it was not fun. Also while on a mall journey dace dance revolution seems to be America favorite pass time in the mall, its like people would rather do 4 moves for hours than go to the gym, it was pretty interesting to see.DIGABLE PLANETS - REBIRTH OF THE SLICKAB SOUL - ALL THAT(00:00 - 26:55)I have a new not so new segment which is about movie reviews and spoilers. This week i speak about  “Terminator Dark Fate” a movie that i feel was slept on, because it wasn't the worst one of the franchise. To me it would be 3 because the guy playing John Connor was whiny.  But back to the movie in this one Skynet never happens and we get an update on new robots. LIKE A DIABETIC ROBOT!!!! Yes you read that right the future is made of people like me. Also the best part was watching a robot pretend to be human. Check out what i had to say.(26:56 - 38:09)I then jump into The Cool Report  where i discuss a man taking his job too serious and shooting a man over burnt biscuits, and now he's going to have to mange his new shift in prison, and guess what the biscuits are burnt there too. From there we discuss once again an attempt to ban porn in the use again, i find it weird that they're attempting this again, who is really mad at the porn that they're watching. Then we get into the city gritty where we discuss Tory Lanez and the ordeal he just went through in prison, and the one question i have is how many stabs at it is it going to take to set him free in the real word not spiritually. (38:10 - 59:43)We then step into a segment where the listeners ask me 3 questions about myself or just randomness. A character asked if i heard the Freestyle heard around the world which i really called the hug heard around the world. This was like a battle rap with boundaries and friendliness it was type weird to me. Good lyrics but high key corny. From there a character brought to my attention things being said on the pod streets and i addressed it as nicely as i can. I won't be responding again. (59:44 - 01:15:23)Then we have 2 fans ask us a questions for PTL where we get asked the tough questions where we place ourselves in their shoes. Like is it okay for your partner to have a picture of another person besides you on their phone. My question is does the person looks better than you or worse? Only one way to find out, send me a screenshot. Another lover wants to spin the block on an ex but my question is are you the same beast and a different animal. It's a real question to ask one self and be honest with yourself. (01:15:24 - 01:24:52)THE FINi give thank to everyone that shows us love and wish y'all the best on the journey called life.(01:24:53 - 01:26:46)please continue to like, share, comment and subscribe.PEACE OUT!!!! For questions to be answered on Part time lover please email @nospecialcharacterspod@gmail.comTIME CODEINTRO/ WHAT'S NEW - 00:00MOVIE REVIEW - 26:56THE COOL REPORT - 38:10ASK ME A QUESTION - 59:44PART TIME LOVER - 01:15:24OUTRO - 01:24:53

A heartwarming story about redemption and drapery, with great performances, direction, story, action, and um.... Did you know there was a 6th Terminator movie? A lot of people don't. It was a proper sequel to T2, and it was incredible. 5 years ago, critics and audiences alike praised this movie, but... It doesn't seem to exist anymore. That all changes here and now.Mackenzie Davis, Natalia Reyes and Gabriel Luna are quite good at the core of the story, and then Linda Hamilton and Arnold Schwarzenegger show up to create a best case legacy sequel. It's time for us to finally have the conversation that needed to happen about Terminator: Dark Fate. Before we go on, where do you stand on bad guys that can turn their hands into swordy things? If that sounds like something, this is the movie for you. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

The Terminator Paradox Explained!

