7 Keys for Superintendents to Succeed Superintendents have the great responsibility of leading an entire district that consists of numerous schools, thousands of students and hundreds of teachers. We often look to the principal as the person with the highest title, but it's actually the superintendent who establishes the district wide goals, institutes policies, and hold school leaders accountable for student outcomes. But how are they leveraging their positions to transform the community they lead? How are they keeping a pulse on what is happening in their schools, beyond the yearly evaluations they may conduct on each leader once a year? These 7 keys will unlock opportunities for the superintendent to have system wide impact and lead with integrity.
