Se acercó un jefe de la sinagoga, que se llamaba Jairo, y al verlo se echó a sus pies, rogándole con insistencia:—Mi niña está en las últimas; ven, pon las manos sobre ella, para que se cure y viva.Jesús se fue con él, acompañado de mucha gente que lo apretujaba. Había una mujer que padecía flujos de sangre desde hacía doce años. Muchos médicos la habían sometido a toda clase de tratamientos y se había gastado en eso toda su fortuna; pero en vez de mejorar, se había puesto peor. Oyó hablar de Jesús y, acercándose por detrás entre la gente, le tocó el manto, pensando que, con sólo tocarle el vestido, curaría. Inmediatamente se secó la fuente de sus hemorragias y notó que su cuerpo estaba curado. No permitió que lo acompañaran más que Pedro, Santiago y Juan, el hermano de Santiago.Al llegar a la casa del jefe de la sinagoga, vio Jesús el alboroto de la gente y oyó los llantos y los alaridos que daban. Entró y les dijo: “¿Qué significa tanto llanto y alboroto? La niña no está muerta, está dormida”. His band's music is really taking off in the city.Soon after, Jake learns that a record label wants to meet with him. He has to go, even though it means missing the big performance. At first, Nikki asks him not to leave because she's nervous about singing again, but she ultimately encourages him to go. It's his dream.At the performance, Nikki's voice cracks at first — but she powers through. Just when it matters most, Jake shows up, and they sing together.Afterward, Jake tells her the meeting was brief: the label wants to sign them and send them on tour. But he's worked out a plan so he won't be gone for long stretches — he'll move back home and commute to the city for recording.They finally kiss. When she learns thather late great aunt left her half of a cat café in upstate New York she thinks it's the Christmas miracleshe needed – as long as she can sell and close the deal before the holidays. Olivia's plan hits a bumpin the road when she meets Dr. Ben Kane (Campbell), the veterinarian who owns the other half. Thecafé serves an important role in the town – helping homeless cats find forever homes – and he hasno intention of closing up shop. Christmas is the most important time of the year as they plan manyactivities to help raise funds and get them into the black. Olivia and Ben strike a deal – she agrees tohelp him plan the fundraising events at the café over the next three weeks in exchange for Benpromising not to drag his heels on selling at the end of that time.
