Care More Be Better: Social Impact, Sustainability + Regeneration Now
Human progress may be beneficial to human society, but it is usually achieved at the cost of the lives of other species. Corinna Bellizzi explores how we interrupt the movement and migration of wild animals with Hillary Rosner, a science journalist, editor, and author. Together, they discuss how human-made fences and borders, the privatization of land, and the displacement of indigenous stewardship hinder countless animals from moving freely from one place to another, leading to their dwindling population. Hillary also explains what it takes to create large-scale solutions to solve this ecological problem, and why it all starts with shifting our consciousness to see the world from an animal's perspective. Fascia is one of the most overlooked conversations in skin aging. We spend so much time thinking about collagen, serums, injectables, and trending tools, but very few people are talking about the structural system underneath the skin that influences how we actually age.If you are dealing with under-eye puffiness, jaw tension, posture changes, facial asymmetry, or feeling like your face looks more tired than it should, this episode explores a deeper layer of the conversation. We dive into fascia, fluid movement, breathing patterns, and why your neck and jaw may be playing a much bigger role in your appearance than you realize. In this conversation, we break down what fascia really is in simple terms and how it connects to collagen production, lymphatic drainage, nervous system regulation, and facial structure over time.Anastasia is a board-certified Structural Integration Therapist trained in kinesiology, facial muscle neuro rehabilitation, neurovascular release, myofascial release, traditional Chinese medicine, and acupressure. In this episode of The Bible in Song, hosts RD Fierro and Victoria K dive deep into the spiritual significance of the song "Never Too Late." They connect the dots between the very first moments of Genesis and the transformative power of Christian baptism. This teaching challenges the idea that we can ever be "too old" or "too far gone" to publicly commit to Christ, explaining that the same God who spoke light into the darkness of the void is the same God currently speaking new life into human hearts. -- We explore the "Grand Narrative" of scripture: Creation, Fall, and Redemption, and how every human life fits into this story. -- RD explains the concept of "Regeneration," describing how God acts at the deepest point of the human person to make a dead spirit alive. -- The discussion highlights the connection between the "light and water" of Genesis 1 and the "light and water" experienced during a believer's baptism. -- We address the common hesitation many adults feel regarding baptism, offering encouragement that it is never too late to follow the Biblical sacraments. -- The episode features a full playback of the song "Never Too Late," a lyrical journey from the dawn of creation to the personal moment of salvation. Scriptures for Further Study -- 2 Corinthians 5:17-18 -- Genesis 1:1-4 -- Genesis 1:20-28 -- Romans 8:18-22 -- Ephesians 2:1-2 This is episode 357. +++++++ You can find more information here: http://www.crystalseabooks.com/

Welcome to episode two of season ten of the Regenerative Skills podcast. As I mentioned last time, the show is changing this year: we're moving to two episodes a month, and I'll be alternating between two formats. The first is the panel conversations that have become a favorite over the last couple of years—three guests, three perspectives, one question that keeps surfacing inside the Climate Farmers community. The second format is what we're launching today: Deep Dives. These are my attempt to bring complexity back into regenerative agriculture at a time when the online discourse is increasingly dominated by slogans, hot takes, and click-bait certainty. In these episodes we'll weave narrative, investigative threads, and carefully chosen interview excerpts—not to land on a single “correct” stance, but to help you feel the texture of the problem and the tradeoffs behind each position. Today's Deep Dive is a question that provokes strong opinions for good reason: who gets to say what “regenerative” means? Rather than offering a definitive answer, I'm inviting you to sit with the motivations and incentives that shape any definition—whether it's coming from farmers, certifiers, nonprofits, corporations, or measurement platforms. You'll hear from Joao and Diogo of Monte Silveira in central Portugal—one of the first large farms in the country to achieve Regenerative Organic Certification—on why certification mattered to their market strategy without changing how they manage the land. You'll hear from Ana Digon of the Iberian Regenerative Agriculture Association on how organic standards became diluted and why her network built a farmer-led, principle-based definition to protect integrity. We'll bring in Benjamin Fahrer, who helped guide the ROC certification process and wrestles with who should have the authority to set standards, and we'll close with Phil Fernandez, who led Climate Farmers' MRV work and explains why definitions become unavoidable once monitoring, reporting, and compliance enter the picture. Along the way I'll name the many other perspectives shaping this debate online—from soil-health purists and carbon-first programs to agroecology, corporate “regen” initiatives, and the often-overlooked critique of appropriation from Indigenous and peasant traditions—and we'll end by pointing to the deeper issue behind the whole mess: the loss of relationship and trust in our food systems. Next month we go practical: measuring regeneration—what's worth tracking, what gets distorted, and how we stay grounded when dashboards start pretending to be truth.

