Hey Madison here! We are trying something new! Brittani and I are going to take turns releasing mini episodes sharing some of their thoughts on the topic of the month. I'm kicking off with some additional thoughts I have about goals. While I have been learning about goals for the podcast and for my life I have had a huge shift in the goals I am setting for myself. I am ending the month with completely different goals for 2022 that what I started with. I am no longer picking goals based on my social media feed. I am making my goals personal and trackable. I am learning the importance of affirmations and getting my mindset working for me instead of against me. I am finding people with similar goals and JOINING IN. No more sitting on the sideline hoping their success will rub off on to me. I need to get in the game and learn alongside people who inspire me.
Have you already given up on your New Year Resolution for 2022? Studies show that 80% of people give up on there New Year Goal by the second week of February! Its never to late to make goals that can propel us into the lives we want to live.
We are starting the year with a healthy mindset. Join us as we discuss how to get in the correct mindset for growth through love and acceptance vs hate and resentment. We explore what acceptance can look like, how to start your growth journey by first finding and accepting where and who you are, and how to change our perspective on goals. This week we discuss the emotional and mental labor that is carried by women. The to do lists, schedules, grocery lists, bedtime, emotional support and the millions of other ways we help the house to function and run smooth. There is a reason that men struggle to naturally take the load from us and it isn't because they don't want to or don't care. With a few changes in communication the emotional and mental labor can be shared with your spouse.

Happy Mothers day! Today we wanted to talk about what really defines motherhood. It's not the housekeeping, the amount of time spent at home, the quality of food we cook, or the hundreds of other to dos and expectations we give ourselves. Its not even about having a baby. Motherhood is the divine relationship we have with other people. It's our potential and ability to touch others lives and change the world through love and caring for others.
The last year has been unique and challenging for all of us. It has caused a lot of changes and need or new routines. We discuss the changes we have had and how being open to a reset is so beneficial to our mental health.
We are back after spring break and we want to talk about how nobody, including us, knows what they are doing. It easy to get down on yourself because someone else has it all figured out. It easy to never start something because its something you have never done. The trick is realizing that at one point that person who is doing so well had no clue either! Also, being humble enough to say, "I don't have all the answers" opens us up to having deeper conversations with people who have different views and opinions than us. We discuss changing the way we talk to others and finding space for all thoughts, feelings, and opinions, including our own.
In this week's episode we talk all about body positivity. We talk about our personal struggles with body positivity and the shaming surrounded around bodies.
