Lauren Bok and Claire Sullivan
We watched Season 4 Episode 15: I Love Lisa! A Valentines Day romp where Ralph Wiggum choo choo chooses Lisa with disastrous consequences. Bok loves that chalky chalky love heart candy and still bites her nails, Claire was a nosepicker as a kid and loves Killer Pythons. Both took time to reflect on slash retraumatise themselves with childhood and teenage romantic situations. They gush over this heartfelt and heartbreaking episode.
We watched S04 E14: Brother From Another Planet! Homer and Bart get Big Brothers/Little Brothers, Lisa is obsessed with calling the Corey Hotline. Both talk first crushes: Bok's was Devon Sawa, and Claire had a crush on Jeremy Sumpter and used to kiss the DVD cover of Peter Pan, and Bok laughs about that for a full 10 seconds and stands by the decision not to edit it out. We drift into HacklessGate* territory in a spirited discussion on when the moon is not in the night sky. Who is right? technically both of us, but try telling us that. This episode was a bit meh, because Tom Cruise isn't in it. *HacklessGate is a discussion in a previous episode in which Bok basically gaslights Claire into thinking Chief Wiggum said 'Hackless' instead of 'Hatless' and was fiercely corrected on social media. Every day we try to do better. Except today.
We listened to S04E13: Selma's Choice! There's like 3 different storylines going on here!! Selma wants a baby, Homer wants a sandwich, Aunt Gladys wants a bit of bloody peace and quiet! Claire thinks having cool teenage daughter would be nice, Bok tells a story about a heirloom that turned out to be not an heirloom at all, and both absolutely love Space Mountain. Fun Fact: Conan O'Brien came up with the name 'jub jub'!

We watched Season 4 Episode 11: Homer's Triple Bypass! Homer has a heart attack, we meet Dr Nick Riviera for the first time. This was an excellent example of joke writing vs serious subject matter, Claire found this episode very stressful, Bok experiences technical difficulties right when making a poignant moment, both talk extensively about dentists (For real, trigger warning for mouth gore for the first 20 minutes. Oh yes, 20 big ones of deep dentist chat)
We watched S04E10: Lisa's First Word! We see the origins of the Simpson family, Claire teaches Bok about toxoplasmosis, both tried to run away from home (vaguely) and also LOVE the olympics! Bok in Melbourne's COVID lockdown has finally learnt how to mulch and has perfected wearing a mask, Claire's back in tassie living large and her mum's mates can't tell a bloody story to save their lives. Both agree that horror fans are snobs.
We watched Season 4 Episode 4: Lisa The Beauty Queen! Lisa enters the Little Miss Springfield pageant. Everyone likes rollerskates including Claire in lockdown but Bok is still a little shy, this episode was bloody great, they both agree they aren't ugly.

Abandoning the episode entirely, we do a Season 3 Quiz and see how Claire is tracking with her Simpsons knowledge! N.B. This episode was recorded in The Before Times, and has no COVID19 references.
We watched S03E23: Bart's Best Friend Falls In Love! Milhouse gets a girlfriend and Bart's not happy about it, Homer extends his waistline and his vocabulary. Bok had a magic 8 ball, Claire also dabbled in fortune telling as a child, both discuss options for (inevitable) simpsons tattoos.