Walking by the Spirit: A Life Shaped by God's WordShow: Anchored in the Word with Dave JenkinsAuthor: Dave JenkinsWebsite: Servants of Grace (servantsofgrace.org)Show SummaryOne of the most misunderstood ideas in the Christian life is what it means to walk by the Spirit. Many peopleassociate spiritual maturity with mystical impressions, inner voices, or new revelation. But when Scripture speaks of walking by the Spirit, it describes a daily life shaped, empowered, and governed by the Holy Spirit through the Word of God.In this episode, Dave Jenkins explains what it means to walk by the Spirit in everyday Christian living beginning with regeneration, continuing through Scripture-saturated obedience, opposing the flesh by Spirit-enabled power, producing the fruit of Christlike character, and keeping our focus on Jesus Christ.Audio PlayerVideo PlayerKey ScripturesGalatians 5:16–17Romans 8:5–6John 16:13–14Galatians 5:25Romans 8:13–14Episode NotesWalking by the Spirit begins with a new heart. Regeneration comes first—then transformation follows.Walking by the Spirit means living under the Word He inspired. The Spirit leads us into Scripture, not away from it.Walking by the Spirit means saying no to the flesh. The Christian life is lived in battle, not neutral.Walking by the Spirit produces Christlike fruit. Spiritual maturity is measured by likeness to Christ, not flashiness.Walking by the Spirit means keeping in step with His leading. Daily reliance on grace, a tender conscience, and steady obedience.Walking by the Spirit keeps us focused on Christ. Where the Spirit works, Christ becomes greater and sin is put to death.Full ArticleOne of the most misunderstood ideas in the Christian life—especially in the church today—is what it means to walk by the Spirit. You'll hear all kinds of things: “Let the Spirit speak new revelation into your heart,” “Wait for an impression before obeying God,” or “Surrender to a mystical experience.”But when Paul talks about walking by the Spirit, he's not describing mystical feelings or subjective impressions. He is describing a daily life shaped, empowered, and governed by the Holy Spirit through the Word of God.Galatians 5:16–17 says, “But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. For the desires of the flesh are against the Spirit, and the desires of the Spirit are against the flesh…”Romans 8:5–6 says, “For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit. For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace.”John 16:13–14 says, “When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth… He will glorify me, for he will take what is mine and declare it to you.”1) Walking by the Spirit begins with a new heartBefore you can begin to walk by the power of the Holy Spirit, you must be born of the Spirit. Regeneration comes first, and then transformation follows. The Holy Spirit opens our eyes to Christ, makes us alive to Christ, and joins us to Christ. He gives us new desires, writes the law on our hearts, and unites us to Christ alone.Walking by the Spirit is not something we do to become Christians. It is something we do because we are Christians—united to Christ by faith and indwelt by the Spirit.2) Walking by the Spirit means living under the Word He inspiredThe Holy Spirit never leads us away from the Word of God. Instead, He leads us into the Word of God. Jesus said the Spirit will guide us into all truth, and John 17 teaches that God's Word is truth. So walking by the Spirit means submitting to the Word of God, obeying the Word of God, delighting in the Word of God, and depending on the Word of God. The Spirit-filled Christian is a Scripture-filled Christian.3) Walking by the Spirit means saying no to the fleshPaul teaches that the flesh and the Spirit are at war. To walk by the Spirit is to actively oppose the desires of the flesh. The Spirit empowers us to kill sin, resist temptation, refuse worldly desires, and fight the impulses of the old nature. This isn't willpower or self-sufficiency. It is Spirit-enabled obedience rooted in the grace of God and revealed in the Word of God. The Christian life is not lived in neutral—it is lived in battle.4) Walking by the Spirit produces the fruit of Christlike characterWalking by the Spirit is not about spectacular gifts but about everyday, ordinary faithfulness to God.Paul doesn't say, “Walk by the Spirit and you'll experience dramatic manifestations.” He says, “You will bear fruit.”That fruit includes love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.The Spirit's work is to conform us into the image of Christ. This is slow work, steady work, and beautiful work. The real mark of spiritual maturity is not flashiness—it is likeness to Christ.5) Walking by the Spirit means keeping in step with His leadingGalatians 