Ellory Smith is an Emmy nominated Writer and Standup Comedian in Los Angeles. Original from Upstate New York, Ellory got into comedy over a decade ago cutting her teeth in New York and Boston before moving to LA where she's been performing and writing for the last 7 year. Joel Morris is a multi-award winning comedy writer, and a contributor to the widely beloved Paddington films. Rick Mitchell talks with me about his fatherhood journey. He shares the values he looked to instill into his daughter. In addition, we talk about the life lessons his daughter has taught him. At the time, film was not offered as a major, so Rick took it up on himself to create his own. While in college, Rick started performing stand-up comedy. Over the years, he's performed at many clubs including The Improv, The San Francisco Punchline and The Ice House. He's worked with many amazing comedians including Sarah Silverman, Robert Schimmel, Maria Bamford and Emo Phillips. In 2005, Rick graduated from Loyola Marymount University with a Master of Fine Arts in Screenwriting. That same year, he was accepted into the prestigious Warner Bros. Comedy Writer's Workshop.
