"Observation" tells the story of a man called Mik, who volunteers to take part for the second time, in an incredible experiment which takes a persons consciousness and sends it across the solar system to different worlds. To observe the universe and prove humanity is not alone. But with some unpleasant side effects. Although Mik is drawn by a sense of duty to serve for the betterment of science and the exploration of space, his relationship with his girlfriend Kessy is falling apart as she tries exhaustingly to talk him out of it, telling him that the second Observation will most surely kill him. Tape 3Ollie is a simple man who enjoys the simple things in life, or tries to. As Ollie lives with immense dread everyday of his life. But after meeting a stranger in a bar that shows him an interdimensional being living on back who might be the source of his dread, Ollie works together with a man called Tobias Barnes and a nurse called Aurora as they all seek to remove it from Ollie's body completely and try to discover the truth of what these beings want with humanity.

Tape 2 Jordon and Sam are brothers who assists a Doctor Benway in his experiments to find a cure for a Vampire-like disease that's causing chaos and panic within the city. Sam thinks nothing of Doctor Benway's experiments, but Jordon thinks the doctor is not to be trusted. But after being part of an experiment, they both start to realise the dark truth behind the doctors actions.

Tape 1David just goes about his job as an astronaut like any other day as part of the colonisation of the Moon. But a serious malfunction causes damage to two satellites, the Norton and the Ralph 13 and David sets off to repair them both before they crash, all while David revisits his troubled past with his estranged father and his decision to become an astronaut that has brought him to this very moment.

Tape 4Jake is about to leave his volunteering job at the planetarium and go off to college, but attends a party held by his friends to celebrate is time there at the planetarium. However, this going away party also serves as a big reveal party of his friend Louie who believes to have discovered the very reason for humanity's exitance in the universe from a collection of mysterious and unknown star charts he's been researching in secret. As the party goes on, Jake soon realises, something is very wrong.