5:25 says, “If we live by the Spirit, let us also keep in step with the Spirit.”This means consistency—daily reliance on God, not occasional bursts of zeal.It means sensitivity to conviction, a tender conscience, a willingness to repent quickly, and dependence on the grace of God—knowing we can do nothing apart from Christ. It also means obedience to the Word of God, aligning your life with God's revealed will in Scripture. Walking by the Spirit is not unpredictable; it is steady, humble, biblically grounded, and obedience-filled by the power of God.6) Walking by the Spirit keeps us focused on ChristJesus said the Spirit would glorify Him. So the Spirit-filled life is a Christ-centered life.Walking by the Spirit is not primarily about the Spirit of God; it is about the Spirit pointing us to Christ from the Word of God.The Spirit opens our eyes to Christ in Scripture, warms our hearts to love Christ, empowers us to obey Christ, conforms us into the image of Christ, and anchors our hope in the return of Christ.Where the Spirit works, Christ becomes greater and we put our sin to death.Takeaways / Reflection QuestionsIn what ways have you been tempted to equate spiritual maturity with feelings or impressions rather than Scripture? What daily habits help you stay under the Word the Spirit inspired?Where do you most need Spirit-enabled strength to say no to the flesh?Which fruit of the Spirit do you most want God to grow in you right now?How can you keep Christ at the center of your walk this week?Call to ActionIf this episode helped you, please consider subscribing, or sharing it with a friend.

In this episode of Longevity by Design, host Dr. Gil Blander sits down with Dr. Louise Hecker, Associate Professor of Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine. Together, they dive into Louise's recent research exploring how psilocybin, the active compound in psychedelic mushrooms, may influence aging biology at the cellular and organismal level.Louise shares the story behind her curiosity about psilocybin, sparked by conversations with a friend and fueled by a lack of scientific answers. She explains how her team overcame regulatory hurdles to study the effects of psilocybin on human cells and aging mice. Their findings showed that psilocybin extended cellular lifespan and reduced hallmarks of aging, such as oxidative stress and DNA damage. In mice, regular dosing improved survival, reversed visible signs of aging, and affected organs beyond the brain. The conversation also covers the challenges of translating these findings into humans, the need for more research on dosing and safety, and the importance of funding in moving this field forward. Louise encourages listeners to stay curious, think beyond established paths, and keep an open mind as new questions and discoveries emerge in the science of aging.Guest-at-a-Glance
Last year, only 9% of Americans spoke to a farmer about their food. Evan Harrison, CEO of Kiss the Ground, is here to change that with an approach to regenerative agriculture designed to bring the concept into the mainstream through strategic storytelling. Its impact is already being felt. This year, Kiss the Ground has produced 400 pieces of content to reach 2 million people monthly, turning farmers into the real rock stars of the movement. In this conversation with Jennifer + Kati, Evan offers his data-driven approach to awareness building, how his music industry background at iHeartRadio and BMG shaped his nonprofit leadership style, and why leading with health instead of climate alarm is the key to resonating more and more. Being told your labs are “normal” and your cycle is still regular does not mean your metabolism and hormones are stable. Early insulin resistance can quietly increase inflammation, drive midsection fat gain, and accelerate skin aging years before menopause is officially diagnosed. In this Biohacking Beauty episode with Dr. Jila Senemar, we break down why regular periods do not rule out perimenopause, why building muscle is one of the most powerful metabolic tools in midlife, and how early testing like DEXA scans can reveal hidden bone loss long before standard guidelines would ever check.Dr. Jila Senemar is a board-certified OB/GYN with more than 20 years of clinical experience. Season 6, Episode 717: Discovering the Real Cure for Erectile Dysfunction with Jeffrey Nuziard of REGENmax, The 97.2% Solution to Erectile Dysfunction and Sexual Regeneration Blood flow isn't the problem—it's just a symptom. Jeffrey Nuziard, founder of Sexual Wellness Centers of America, reveals how his personal struggle with ED led him to develop REGENmax, the only patented cure for erectile dysfunction. His innovative approach actually regenerates tissue back to its prime (unlike pills that