Do zdravotníctva prúdia miliardy, pacienti so vzácnymi diagnózami ale zostávajú uväznení v sieti byrokracie či lobingu. Lukáš Hrošovský je jednou z tvárí boja proti systému liekov na výnimky. Hoci čelí mašinérii, ktorá jeho prežitie vytlačila až do sféry charitatívnych zbierok, rolu obete odmieta. Prečo sú v tomto štáte vážne chorí ľudia odkázaní na charitu a pouličné zbierky? Do slovenského zdravotníctva smeruje ročne zhruba 10 miliárd eur. Napriek tomu sme krajinou, kde sa internet zmenil na akýsi veľtrh bolesti, utrpenia, strachu, ale aj nekonečnej nádeje a viery doslova v zázraky. Zbierka za zbierkou: O vlastné životy, či aspoň o svoje zdravie či ako tak dôstojný život. Matiek, otcov, ale dokonca aj detí.Raz je to zbierka pre mamy s deťmi, ktoré hľadajú peniaze na lieky, ktoré im zachránia holý život, po nich zasa nasledujú zbierky pre zdravotne veľmi vážne ohrozené deti alebo sú tu i zbierky pre ľudí, ktorí sa snažia pozviechať sa zo život ohrozujúcich ochorení, úrazov či aspoň - napriek zdravotným hendykepom, žiť život, ktorý by sa dal nazvať ako tak dôstojným a zmysluplným. A napokon, pre tento štát i ekonomicky prínosným.Je to priam nekonečná prehliadka bolesti, utrpenia, ale aj nádejí a nekonečnej viery v dobro ľudí. Otázka však znie. Kde je vlastne tých zhruba 10 miliárd, ktoré nám cez dane a odvody štát vezme do zdravotníctva a ako to, že toľkoto z nás musí - i napriek povinnému solidárnemu systému, až nedôstojne pýtať peniaze na to, aby sme vôbec prežili, či aspoň žili ako tak dôstojný a ľudsky udržateľný život? A je v poriadku, že i v tejto realite môžu mať zdravotné poisťovne zisky?Slovenský systém výnimkových liekov už celé roky zlyháva a pacientov so vzácnymi diagnózami stavia do úlohy rukojemníkov byrokracie, chladných rozpočtových škrtov, ale i nejasných a neraz diskriminačných kritérií. Kým inovatívna liečba dokáže zastaviť progresívne ochorenie, naše zdravotné poisťovne ju často odmietnu preplatiť, čím chorých vyháňajú na charitatívne portály žobrať o vlastné životy či zdravie. Je tento prenos zodpovednosti zo štátu na občana vôbec udržateľný a kto ponesie zodpovednosť za tých, ktorí na internete „nevyzbierajú“ dosť aby prežili?Jedným z prípadov tejto svojvôle a priam ambasádorom tých, ktorí sa v tomto súboji čísiel verzus ľudskosť bijú o vlastný život je Lukáš Hrošovský. Tomu tento štát už roky odkazuje, že jeho život je pre nás “príliš drahý,” do systému sa proste akosi nezmestí a ak chce prežiť, musí o svoj život prosiť nás všetkých.Ako sa s týmto bremeneom dá žiť, kde v tom hľadať nádej a vieru v ľudské dobro a ako práve on vidí zlyhania systému našej zdravotnej starostlivosti? No a napokon, pre koho je vlastne tento štát, ak nie je pre nás - zvlášť, keď máme nejaký vážny zdravotný problém?Tento štát šetrí na výdavkoch na výnimkové lieky, tvrdí zdravotnícka analytička Jana Ježíková. In conversation with Drew, Matt reflects on this moment of transition and the thoughtful leadership handoff shaped by Raz and Liza Ingrasci. Their generosity, wisdom, and long-term vision laid the foundation for what Matt terms “Hoffman 3.0.” It’s an evolution rooted in continuity, care, and purpose. Hoffman 1.0 was the creation and first few phases of this powerful work by Bob Hoffman. The Hoffman Process started in Bob's office in Oakland, California, in 1967. He shepherded it through its first iterations, beginning with one-on-one clients, then a series of weekly group classes, and finally the week-long Process we know today. Hoffman 2.0 began with Raz and Liza establishing the Hoffman Institute and creating the non-profit it is today, increasing capacity so more people could attend the Hoffman Process. They laid the foundation for incredible growth and transformation. Now, on that strong foundation, Hoffman 3.0 takes flight. Matt steps into this role after 18 years at the Hoffman Institute, serving as both teacher and leader. Before Hoffman, Matt served in the military. He deployed to Iraq shortly after completing the Process in 2004. For more than two decades with Hoffman, Matt has lived and honed a life of service and leadership. Currently, he’s a doctoral candidate pursuing a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology. Matt brings a steady, embodied presence to this new Hoffman era. In this episode, Drew and Matt discuss the legacy of Raz Ingrasci, founder of the Hoffman Institute Foundation. We