This episode of Does it Fly? is presented by Netflix, the exclusive home of Terminator Zero, starring Timothy Olyphant, Rosario Dawson, Sonoya Mizuno, André Holland, and Ann Dowd. Terminator Zero is now streaming only on Netflix.“Come with me if you want to learn.”OK, fine, that's not what anyone says pretty much anywhere in the Terminator franchise. But haven't you ever wondered just how some of the time travel concepts that set up one of the most successful and beloved sci-fi movie and TV franchises of all time work? This episode is really only dealing with the “grandfather paradox” as it relates to The Terminator (1984), James Cameron's original sci-fi horror masterpiece that pretty much strapped a stardom rocket to Arnold Schwarzenegger's back and helped redefine the boundaries of sci-fi and action storytelling on screen. It also kicked off one of the most sprawling and beloved science fiction franchises of a generation. Check it out here or on our YouTube page!SUGGESTED VIEWING While we're pretty much only focused on that first film for this episode, if you want to expand your Terminator knowledge, it can feel like a lot. When in doubt when you're navigating a big franchise that occupies different places on its own timeline, we always advise you not overthink it and just watch in release order. So we'll give you that along with some suggestions to make this as fun and painless as possible. The Terminator (1984)If you want a sci-fi action movie that's filmed with the pacing and sense of dread of a horror movie, you can't go wrong with the original. A legitimate classic of 1980s genre cinema, it has endured for a reason. If you only watch one movie in the franchise, this is the one!Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991)If you only watch one other Terminator movie, make it 1991's bigger and more technically groundbreaking sequel. For those of you who want a more summer blockbuster action sensibility as opposed to the first film's horror undertones, you can just go ahead and watch Judgment Day on its own, as it does an excellent job getting you up to speed even if you haven't seen the original. Bigger action sequences and some eye-popping special effects make this one essential viewing.Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines (2003)Probably not as bad as you've heard, but not exactly essential viewing either. This one builds out the lore of how Skynet rose to power and has a few bonkers battle sequences, but if time is of the essence, stick to the first two movies. It's also the first entry in the franchise that starts messing with the canon in ways that future installments try to smooth out.Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles (2008-2009)The franchise's first expansion into TV has a devoted cult following, and with good reason! Still, that's a lot of viewing hours, and it isn't strictly faithful to the lore of the series as a whole. This can be viewed as its own self-contained alternate timeline within the Terminator universe.Terminator Salvation (2009)Terminator Salvation is a direct sequel to the events of Rise of the Machines…and thus a prequel to the first film. And despite starring Christian Bale at the height of his stardom as John Connor, it's…well, let's just say it's not essential viewing. But if you're keeping track so far, the canonical events of the franchise go from the first three movies to this one…which depicts events prior to the first film. Got it? Good, because it ain't getting any easier!Terminator Genisys (2015)This one is essentially a reboot of the entire franchise and…you know what? You can skip it. Trust us.Terminator: Dark Fate (2019)Somewhat maligned upon release, but better than you've heard! We're back in alternate timeline territory, though, as this film ignores everything other than the first two movies and instead acts as a direct (if belated) sequel to Terminator 2: Judgment Day. Honestly, worth your time, especially if you're looking to condense the franchise to a more digestible three films (in this case The Terminator, Terminator 2: Judgment Day, and Terminator: Dark Fate)Terminator Zero (2024)Netflix is the exclusive home of this first animated Terminator outing, made by the same anime studio who brought the classic Ghost in the Shell to screens. Terminator Zero functions both as a self-contained Terminator adventure (meaning you don't necessarily need knowledge of the rest of the franchise to enjoy and understand it) and also as something that enriches the lore of the films. Lushly animated and boasting a cast that includes Timothy Olyphant, Rosario Dawson, Sonoya Mizuno, André Holland, and Ann Dowd, serious fans won't want to miss this.FURTHER READING Do you want to delve a little deeper into the facts, concepts, and stories Hakeem and Tamara referenced in today's episode? Of course you do! Grandfather ParadoxThe central concept of this episode and the one we wanted to explore the most! This article has the most succinct explanation of a rather headache-y concept we've ever seen. “...the idea that a cause must precede its effect. The paradox suggests that a cause is eliminated by its own effect, thus preventing its own cause and essentially becoming reverse causation.” It goes on to explain some of the other scientific concepts that inform this pretty well. For a little additional context, you can also check out this piece. The Bootstrap ParadoxThe other paradox that informs our discussion (and pops up often in pop culture time travel stories). Our question is…why is Northrop Grumman writing about this. WHAT DO THEY KNOW THAT THEY AREN'T TELLING US?!?Heisenberg Uncertainty PrincipleHey, remember this one from our episode on the transporter from Star Trek? John Connor is a fictional character and the male protagonist of the Terminator franchise. Created by writer/director James Cameron, the character is first referred to in the 1984 film The Terminator and first appears in its 1991 sequel Terminator 2: Judgment Day (T2). In the character's first appearance, John is portrayed by Edward Furlong as a child, and briefly by Michael Edwards as an adult in a small role. Other actors have portrayed the character in subsequent films, including Nick Stahl, Christian Bale, and Jason Clarke. In addition, Thomas Dekker portrayed John Connor in the two-season television series Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. The character serves as a protagonist in Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991), Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines (2003), and Terminator Salvation (2009), the antagonist of the film Terminator Genisys (2015), and has a brief cameo in Terminator: Dark Fate (2019) John Constantine (/ˈkɒnstənˌtaɪn/)[1] is a fictional antihero who appears in American comic books published by DC Comics. Constantine first appeared in Swamp Thing #37 (June 1985), and was created by Alan Moore, Steve Bissette, and John Totleben. The titular Hellblazer,[2][3] Constantine is a working-class warlock, occult detective, and con man from Liverpool who is stationed in London. He is known for his endless cynicism, deadpan wit, ruthless cunning, and constant chain smoking, but he is also a passionate humanitarian driven by a heartfelt desire to do some good in his life. Originally a supporting character who played a pivotal role in the "American Gothic" Swamp Thing storyline, Constantine received his own comic in 1988. The musician Sting was a visual inspiration for the character.[4] The Hellblazer series was the longest-running and most successful title of DC's Vertigo imprint.[5] Empire ranked Constantine third in their 50 Greatest Comic Characters of All Time,[6] while IGN ranked him number 29 in its Top 100 Comic Book Heroes, and the character ranked number 10 in Wizard's Top 200 Comic Book Characters of All Time. The character made his live-action debut in the film Constantine (2005), played by Keanu Reeves. On television, Constantine was played in the television series Constantine by Matt Ryan, who later reprised the character in the Arrowverse series Arrow, Legends of Tomorrow, and The Flash, and several animated productions. Jenna Coleman later portrayed a female version of the character (and her ancestor) in the television series The Sandman, adapting both Constantines' roles from the comic series. Some writers who have written his stories have claimed to "see" him.[4][7][8]

We review the latest (and hopefully last) attempt at a Terminator sequel. Terminator: Dark Fate (2019) brought back the original characters albeit about 15 years too late. It also introduced new players that failed to connect with audiences. In this episode, we suggest better movies including making Sarah Conner the central focus and a reboot/spinoff of the concept in a different time period.

It's a bulked-up triple dose of Arnold Schwarzeneggar as Will and Sam take on a franchise that keeps going back in time and changing its future.