just mask symptoms temporarily). Want the video version? This comprehensive one-year protocol combines hormone optimization, regenerative injections, shockwave therapy, and laser treatments. What's remarkable is how the treatment addresses both men and women, since both genders have erectile tissue. Women experiencing clitoral atrophy or vaginal relaxation can benefit from similar therapies, essentially the same regenerative process. Jeffrey explains how modern sedentary lifestyles have created unprecedented hormone deficiencies, with thirty-year-olds now showing testosterone levels of seventy-year-olds. Yet he emphasizes that aging doesn't have to mean giving up on sexual health—some patients maintain benefits over a decade later. At 60, Jeffrey himself is healthier than he was in his forties through hormone optimization. Could restoring sexual function actually improve your overall health, energy, and mental clarity? In this episode, New York Times bestselling author and environmental thinker Paul Hawken explores the deeper story of carbon through his latest book, Carbon: The Book of Life. Moving beyond the familiar climate narrative, Hawken reveals carbon as the elemental force that animates all living systems—plants, animals, fungi, agriculture, and human life itself—and invites a more integrated, life-affirming relationship with the natural world. Founder of Project Drawdown and Regeneration, and author of influential works including The Ecology of Commerce, Blessed Unrest, and Regeneration, Hawken brings decades of insight into how re-imagining our relationship with nature can help shape a just, resilient, and hopeful future.

Advanced skincare routines are more popular than ever, yet dryness, laxity, and visible aging still persist. The issue isn't effort or discipline. It's that skin aging is being treated as a surface-level problem instead of a cellular and structural one.We dive deeper into this in the latest Biohacking Beauty Podcast with Jess Kane. We also chat about how cell membrane health shapes visible aging, why omega fats are widely misunderstood, and how most “liposomal” supplements never reach the cell.Jessica Kane is the Co-Owner and Chief Marketing Officer of BodyBio, a third-generation wellness company specializing in cellular health. She works alongside healthcare practitioners and researchers to translate complex cell membrane and lipid science into practical, evidence-based solutions. What's Discussed:(06:17) Why advanced skincare and red light therapy still fail without cellular building blocks(07:37) How low-fat nutrition and missing lipids weaken skin structure over time(09:55) Cell membranes explained as the foundation of skin barrier, tone, and elasticity(10:46) How phospholipids act as the “cement” between skin cells and prevent laxity(13:15) Why the omega-6 to omega-3 ratio matters more than taking fish oil alone(15:57) Why most phosphatidylcholine on the market is not truly liposomal(18:28) How “liposomal” labeling works and why most supplements fail cellular delivery(36:01) Why vitamin C and glutathione don't impact collagen without proper absorptionFind more from Young Goose:Find our Elastin Protocol here: https://younggoose.com/pages/elastin-action-protocol-landingFind our Winter Protocol here: https://younggoose.com/pages/winter-protocolVAMPIRE EXOSOMES → Professional Exosome Serum for Regeneration and Post-Treatment Recovery: https://younggoose.com/products/vampire-exosomesUse code PODCAST10 to get 10% off your first purchase, and if you're a returning customer use the code PODCAST5 to get 5% off at https://younggoose.com/?utm_source=podcast&utm_medium=appleInstagram: http://instagram.com/young_goose_skincareFind more from Jess Kane: Website: https://bodybio.com/Instagram: https://instagram.com/jesskaneInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/bodybio/Tiktok: https://tiktok.com/@jesskaneb

Pastor walks his children through Children's Catechism question 39—especially explaining how regeneration is when God exchanges your old, dead heart for a new, living one. Q39. What is a change of heart called? Regeneration. The lesson centers on the theological concept of regeneration as the essential, divine transformation of the heart. It emphasizes that regeneration—being born again through the Holy Spirit—is not a human effort or a result of faith, but the prior work of God that enables faith itself. Drawing from Scripture, particularly John 3 and the new birth, it argues that a dead and sinful heart cannot produce belief without first receiving new spiritual life from God the Father. Ultimately, the lesson affirms that only through this divine renewal can one be made holy and enter heaven, highlighting the necessity of God's sovereign grace in transforming the heart.

