In this episode Shawn's dad gets laid off right around Christmas, so Cory vows to get Shawn a present for Christmas this year. Santa Claus has a heart attack when Morgan sits on his lap, traumatizing her. I really liked this episode. It was funny and sweet and tugged at my heartstrings. It truly reminded me what it was like to be a kid in the 90's since I was the boys's age Cory and Shawn. Minkus got on my ever loving nerve this episode with his constant chant to Shawn "Do you have the $5 you owe? to the point that I was hoping Shawn was going to punt him into the lunch room wall. Feeny of course teaches Cory a valuable lesson outside of the classroom as well since they're fence neighbors as well as teacher and student. Giving a gift without the expectation of thanks. A Christmas Carol telling in the theme through the episode and I was wondering if the closest version of the for the kids and myself in the 90's was Mickey's Christmas Carol. I really had a fun time covering this episode and maybe I'll revisit the show again at a later date down the road. Have a wonderful holiday today and a Happy New Year too.
