Adults and students alike are plagued with social media feeds of everyone else's best moments and highlights, perfectly cut and curtailed to LOOK amazing. As you scroll through, you wonder why YOU have to struggle so much when it seems like everyone else is flying. But this way of living is fragile and exhausting...and it's NOT the Gospel way. In this message, Max Vanderpool, explores what it means to be BORN AGAIN and how it's more than just going to heaven when you die.

Nicodemus Visits Jesus By Night.
In John 3 a Pharisee named Nicodemus comes to Jesus under the cover of darkness. He's nervous, curious, and unsure of just who Jesus is (though he confesses that he must be from God). This exchange, held so quietly and privately, became a powerful revelation of what it means to follow Christ and to fully embrace the kingdom of God.
"How do I know if I believe?" That's question Chris's son asked one night at bedtime. It is similar to the questions that many of us have asked. It could also be phrased as, "Where does a walk with God start?" In this episode, Pastor Chris Kipp teaches a message entitled "Starting Point" from John 3:1-21. This is the first message in a series entitled "Made For This." Throughout the message Chris uses the "3 Circles" gospel tool to equip us to share the starting point of our faith. God’s love is for everyone, even those who seem unreachable. The message of Jesus' love is more important today than ever before. Rather than being defined by what divides us, we must come together for what unites us. All are God’s creation whom He wants to have an everlasting relationship with. He proved this with the sacrifice He was willing to make so that you and I could be free of sin. For this is how God loved the World! Sermon Outline @ http://bible.com/events/48977812
We look at an encounter here that we don’t come to very often, but there is much to learn about our topic of questions, as the story is filled with them.

Your high opinion of Jesus isn't enough to save you. Your knowledge of Scripture isn't enough to save you. Only Jesus is enough. Those who are saved are not content to live in the shadows.

Nicodemus was a religious leader, but wasn't understanding what God was trying to tell him. Those of us who know Jesus as our savior, know that religion has nothing to do with it. Nicodemus came to Jesus by night because he was afraid to be seen with him. He acknowledged that Jesus was from God, called him a Rabbi and a teacher. He knew that Jesus was a good teacher. We were born sinners, we need to be born again, accepting Jesus as our savior. Repenting of our sins and asking Him in our hearts.

Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again." “How can someone be born when they are old?” Nicodemus asked. “Surely they cannot enter a second time into their mother’s womb to be born!” Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit. Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. You should not be surprised at my saying, ‘You must be born again.’ John 3 v3-7