In this episode, Sean and James discuss the 1997 film Regeneration, a powerful drama set in Craiglockhart War Hospital during World War I. We explore how the film portrays the psychological toll of combat through the stories of Siegfried Sassoon, Wilfred Owen, Billy Prior, and the conflicted psychiatrist W.H.R. Rivers. Our discussion examines the movie’s themes of trauma, duty, and the moral cost of sending healed men back to war.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Tom and Chloe sit down with Clare from Planton farm to explore what regenerative agriculture really means. Drawing on Claire's journey from the conventional food industry into regenerative farming, the conversation explores why our current food system is under strain and how working with nature offers a viable, hopeful alternative.Together they explore soil health, livestock grazing, culture change in farming, and the realities farmers face when trying to shift away from extractive systems. From cattle as “ecosystem engineers” to the surprising role chickens can play in regeneration, this episode is a grounded, honest look at food, farming and the mindset shifts required to restore landscapes while keeping farms viable.Key topics & chapter markers[00:00] – Introduction and contextClare joins the podcast after visiting the Grange Project, sharing her background and passion for grazing livestock and regenerative farming.[03:56] – What regenerative agriculture actually meansA clear explanation of regeneration as the opposite of degradation – restoring soil, water, biodiversity and people – and why there is no single “recipe” for doing it well.[05:24] – Regenerative vs organic farmingHow organic and regenerative systems overlap, where they differ, and why organic certification doesn't automatically guarantee soil regeneration.[07:05] – The challenge of definition and greenwashingWhy regenerative agriculture lacks certification, how the term can be misused, and the importance of asking one key question as a consumer: what is this regenerating?[08:48] – Why the current food system is strugglingA look back to post-war agriculture, the drive for volume, the rise of chemical inputs and the unintended consequences for soil health, nutrition, biodiversity and resilience.[13:16] – Economics of regenerative farmingWhy high-input, high-output farming is hitting a ceiling, how rising input costs are eroding margins, and why some farmers turn to regenerative approaches for financial survival as much as environmental reasons.[15:02] – Culture change and farmer mindsetFarming as identity, pride and tradition – and why regenerative farming challenges deeply held ideas about tidiness, productivity and what “good farming” looks like.[20:28] – Roots to RegenerationClare explains the two-year Roots to Regeneration programme, designed to support farmers and food-system professionals through deep, supported transition rather than surface-level change.[24:23] – Cattle, climate and eating less but better meatWhy grazing animals can be central to regeneration, how grasslands co-evolved with ruminants, and why cattle can act as ecosystem engineers when managed well.[29:38] – Chickens in a regenerative systemExploring pasture poultry, nutrient imbalance, river pollution and why the current chicken industry is structurally broken.[36:07] – Interconnected roles on the farmHow chickens and cattle support each other through manure management, pest control, fertilisation and orchard grazing.[38:47] – The future of farmingRegenerative agriculture as a potential fifth agricultural revolution, the rise of eco-literacy and a vision of farming that is more resilient, humane and joyful.About the guestClare is a regenerative farmer and food-system specialist based in Shropshire. It's Valentine's Day, and while we don't usually shape our work around holidays, this one felt different because we're not just co-founders of Young Goose, we're life partners. For us, care has always shown up in daily choices and consistency, the same philosophy behind how we think about skin longevity. In this special episode, we flip the format and recommend ingredients to each other based on real-time skin needs. We get into methylene blue, NAD support, ectoin, retinol, and repair-focused actives through the lens of cellular energy, inflammation control, repair, and long-term resilience. If you're listening on Valentine's Day, we're honored you're spending it with us. And if you're tuning in any other day, we're just as glad you're here. Either way, this conversation is about care that lasts and the small, intentional choices that add up over time. What's Discussed:(03:38) Why this Valentine's episode feels different as co-founders and life partners(06:11) Recommending ingredients based on real-time skin needs, not bias(12:38) Methylene blue, red light synergy, and mitochondrial skin energy(17:04) NAD support as the currency behind repair and long-term resilience(20:49) Ectoin, deep hydration, and protection from blue light and pollution(25:10) Retinol results, limitations, and why peptide alternatives matter(27:36) Sun exposure, oxidative stress, and the missing piece of post-UV DNA repairFind more from Young Goose:The Elastin Action Protocol → Engineered for Skin Navigating Elasticity Change The Winter Skin Protocol → Build for How Skin Actually Behaves in Winter VAMPIRE EXOSOMES → Professional Exosome Serum for Regeneration and Post-Treatment RecoveryUse code PODCAST10 to get 10% off your first purchase, and if you're a returning customer use the code PODCAST5 to get 5% off at https://younggoose.comInstagram: @young_goose_skincare
