You've got to work while you wait. Have patience, but remain in consistent action to get what you want. ㅤ ... ㅤ Edited by: @benlionelscott Spoken by: Seth Godin, Andy Frisella Footage by: Jacob Appet, Keagan Karnes, Eike Frederik Schulz, Sister — Agency, ArtOfficial Agency CPH, Conductor Productions, A2F Pictures, Jeremy Pinckert, Ben Caird, Kevin Stewart, The OnOFF Company, Nathan Besse, Nickolas Shawn, RoBeR, Oliver Stumpf, Ricardo Birnbaum, Michael Newman, Jerry J White III, Fran Mendez, Jimmy Negron, Andrew Butte, Spencer Nelson, Mike Hart, FPS PRODUCTIONS, Specular Music: Steve Jablonsky - Battle ㅤ ... ㅤ The myth of the overnight success is just that, a myth. You have to understand that no matter what you do time is going to be a factor. You guys are 1 of 2 ways, you either understand patience and you kick your f*cking feet up and you don't do sh*t, or you do everything you can for 2 months time and then you say it's not working. And both of those are wrong. You've gotta understand aggressive patience. Aggressive patience is this, I understand it's going to take time but I also am going to be aggressive about everything that I do to make that point happen. I am going to literally do every single thing I can do to expedite that process with urgency. You will never win at the highest level until you can hold 2 competing ideas in your head, and here are the 2 ideas. Idea number one, this is gonna take me 10 years. Idea number two, I'm gonna make it f*cking happen today. And I'm gonna ask myself everyday why didn't it happen today? What thing did I not do? What skill set am I missing? What am I gonna have to do? What's the next massive leap forward? But it's going to take 10 years, an only actually going to happen for me if I'm going all out everyday like it has to happen right now. Doing things that matter take time, doing things that are great take time, doing things that are gonna get you f*cking paid take time. And you can't get around it, you can't outwork time, you can't change it, you can't do anything about it. It's just going to take time. And if you can understand aggressive patience, and you can put it into play in your life, you can not only achieve everything you wanna achieve, but you can do so with a sense of calm, with a sense of competence, with a sense of certainty that your life is gonna turn out the way that you want it to. It takes faith. You have to trust that things are going to happen. At the end of the day if you go to bed at night and sleep good knowing you have every f*cking day your all, you can feel good that things are going to happen. If you can understand that it is going to take a long time, and during that time you are going to have to do absolutely everything you can, you cannot be anything else but successful.
You can be distracted or you can get epic work done, you can't do both. ㅤ ... ㅤ Edited by: @benlionelscott Spoken by: Mel Robbins, Robin Sharma, Dale C. Bronner, Jocko Willink, Brendon Burchard Footage by: Bradley Credit, Emanuel Hahn, Spencer Nelson, Mark Parrott, Matthew Laeng, William Giaimo, Dane Holroyd, William DeSena, Andre Rehal, Jonathan Pope, Morgan Cooper, Filmpac, Ivan Cash, Elle Ginter Music: Really Slow Motion - Transhuman ㅤ ... ㅤ None of us wake up and say, today is the day I destroy my life. What we do is we make these teeny tiny decisions all day long and we don't even realise it. All day long these tiny decisions that take you so far off track. And then you wake up like I did, and you look at your life and you think, how the hell did I get here? And you have no idea. It has never been so easy to spend the best hours of your days chasing distractions. You can be distracted or you can get epic work done, you can't do both. Some people, they can't focus anymore. The victim is addicted to distraction. The leader is monomaniacaly focussed on a few things. So they do not dilute the bandwidth of their focus, their energy, and their potential. I'm suggesting to you, you don't build a wide life, and you don't build a wide career, but you go really really deep. You got to stay in your lane. You gotta keep the main thing the main thing, you got to stay on your mission and not be distracted. You know what you have to do. You're paid to be where you need to be, and don't let anybody distract you from getting your job done. You're paid for what you do and for what you produce, and not for what you're distracted from doing. Divorce yourself from the heard. Get serious about this. This is your game. This is your life. And before you know it, you will be at the end, we all know that life goes by in a blink. Start the process of breaking your addiction to distraction today. Think about where you spend your time. Is it being wasted or is it being utilised? Handle the stuff in front of you, and find every area of your life where you're just like, gosh, I'm spending a lot of time doing this stupid stuff, and get rid of it. So you end up just wasting no energy on things that don't matter, and focussing all your energy on things that actually matter. When you understand that you always have a choice to go from autopilot to decision maker, everything in your life will change. Because you will realise the amount of garbage that you put in the way of your hopes, of your dreams, of your potential. Everything comes down to the decisions that you make.
For many of you, contributing to an IRA yearly is a challenge. If you make too much money the tax advantage of contributing to an IRA disappears. You’re taxed when you put it in and then again when you take it out. It seems as though when you make too much money the door is closed to planning for retirement in a tax advantaged way . . . or is it? In today’s podcast we discussed a government legal loop hole. It’s called a backdoor ROTH IRA. It allows you, if done correctly, to save for retirement and avoid the taxes on the backend. Spencer Nelson, our resident financial planning guru, explains the whole process in this week’s podcast. We have been setting up these backdoor ROTH IRA’s for many of our clients. If you’re wondering if it’s right for you, email Spencer at email@example.com. Here’s to wise investing AND financial planning, Iron Gate Global *This strategy is not for everyone. What is enslaving your thoughts? We're all going through a battle in our mind. The biggest war you'll ever go through is right between your own ears. We're all going through a war in our mind, and we have to callus our mind to fight that war and to win that war. Our whole life is a set up in the path of least resistance. We don't want to feel discomfort. So the whole time, we're living our lives in a very comfortable area. There's no growth in that. You have control over your mind, you just have to assert it. You have to decide that you are going to be in control, that you are going to do what you want to do. Don't let your mind control you, control your mind. Weakness, doesn't get a vote. Laziness, doesn't get a vote. Frustration, no vote. Negativity, they don't get a vote. The next time that you're feeling weak, or you're feeling lazy, or you're feeling soft, or you're feeling emotional, tell them they don't get a vote. Impose the discipline, and the power, and the positivity, and the will. And use that mind control to move your life where you want it to be. And then And then And then how you gain mental toughness, how you become the person you want to be, is constantly facing the things that you don't want to face. Once the mind knows you're not going to quit something, you're not going to take the path of least resistance, you're going to stay here until it's done, it's gonna try find more. Don't shape yourself around the comings and goings of this world. Because there's gonna be a blessings, there's gonna be opportunities, oh yes there's gonna be some struggles, there's gonna be some challenges, there's gonna be some tests, but even the struggles are an opportunity for me to show off the victory if my mind can handle the change. be not conformed to this world, but be ye transformed. As soon as you decide to stop looking for answers in other people, and miracles somewhere down the yellow brick road, and click the heels of your mind, you could have been free years ago. If you can get your mind out, no devil in hell, no weapon formed against you, no enemy that hates you can stop you from being free. You are the master of your own mind. Create that masterpiece. Be proud of yourself at the very end of it all.