recorded this conversation on December 19. With great sadness, we share that Raz passed away unexpectedly on December 31. This was the same day he formally stepped back from his day-to-day role at Hoffman, alongside his wife, Liza. More about Matt Brannagan: Matt Brannagan is the Chief Executive Officer of the Hoffman Institute Foundation. He joined the Institute in 2007 and has previously held the roles of Chief Operating Officer and Director of Faculty, in addition to serving as a Teacher and Coach. Matt is a retired veteran and former Master Resilience Trainer for the U.S. Army. He is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Clinical Psychology and holds both a B.A. in Sociology and an M.A. in Transpersonal Psychology. Matt learned of the Hoffman Process at the age of 20 after recently completing three years of active military duty. While examining his direction in life, he was inspired by those he met who had attended Hoffman. It became the logical next step on his growth journey, and he completed the Hoffman Process in 2004, unexpectedly being deployed to Iraq shortly after graduation. While holding a senior role in his unit, it was his Hoffman community that challenged him to continue his personal work during that crucial time, and he enrolled in Hoffman teacher training shortly after returning home. Extensive leadership training allows Matt's work as a Hoffman faculty member to be grounded in clarity, compassion, and accountability, led by the belief that organizational culture is strengthened when people feel empowered, supported, and connected to purpose. In his work with students, “I love that moment when it all clicks, and the students begin to take on the tools and practices for themselves. They offer such great insights, and I get to deepen my learning as I teach.” Committed to guiding Hoffman's evolution, Matt is focused on ensuring sustainable long-term growth. Nem sempre dá pra explicar.Veja a pergunta do salmista no Salmo 42, verso 5: "Por que você está abatida, ó minha alma? Por que se perturba dentro de mim? Espere em Deus, pois ainda o louvarei, a ele, meu auxílio e Deus meu."O salmista pergunta à sua alma sobre a razão de seu abatimento. Sua conversa é interior, profunda.Mas o uso da pergunta não é porque ele quer saber o motivo da tristeza. Ao olharmos para o salmo percebemos que independente do motivo, ele espera que sua alma não se abata, afinal, ela deve esperar em Deus. Ele não busca a razão para a tristeza, mas julga se realmente deveria estar triste e abatido.Por vezes você procura e encontra alguns motivos para o seu abatimento e tristeza. Talvez tenha sido uma palavra que te foi dita, ou por não conseguirmo prosperar em determinada área. Razões podem até ser encontradas, mas razões não precisam virar justificativas.Assim como fez o salmista, você precisa aprender a confrontar tais razões olhando pra Deus e confiando Nele. Mesmo encontrando razões, você não precisa se esconder atrás delas.Se pra você, o Senhor é poderoso, questione sua própria alma sobre seus sentimentos. Não se permita ficar prostrado e abatido.

Todo sucedió una madrugada en que se dirigía a ver a su familia en un apartado pueblo llamado Mahzucil, ubicado en el estado de Yucatán.Uriel iba conduciendo su motocicleta. Era una noche tranquila, hasta que tuvo que tomar una desviación en la carretera y adentrarse en un desolado camino que atraviesa el monte.Estos caminos son tan estrechos que en determinados segmentos muy apenas logra caber un vehículo, y aparte suelen estar cubiertos en ambos lados por una vegetación tan espesa que impide la vista a los costados y no dejan espacio para orillarse. Ahí no hay ningún tipo de iluminación, por lo que en la noche se vuelven realmente oscuros.En cierta parte de esta carretera rural Uriel avistó un extraño ser, una cabra negra (macho cabrío) que caminaba en dos patas. Razón por la que tuvo que forzar el motor de su motocicleta, con tal de dejarla atrás.Uriel cree que aquello que vio se trataba del Huay Chivo, un ser que era temido por los propios mayas, y cuya presencia se extiende por todo Yucatán. Es una leyenda muy antigua que dice que esa cabra que camina en dos patas en realidad es un brujo muy poderoso que entregó su cuerpo y alma a deidades oscuras para obtener la habilidad de transformarse en esta horrorosa criatura, la cual es un hibrido de humano y chivo.