Ryland Engelhart is co-founder & chief mission officer of Kiss the Ground and he's also been behind the scenes working hard to get regenerative solutions into places that normally would love to ignore natural solutions, BUT he is a charmer - his earnest love for life and others reaches people from all walks of life. I deeply appreciate the work he is doing - it is for many folks impossible to fathom dealing with the folks in DC. I appreciate his story and perspective on MAHA and his work to include regenerative agriculture and health in this space. This is a conversation we had for R-Future 2026, but I felt like it was important for this message to get out to a broader audience, so I'm sharing it here. I've known Ryan for many years - I did an event with Kiss the Ground that essentially acted out my book the 5 Steps to Regenerative Lifestyle with 5 different speakers in 2018 - I did this again with different speakers at Golden Coast Mead later that summer. Please remember this is about health: clean food, clean water, clean air, healthy soils, and real medicine not the current moneymaking machines disguised as that, so please leave the politics out of it and know that I believe in us - our communities online and locally - we are the force that will make the changes needed for a regenerative future to happen and I know we can do it. It has to be grassroots to be lasting, but in the end we also have to protect those grassroots movements from things like when they outlawed biodiesel and killed an entire incredible industry, bans on rainwater-harvesting or gardening, etc., so we need to protect by sharing the will of the people loud and clear so we can protect the progress we innovate as a community, so I feel like I can stand in the grassroots space and lift my end, and I thank Ryan for standing in many places including spaces I do not go and lifting us all higher so we all can have more "room" to grow regeneratively. Gary continues his interview with artist Dan Riedel about his friendship with Dr. Cornelius Van Til. Far from being a cold academic, Dr. Van Til was a warm, caring individual that wanted to see people come to Christ. He was every bit as much an evangelist as he was a professor. He well understood that the end goal of apologetics was not to win an argument, but a human soul. Check out Dan's artwork here: http://danielhillriedel.com/

Skin problems are often the body's earliest warning sign that detoxification, inflammation control, and nutrient absorption are already compromised. When detox demand rises and recovery systems can't keep up, skin changes and aging-related signs become more pronounced. In this episode of the Biohacking Beauty Podcast, we sit down with Marina Moiseyeva to explore why medications and aggressive topicals increase detox load, how sweating and lymphatic movement support skin longevity, and why “Ozempic face” is driven by muscle, bone, and nutrient loss rather than fat alone.Marina Moiseyeva is a Functional Medicine Practitioner and Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner with 16 years of clinical experience. Paul Hawken is a brilliant thinker, author, activist, and elder who masterfully distills wisdom about our planetary home. I remember hearing Paul's 2009 commencement speech called "You Are Brilliant and The Earth is Hiring" where he said "You are going to have to figure out what it means to be a human being on Earth at a time when every living system is declining and the rate of decline is accelerating." Paul is the author of nine bestselling books including 'Drawdown', 'Regeneration', and his latest book 'Carbon, The Book of Life'—an incredible book that came out in 2025 and masterfully distills endless planetary wisdom into simple truths we all need to hear. (I included it in 'The Very Best Books I Read in 2025.') Grab a seat between us and let's talk about how nature cooperates, why fighting climate change is the wrong metaphor, why the climate crisis is a human crisis, how jargon disconnects, and what decades of activism have taught Paul about being human. This conversation with a sage of sages stuck with me and I think it'll stick with you. Let's flip the page into Chapter 157 now ...
